We couldn't be happier with Treat Lady Training!
    Jessica T.

I can't say enough great thing's about Treat Lady Training; we have 3 dogs, all different ages, personalities and breeds, so clearly each one has different needs. The first thing is that TLT is mobile so I don't have to load my dogs up and take them to a facility; this is great especially helpful as we have a 7 year old in the mix as well. Each dogs individual needs are met and TLT even incorporates our daughter. If you're looking for an extremely knowledgeable trainer, look no further!

You'll get plenty of support you need along the way as long as you'll ask for it. I text Michael, sometimes daily, all my questions and concerns regarding the training, and I've never been left without an answer! He'll also provide a ton of materials (videos, books, articles) you need to familiarize yourself with to set you up for success. Me and my dogs are working on solving the fence fighting issue, and so far one of them is actually responsive to my efforts. When I reached out to Michael I didn't think that much can be done, but now I see a light at the end of a very, very long tunnel :). All our sessions have been online so far, as few days before our first scheduled meeting the stay at home order was placed. Online conference worked just as well for us, and we didn't have to delay the training any longer. A recent addition- online "support group" where his customers can share ideas and chat is a great idea too! Overall, I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Michael.

Playtime was not fun for us because he would get too worked up and end up with what I called a "zoomy meltdown", which involved a lot of jumping and nipping. Thanks to the training, we have an energetic sweet boy instead of a lot of stress and worry.

When I began searching for a trainer for our 13-month-oldhusky, Zokke, I was unsure about what type…read moreof training would be best. It soon became clear that Zokke could detect my medical condition, but she still needed advanced obedience training to behave calmly, respectfully, and attentively in public spaces. Although we considered many choices, we required a person to be open to collaborating with a Husky who demonstrated abilities as a medical service dog. Now huskies are notoriously difficult to train, even for basic obedience, making them a challenge as medical service dogs. When I told other trainers about our Zokke, many advised against service dog training. After my search, I found Aaron at Sit Means Sit. He welcomed collaboration from the start and proved to be a skilled trainer who understands different dog breeds and their unique behaviors, offering patient guidance tailored to each dog. Aaron's training approach encompasses not only obedience instruction for dogs but also emphasizes educating his clients about their vital role in the process. Aaron is committed to the owner and dog become a team. Aaron helped me see that I needed training just as much as Zokke. This collaborative partnership is fundamental to achieving successful outcomes for both Zokke and I. Upon our first meeting Aaron discussed with me the challenges Zokke was facing and my goals for both of us. That initial challenge involved training Zokke to walk calmly on a leash without undue pulling. It was necessary to modify the innate behavior developed from sled pulling into a more controlled walking style. When one style of training did not work, Aaron guided me to another and another technique until Zokke understood what it was to walk calmly by my side, on and off leach. For instance, he said and I quote just drop the leach, rather than holding it. Walla, that worked, she walked calmly beside me, no pulling. It is all about communication with your dog. With Aaron's guidance, she and I both achieved our goal, and it felt incredibly rewarding when she understood. She also needed to greet adults and children with a calm demeanor, fully aware that one day she would often be in restaurants, stores, motels, hospitals, and faced with challenges like ignoring distractions or other animals she might meet. During the past two years, Aaron has worked with Zokke, and together we have formed a formidable team. We have brought Zokke into restaurants, where her training has been so effective that people frequently remark, "I didn't even realize she was here," which is a wonderful compliment to her skills. Aaron frequently says to Zokke, "You're rocking it today." If Zokke faces a challenge, Aaron comes to help wherever it occurs—our home, neighborhood, or elsewhere. He always checks in on Zokke, and after I update him, we arrange to address the issue together. During group training sessions, Aaron engages individually with each client to discuss their progress, their dog's behavior, and any challenges they are facing. He evaluates the effectiveness of current strategies and identifies areas for improvement. Group sessions provide an opportunity for clients to connect with one another, share experiences, and offer mutual support, as many of us have encountered similar situations. Dogs also benefit from these interactions by observing and learning from each other and often form positive associations or friendships. Additionally, dedicated social time is integrated for the dogs to practice and develop appropriate manners when interacting with peers. Eighteen months ago, during a family emergency, I asked Aaron to board Zokke as she was familiar with Aaron and felt comfortable throughout her stay. He sent me updated videos of her, wow, which were unexpected. This was amazing, gave me peace of mind and I see she was happy too. I will forever be indebted to Arron for coming alongside me when I truly need support. One of the unbelievable aspects of “Sit Means Sit,” is that the training is for life! Yes, call, text, one-on-one sessions, and group. Do you need to board your dog? Yes, Aaron will also board your dog in a loving and welcoming environment. Do you need to board and train, yes that is available too, where your dog gets one-one training. I highly recommend Aaron and Sit-Means-Sit for their effective training, honest communication, and success with challenging animals. Their approach goes beyond obedience, helping you build a meaningful relationship with your dog. They are loyal and caring, and with Aaron's help, we built a strong relationship together. Going with Sit Means Sit was the best decision I made for both Zokke and myself.

Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. We did a ton of research and even met with other companies but we could not have been happier with our choice.

With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. Bob gave me the tools to overcome this bump in the road and for that I was very grateful. It just was not happening before I hired him. We were and are in training with someone else to pass the AKC CGC test to become a Therapy Dog and he just wasn't getting it. I felt that this $350 was money well spent. When it came time to test, I got nervous so I called Bob again to help me with the portion of the test that was to have my dog have no reaction to another dog. There are certain tasks your dog has to pass and this is one of them. It is more than just walking by another dog. He was to take the test the next day but I was nervous to take the test in case he was to fail this portion. He suggested we meet in front of Petsmart. I was hesitant to stand in front of a store asking customers for help, but hey he is the trainer. I don't know if Bob is unfamiliar with the CGC test as he kept asking me what was expected. Maybe, he just wanted to visit. I kept wondering, "Why is he asking me? He is the professional, not me." After 3 customer's dogs pass by he said, "This lesson was a bust. I'm not going to charge you. You can use me for something else."He encouraged me to take the test anyway. Little did I know that the encouragement would cost $350. My dog did pass the test today, but it is not because of yesterday. My dog and I work every single day together. I absolutely use the tools I was taught by Bob for heeling. My dog is also still in obedience school with another trainer and doesn't need anything Bob has to offer. So, I asked for a refund and he said no. What he did for my dog that day was just look for dogs from customers, pace around the sidewalk and we pretty much just visited. Bob is quite an entertaining guy. This is a picture of Bob's response when I asked for a refund. My response was "Merry Christmas. Keep the money. God Bless." I guess he needs it more than I. Bob knows that standing in front of Petsmart talking and hitting up a few customers is not what got my dog to pass the test. It was hard work for the last 6 months and we have more to go. We are on our way to help those who need a great big dog hug.
