They have the tools and towels to get your furry friend fresh and clean. There is a drying station to add the final touches to the bathing. If you're in need there is an offering of a la cart services such as nail trimming etc. The prices are reasonable and the products are top notch. If you're in need for a little more, they offer a full service grooming salon. Bath, brush, trim, deshedding, nail trimming etc. My dog has been in several times for full service grooming. He is well cared for and the groomers have him looking and smelling his best. They are also a small pet shop offering food, grooming products, toys, treats, training aids etc. Wag n Wash is a one stop shop for grooming and pet supplies.

For our ShiTzu we asked, at LEAST 4 times to 2 different people, that they NOT cut her bangs since we are letting them grow out. No trimming from her eyes UP. VERY clear, many times, with their confirmation. We were close to her bangs being long enough to put into a ponytail which our dog is totally fine with. Not only did they ultra cut her bangs 1/3 of the way into the BACK of her head, think nerdy buzz cut, they cut most of her top knot so it's super short and barely any pony at all. A red flag was when I was on the phone w/ Hannah, I told her we wanted a fluffy puppy cut, and her response was "What do you mean by a 'puppy cut?'." They said they would keep her fluffy and use no lower than a 4 trimmer, she is at least a 3 in most places, maybe a 2 on her body! When I dropped her off at 11:50a, they said she'd be ready by 2pm. At 2:20 I called to say I was on my way and she said she needed at least another 20 minutes. I said that is fine, just call me when she's done and I'll come in. She never called me but I went in 40 minutes later, only to find they had been done for 30+ minutes. They never said how the appointment went, how my dog did, or if she was ok for the 3 hours she was there. When I mentioned that her bangs were short after my asking they NOT be cut, she replied "I couldn't get it all into a ponytail and it was in her face so I cut it." I said it was a week within being long enough, that I asked at LEAST 4 times that it NOT be cut, she said nothing. As they kept ringing me out I mentioned it again, seeing HOW SHORT her hair is, and she finally said "sorry." So we get to grow it out again, and she's super short all over. And she does NOT look like professional ShiTzu cut. I had heard SUCH good things about this place and I really thought with my asking so many people so many times that it would be close to what we were asking. SO WRONG. I will say that the positives are my dog seems fine, she has no scratches or burns, and she doesn't look HORRID, but she doesn't look good either. They seemed overworked and just not happy to see us or a big Golden-doodle. They then said that my dog's ears would have to be shaved due to mats after about two seconds of feeling them. Don't get me wrong, there were some mats but not excessive to the point of shaving. Our pup has thick beautiful hair and there was no thorough inspection done. She literally felt them for 5 seconds and said we have to shave them. #lazy We are extremely busy and don't always do a good job of brushing daily, but we do try. My wife left her there anyway but then we decided no we are not shaving her ears. So we went back to pick her up. The associate then treated my wife rudely asking well what are you going to do. She simply said I'll use a special brush and comb to fix her ears and they asked are you taking her somewhere else. My wife said yes we were taking her somewhere else. At that point they said they could do that but it would cost more and we have to pay up front. No thank you at this point. They should have inspected more closely, wanted to put in the effort to keep my dog sexy and offered that to begin with. And by the way, we were willing to pay extra for the help. We get it. But to simply say we have to shave them, no. My wife came home and spent about 30 minutes and got all mats out and she is now ready to get a wash. All I want out of a groomer is one that is happy to see us, one we can trust to make our pups look great and they try to make the dogs feel comfortable and pampered. That was not the vibe today and we will have to look for a new groomer down the road. Maybe it was due to it being late on a Friday but if that's the case they need to do a better job at booking the appointments.

It cost too much money to board the pups there and deal with terrible customer service, paying for additional days because of limited pick-up times is too much for me. We continued to pay with cash most of the time and tipped accordingly. A Reasonable exchange, right? On September 19, 2024, I picked up our dog and was charged $128.00 for bath and groom. When asked to check the charge, I was informed that there was a $50 charge added to my bill because of a missed appointment. The extra Charge was the "thanks" we received for being loyal, cash-paying, and tipping customers. We had never missed an appointment in over 8 years. Is this any way to treat long-term customers? I could understand if we were repeat offenders, received warnings in the past, or even had difficult dogs. I choose not to do business with any business that is not reasonable and appreciative of my business. Is "Yips and Yaps" grown too big to care? You decide for yourself when it happens to you.
