Pirates Kitchen is located in the City Plaza (in the same plaza and next to Bakers & Baristas and La Tavolata). The ambiance here is very fun and playful with a mural of pirates, ropes, lifeguard rescue tubes, and barrels! Staff here is very friendly, sweet, and attentive! They are quick to take your order and checks in with you to make sure if you need new gloves, ketchup, limes, etc. You can veto choose your 1) Seafood, 2) Flavor, 3) Spice level, and 4) Add-ons. I usually order their shrimp with their Full House flavor - mild spice level, which consists of all three of your flavors: Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, and PK Sauce. For add-ons, I like getting their corn and garlic bread to absorb all that delicious flavor. Of course, you can't forget the Cajun Fries! I've also tried their steak tacos, soy garlic wings, and seafood cream pasta. The pasta is nice and creamy! I'd pass the tacos and wings. I came here for 2 reasons: 2lbs for $20 and $1 soju shots. Pirate's Kitchen did not disappoint!  2lbs of head-on shrimp for $20 is a great deal for seafood boils in this area. It;s also just a pretty good quality seafood boil as well. The shrimp was well cooked, and everything was flavorful but not salty. I do think that the deal is now $25 for 2lbs, but that is still cheaper than most places around. I added sausage, corn, and potatoes, and my party of two was full. I also super enjoy the $1 shots of soju. It's 6 shots max per person, but that puts you at a nice buzz for your meal. You can also opt for their Buy 2 Bottles Get The 3rd Bottle Free deal, which would be nice if you have a bigger party.  The service here was super nice, and there wasn't a long wait at all. I chose to come to Pirates Kitchen this time because I was able to order snow crab, shrimp, and popcorn shrimp. I came in on a Friday and service was great. I did order a little too much food; however, I really enjoyed everything. If you're looking to order a seafood boil combo, it is a little on the pricey side here; however, I was pleased with the portion sizes. Unlike some of the other seafood spots, I would have loved if they had stations to wash hands as seafood boils get very messy! I have them throw my seafood boil into a mix of all three of their sauces and I order level 3 "Hot" level spicy. The shrimp is good, but it did get overcooked in the very temperature hot sauces in the bag. Their snow crab legs were so huge that I thought that they accidentally gave me king crab. The popcorn shrimp was delicious, it's a generous portion, and they serve it with cajun fries. The only thing that could have made that better for me would have been a nice cocktail sauce with strong horseradish. I definitely would come again. If you are free, they have a great lunch special during the week before 3pm where you can get 2lbs shrimp for $20. One thing I noticed is as I ate I looked around and literally made eye contact with other customers, I promise you some of them nodded at me like, yah girl it's good huh?! It was. Loved my experience here at Pirates Kitchen! I dined here with my family over the weekend and was so impressed with the yummy food and the amazing service. We ordered the butterfly shrimp and Cajun fries with a chipotle aioli to start us off, and this was incredible! Everything was so well seasoned and the chipotle aioli was so flavorful and perfectly balanced with the food. We then ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and one lb of mussels with the full house sauce, spice level 2. I would say I have a pretty high spice tolerance and I didn't find spice level 2 (medium) to be spicy at all but that's just me. Next time I'd be curious to try spice level 3 or 4. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp, snow crab, king crab and lobster tail. We added some corn and sausage with some sides of rice. The heat levels range from 1-5 and we ordered level 3 "hot" for all our food with a side cup of level 4 "extra hot". We got the full house seasoning which I would highly recommend. Honestly, you don't know where to begin. They started the add-ons sausage potatoes, corn one piece of corn and two clusters came out to be 60 something dollars was not worth it. The sausage taste like old. It's been sitting there for a while. Food 4 Less sausage. Really didn't get to the corn due to the crab legs being hard and tough and hard to get to. While waiting for the bathroom, the kitchen door was open so I took the opportunity to video the kitchen. See for yourself. So you can enjoy a meal but the uncertainty of whether or not you're gonna shit and barf your guts out a couple hours later make this place a roll of the dice. I suggest a cleaning team pull everything away from the walls and get busy cleaning everything.
