My family and I were just driving around, looking for a place to eat when we saw Lucky Wok. We went inside and saw that it was empty, but the reviews were very great. We were given menus by a very kind woman and she also took our order. I think it was a little bit hard for her to understand our order, but we didn't mind at all! My dad had no problem explaining it to her very carefully so she could get it right, and she did. She also gave us some coffee candies, which were pretty good. The restaurant itself was fairly clean, there were no stains on the table or seats and everything seemed neat. The food was very good, I enjoyed the texture of the chow mein and the flavor of the beef and broccoli. Love it! read more

It's not some fancy sit-down restaurant, but the food is delicious, the portions are huge (really!) and they deliver!!!! :-) I'm from New York --those of you who have had Chinese food in New York know how tasty it is-- and in my opinion, NY Chinese is better than California's, but Lucky Wok is the only place that has come anywhere near that fabulous flavor! I have yet to find a dish I didn't like. Recommendations: The chow mein (especially the BBQ Pork Chow Mein) is delicious and plentiful. The orange chicken? To die for!! The dumplings (steamed) are OH, SO GOOD!! :-P ~ Now, I LOVE this place, but I have two issues with it (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5): * They are closed on Sundays! (I hate that!) * They tend to take a bit more time than I like, to make/deliver the food! However, if you are willing to wait (20 minutes for take out or about 40 minutes for delivery) then by all means. The food is worth the wait!! Seriously the best Chinese food for miles! I've been here before for takeout for the tofu with vegetables and it was alright, not as good as some other places I frequent. The other day, since I was home sick with a summer cold and didn't have anything to eat all day and I was getting weak from hunger, I decided to call them for delivery. I ordered the vegetable fried rice and asked them for their opinion on the fish with garlic or the fish with black bean and they helped me decide on the latter. It was quick and easy and they delivered to me in about 20 minutes. I had just enough strength to hop outside and get the mail and the nice driver was right around the corner with my hot and delicious food. The vegetable fried rice was mixed with egg and vegetables and flavored just right and the white fish was tender and flaky mixed with soft white onions in a light gravy with black beans. I expected the fish to be on the salty side based on other black bean dishes at other restaurants but it was perfectly seasoned (i.e. not salty). I'll be back for more. read more
