The dog spa remains amazing! We love taking our dog here and fully trust them with our baby. They are always so nice when we take him in and pick him up and prices are great too. They always remember him and are so sweet whenever we talk to them. Our dog looks perfect after getting groomed here, we do the shedless wash and we get his nails trimmed too. They don't give respect to owner requests and have very poor communication. The cut is uneven and awkward. For our ShiTzu we asked, at LEAST 4 times to 2 different people, that they NOT cut her bangs since we are letting them grow out. No trimming from her eyes UP. VERY clear, many times, with their confirmation. We were close to her bangs being long enough to put into a ponytail which our dog is totally fine with. Not only did they ultra cut her bangs 1/3 of the way into the BACK of her head, think nerdy buzz cut, they cut most of her top knot so it's super short and barely any pony at all. A red flag was when I was on the phone w/ Hannah, I told her we wanted a fluffy puppy cut, and her response was "What do you mean by a 'puppy cut?'." They said they would keep her fluffy and use no lower than a 4 trimmer, she is at least a 3 in most places, maybe a 2 on her body! When I dropped her off at 11:50a, they said she'd be ready by 2pm. At 2:20 I called to say I was on my way and she said she needed at least another 20 minutes. I said that is fine, just call me when she's done and I'll come in. She never called me but I went in 40 minutes later, only to find they had been done for 30+ minutes. They never said how the appointment went, how my dog did, or if she was ok for the 3 hours she was there. When I mentioned that her bangs were short after my asking they NOT be cut, she replied "I couldn't get it all into a ponytail and it was in her face so I cut it." I said it was a week within being long enough, that I asked at LEAST 4 times that it NOT be cut, she said nothing. As they kept ringing me out I mentioned it again, seeing HOW SHORT her hair is, and she finally said "sorry." So we get to grow it out again, and she's super short all over. And she does NOT look like professional ShiTzu cut. I had heard SUCH good things about this place and I really thought with my asking so many people so many times that it would be close to what we were asking. SO WRONG. I will say that the positives are my dog seems fine, she has no scratches or burns, and she doesn't look HORRID, but she doesn't look good either. My dad dropped my dog, Belvedere, off yesterday for his first grooming there. He's a little white toy poodle. I wasn't able to take him due to work but I did describe how I would like him cut over the phone. I received exactly what I asked for. When I got home he's soo excited to show me his new cut. He looked and smelled great! He's allergic to perfumes, which I did let them know. He didn't smell all powdery just nice and fresh! Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!! I was very happy with Dog Spa 2. My dog is big and super furry, and he required a lot of work. He had some matted spots that they were able to cut out and they blew out all of his undercoat for the summer and washed him and gave him a trim. They did all of this in less time than I thought it would take, they did a great job, and it was extremely reasonably priced! Thank you Dog spa! read more

I'm so annoyed with this place. I completely forgot about a grooming appointment my dog had on may 19. I called today to make an appointment and they tell me I no call no show. I look in my calendar and I sure enough missed the appt. So the lady tells me they have to charge me $35. I said, I've been coming there for 18 years, 3 dogs and never missed an appointment this is the first time ever. I didn't even know they had a policy. So she asked her boss if they can waive it and the boss says no it's not fair to the other customers. So I told the lady I guess I will pay it. Then she tells me I can't make an appointment until I pay the $35. Now this is after the 3 cancelled appointments they did on me when they transitioned owners or whatever happened a couple years ago and in the winter my appointment was cancelled because of snow. When they called me an hour before my appointment to tell me I need to reschedule they said I was the only one left on the schedule that didn't cancel their appointment. Did I charge them $35 for all my inconveniences, absolutely not. I am not returning here ever. I'm taking my $20 tips some place else. Also, the amount of people over the years that go here because of my recommendation is a lot. I'm sending them all this review. read more

Our 11 yr old Fluffy Corgi had back surgery a year ago and I had a hard time finding a groomer that I felt comfortable taking him to. I needed someone that was going to be detailed oriented and also extremely gentle....and understand he is a Corgi that's had back surgery!!! The Dog Spa was exactly what I was looking for!!! He gets a bath, haircut, and nails....... they do a great job and are so sweet and gentle to my old guy! We've been twice and have definitely found our groomer!!! read more

This was the best dog grooming experience I have ever had. The employees were kind and did a great job on my dog, who had matted fur and a thick undercoat because he couldn't be groomed while recovering from surgery and then was flown from Hawaii to LA and then driven from LA to St. Charles. He was in desperate need of grooming when he got to our new home a month later. His fur was so soft and silky and shiny after grooming, with no more matted fur. All his undercoat was totally blown out so that he will be cooler. He looks so handsome! Also, the price was really reasonable for all that they had to do. Today was the first and last time I ever take my dog to this place. First of all they take forever to cut your dog. I was used to my old groomer only taking an hour and she was ready to be picked up. When I walked in and took one look at my dog it didn't even look like she had been groomed at all. They definitely gave her a bath for her hair was not the lengths that I asked for it to be, it looks like her face had barely been trimmed at all, her top knot was not trimmed at all. And I didn't realize it at the time because I was so pissed off but they also gave her razor rash on her neck and back. I was so pissed I had made a follow-up appointment for the next weekend for them to fix it. They still charged me $35 for the horrible cut. I was willing to give them money for the wash and her nails and her ear cleaning but they did definitely did not deserve any money for the trim. When I left there I went straight to another place called petsway because I knew they were open till 8 p.m. and went in there practically crying and shaking because I was so pissed at what they did. I showed them the picture that I showed the other place and they took one look at it and said yeah they definitely did not do hardly anything to this dog and they gave her razor rash. Once I saw that I was even more pissed. I called them back right away canceled the appointment on November 23rd and let them know that I was giving them definitely a bad review and spreading the word over Facebook and social media so that no one ever takes their dog to them. It was the most unprofessional messy job I've ever seen!!! The place looks like trash too. read more

We took our Australian Shepard here multiple times and were satisfied until this past week when we took him and were very unhappy with the service we got. They told us that we miscommunicated what we wanted. He came home not even looking like he had gotten a bath and trim, when we asked why there was the same mat behind his ear that he had when we took him in they claimed that during a trim they do not groom their face... and that no groomers do when I called another groomer to confirm this they laughed and said that was not true. We honestly feel like we paid $60 for the bandana they put on him after. When we took him back up there to see what they could do to fix the issue our dog laid on the floor and shook, leaving us feeling uncomfortable having them take him back and try to fix his cut. They told us that all they could do was refund our tip because it was our fault. Sad that we tried to support a small business and were treated horribly and didn't receive a proper service. read more

The Dog Spa is the greatest! The ownership and the employees are so patient with the customers' parents. They are courtesy and put their heart into their work. I feel like I'm a VIP when I take my dog in for grooming. The staff knows me and knows my dog. They inform me of any issues they found while grooming my dog and offer advice, but are so sweet and not pushy with their expertise. Absolutely love this place! I had a difficult dog that didn't like groomed they did so good to get her in and out. We also just adopted a 6 year old shih zu who needed grooming so bad! I called Saturday morning taking a chance I could get her in same day and with it being before Christmas thought my chances were slim to none! They squeezed my REBA in at the end of the day and stayed later! I have my babies back in about 2 hours! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We had our pups there in April to be groomed and the groomers took it upon themselves to shave my wheaten terriers without our permission because they were "not cooperating". First of all, call me and I can come get one and try another day. Then they had the nerve to charge us for an actual groom. I could have shaved them myself if that's what I wanted. Then this past Friday we decided the dogs needed their nails trimmed, we began with one and he went Cujo on us. This is the dog that was always the easy one when it came to trimming his nails. We will probably have to take him to the vet so they can sedate him to get his nails trimmed, until we can build his trust back up. We managed to clip our others nails, but she did scratch my arm up pretty bad. I can not imagine what was done to my dogs at this place to make them so fearful. We will 100% never be back and you can bet I tell everyone I come into contact with to NEVER come here! read more

We had never been here but really needed our Lab to get his nails trimmed. I called and they said bring him on by. Never having been there, I did not know there were a few steps down to the Spa. My 10 year old guy has cataracts and steps are getting scary. He would have nothing of them. I went to door to see if there was another way in....Nope. But the groomer said, "Let me grab my clippers. I will come out to do him outside". WHAT?? Talk about amazing customer service!!!!! He was cooperative for only one paw and then decided he was stronger than both of us. She was AMAZINGLY patient, praising his stubborn but cute self and feeding him treats! Not sure what more you could ask for in a place! So very impressed and so very thankful!!!!!! read more
