Y'all, these guys are very well-priced, have insurance, and do great work. They just took out a…read morelarge, multi-trunk chinaberry tree that was in a tricky location. The tree was overhanging: a) our house, b) the power line to our house, c) the neighbor's fence, and d) a guy-line cable for a small radio tower. Now we have a chainsaw and are generally handy, but this tree was definitely not something in our wheelhouse. We had a neighbor-recommended tree guy come out for a quote, and he said we'd likely need a bucket lift and a crew of three... well over $1,200, assuming they would even be able to get a bucket lift in there (would have been tight, and would have been rolled in over a septic field). Later I filled out a quote request form on Yelp for another high-rated tree service provider in the Austin-area, and Yelp offered up The Art of Trees as another option... so submitted the quote request to them as well. The Art of Trees was: a) the first service provider to respond, b) the only one willing to offer an estimate from photos I took (the others needed to make a visit to quote), c) the lowest bidder (AND they even knocked off money from an already low bid to leave the desirable firewood behind), d) by far the most responsive! In no more than 4 hours on a Saturday their 2-man crew climbed and parted that thing out with nothing more than a ladder, some rope, and a chainsaw. So skilled! Chunks of tree were being guided out of the sky narrowly missing cables, fencing, and house. I might have made it awkward by repeatedly trying to watch. No damage, no issues, and they even raked up all the Chinaberry debris. Incredibly nice guys, showed up right on time, and generally blew my mind with how easy they made it all. I'd have gotten that thing taken care of a year ago if I'd known it could be that easy. Thanks!
