When I was little I took some horseback riding lessons here. This weekend I went for a birthday party. Call in advance to reserve a Pavillion. There may be quite a few of them, but they do get booked up. The day I went they were all taken. So just to be sure there is one available, call or go online ahead of time. Just make sure you pay the security deposit in advance. If you don't one of the park rangers will come and remind you. The park is beautifully well maintained. Open walkways, equestrian trails, and tot lots all over. No garbage anywhere on the grounds and garbage cans everywhere. The bathrooms are very clean as well. You can bbq even bring in a petting zoo! Whatever you can think of! It was a great day at the park! read more

Tree Tops Park - Open field - Parks Near Me - Davie, Florida

This park, although far from me, is really one of the best parks Broward has to offer. It's massive. Tons of open field space, shelters for parties (pre-COVID) and playgrounds. The sign at the entrance and online does say only a max of 10 ppl per family are allowed to gather within the premises however, no one is enforcing that rule. There were sooooooooo many gatherings happening today and most of them had between 10 and 20 ppl, and no one really wearing masks. I feel like those signs were just put there to cover their asses. I love this park. We went these once but that's enough for this review. Three playground for 3 different age groups! So for parents with little kids(ya ya). There's a viewing tower. I am scared of height but I enjoyed it. You can also take pictures there--the scenery is amazing! There are a lot of sour orange trees that are producing oranges (all the time) lol I spend time relaxing, playing. It was so great. There's also open space for barbecue. You can bring your own food and do picnics. There are tents areas for parties (I think you have to contact the park for reservations)! Overall great park. read more

What a great park! It is hard to believe that this park may not have existed, if not for the county acquiring the land. Initially, it was going to be an apartment building. Tree Tops Park contains 243.4 acres, with 23 acres of marsh. There is a boardwalk, nature trails, and horse trails. There are more than seven miles available for horse riding, a popular activity in Davie, which is known as horse country. They also offer pony rides for kids, or for beginners. You may think that you are losing your mind, hearing a horse whinnying while on the nature trails, but there are actually several horses on the property. People bring their trailers and horses, and camp out in the park, while making a bonfire and cooking food, as I discovered. One of the best things about the park was the weaving boardwalk. It was very beautiful, and I saw alligators, swamp lilies, and a lovely sunset reflected on the water. Canoe rentals are available, and I can imagine it'd be beautiful to canoe along the marsh and see everything up close. I saw Alligator Flag for the first time, which was just beautiful. The wooden Tree Tops Tower, prior to arriving to the boardwalk, was a fun climb. The place was relatively quiet, and once you get on the trails, it is complete silence. Very nice. Apart from all these things are the pavilions, and playgrounds for kids. Whether you're an adult or a child, there is something for everyone here. I am kind of jealous, because there are no nature preserves or marshes where I live. If I had a park like this near my home, I'd go at least once a week to clear my mind, spot the wildlife and shoot pictures. read more

I was at the park with my bicycle on 2/12/2021 which was a Friday. There is signage saying part closed certain days. I forgot which ones. I'll guess Sunday and Thursday. It might be Sunday through Thursday. Someone please update this with more accurate information. It may be for Covid-19 Testing. It was not clear what the signs mean. I didn't study the map but I was not finding where the longer trails are to ride. I told google to remember where I parked on the map so I could find my way back. Then I explored for about an hour. I'm thinking that I missed most of the park. I'll go back again to find out where there are more trails. read more

There really is a lot to do at this park. They have a ton of walking paths through the trees. The scenery is great, though I'd recommend bringing some big spray. There's a little marshy area you can walk out over that was cool. The observation tower was closed when we went there. I'm not sure if that's permanent but if it's not it looks pretty neat. They have a couple different playgrounds, a garden and tons of fields. It's free in weekdays, a great place to spend an afternoon. read more

As someone who doesn't go out to explore nature and its beauty, I had a fun time adventuring this humongous park. You'll be walking around for hours, but trust me you'll love the exploration vibe. I came here to explore the forest and feast my eyes on the many creatures that live here. There are pathways that you can take to discover different sections of the park. I thought this was an exciting way to see the different varieties of animals and fish while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's outlandish, but you might even encounter an alligator or two in the swamps. I didn't get to spot one, unfortunately. While walking through the outskirts of the forest, I saw married couples with professional photographers taking high caliber pictures of them. I suppose this park is the home of taking romantic pictures; I was amazed and loved the idea! I was very fascinated by the Tree Top Tower and wanted to get a magnificent view of the park, so I made my way up the flight of stairs and took advantage of taking multiple pictures of myself and the view from above. Whether you want to cook a barbecue with friends and family, play sports in the fields, etc., it has everything to make your outdoor experience a convivial one. There's a lot of diversity, and it's trendy! read more

This is one of my favorite parks to go for a walk or a jog. I like that there is shaded paths deep in the wooded area. Unfortunately there can be mosquitoes there at dawn and dusk so bring repellent. Also the view of the marsh area is very neat, especially during sunset. read more

On 1/31/2018 between 9:10-9:30 am my car was broken into and various personal items were stolen. I walk my dogs every morning and park in front of the marina. I called the Police and notified the office @ Tree Tops...was told this was an every day occurrence at this park and the neighboring parks. Apparently, the thieves hit all the parks in the area. While the Police were taking a report...some one came up to me and advised me her car had been broken into a week ago also. I caution anyone who frequents any park in Davie to not leave any expensive items in their car. If u have a luxury vehicle park near an office or near lots of activity. I had a great Sunday at Tree Tops Park! They have paddle boats, I wish I had known that before because I could've purchase the tickets at the entrance. However, I enjoyed just walking around and the tower! They have the Cabanas and also spots for BBQ. 100% recommended for families with children. read more

This Is a really nice and pretty park.There are so many trees and you just feel like you're outside of South Florida and somewhere in the forest. The venue was pretty nice over here as well. You can hold any type of party event in the clubhouse. The prices aren't that bad either read more

It takes a lot for me to complain. I've been kayak fishing here for months. I pay at the front every time with my kayak loaded on the back. I have never been denied entry with my kayak. The lake at this park has a dock as well as pedal boats. Today I was approached by an employee named Paul (Not 100% on name). Paul advised me that I can't kayak at this lake. Instead of politely telling me that I'm unable to kayak, he yelled at me stating "Im glad you got permission from the manager". He then proceeded to threaten that I get ticketed. There are no signs posted that I can't kayak and I have never been denied entry with my kayak clearly loaded on the truck. Many employees have seen me kayak here and never informed me otherwise. I then loaded my kayak and left without an argument. I was then denied a refund from the admission employee, who let me in with my kayak in the first place. Paul was unprofessional and I'm very disappointed that this was how I was informed of the lake rules. read more

Tree Tops Park is seriously beautiful. It is one of the only parks in the area that truly lives up to its name. There's tons of old growth trees and there's quite a lot of shade which makes the park unique for South Florida, since most parks have been completely cleared and don't really provide a lot of shade. TTP hosts a hiking trail, a viewing platform, and open fields. We saw a nice lake and a little elevated walkway near it, truly lovely. There are also pavilions with picnic tables and a playground nestled under some shady trees, so there's something for everybody. As previously mentioned, I really like the fact that the picnic tables and pavilions aren't just out in a big open field so you actually have some respite from the South Florida heat. I was here in November, so with all the shade it was really quite pleasant and you could feel a serious temperature difference between the shady areas in the open fields. I was here for a race, so I didn't have time to check out the nature trails and the observation tower. However, I will definitely be back to check out the nature trail as this park is included and the Florida birding trail! read more

A nearby park that offers relative seclusion from life. Take the short nature trail and head to the marsh. You're not too far from the road, but it's pretty quiet out there. It must be a popular marsh to come feed turtles and fish because if you sit underneath the awning for about 5 to 10 minutes, you'll soon see many turtles and fish move towards you. I've seen soft shell turtles, red-eared sliders, map turtles, catfish, and more. read more

This park is adorable but can be super confusing on foot-let me explain. If you are coming here to meet someone for a party in a pavilion and know exactly where to go, no big deal. You drive in, park the car and mainly stay in one spot. However-if you're a runner or walking with the dog like me and basically doing a 2 mile loop, it's VERY easy to get lost. Thankfully I had put my Map My Run app on and was able to trace back to the origin dot to find where the car was-otherwise I don't think I would have been able to find the car before dark. There are a ton of side "attractions" here. There is a butterfly garden here supposedly but it has been locked off both times I've been here (both saturdays). There is a nature trail that you can go on horseback and on foot, and there is a pier near a marsh (also a dead end-easy to get lost!!). There are several playgrounds-don't use this as a parking landmark since there is more than one. Overall, the park is very clean, has little stations where you can donate bags for doggie bags (which is nice) and has real bathrooms, not port a potties, and even has vending machines near the bathrooms which is a neat change. However, like I said, it's so easy to get lost that I feel like all they need is a few more signs to make it clearer on foot so you don't get lost in the woods before dark :( read more

First time here. Loved it! With all those trees you get shaded trails, shaded picnic tables, shaded tower, etc. They pretty much have it all and for $1.50 on the weekends, how can you go wrong. I wanted to see every trail, even the ones that said for horses only, no pedestrians. I live on the wild side, lol. I think I hiked them all. I was there for 3 hours. Just me, my water, and my Cuban crackers to snack on. If you're serious about walking to burn calories then don't forget the Pine Island trail ALL the way to the back past the air conditioned office with all the rocking chairs. If you do the marsh boardwalk, you'll probably see a momma alligator with her babies. See pics below. You'll also get a brief history on the Seminole and Tequesta native Indians. They were here first!!! You hear that Trump? We're all immigrants. Lol. Go have a nice adventure and connect with nature! read more

I love this park. Beware of alligators and don't feed the animals or throw food in the water or put your limbs in the water. You don't want the gators to run after you or bite your hand. If you see a gator run away fast in a straight line, they probably just want you off their turf. There are lynks, bobcats, and foxes. But don't be afraid, I've never seen any of these, not even the gators. So much to discover. Don't go on the treks alone and beware of the snake pits, there are some by the cactus. The playgrounds are clean and so are the bathrooms. People always picnic in the clearings. read more

I love this place! I came here during the weekend of 4th of July with my boyfriend and there's so much to explore. After having a little picnic at the top of the tower, we decided to go on a walk and explore the area. We went towards the Marsh and played with a curious little turtle for a bit before continuing with our walk. I'm so excited that I'll be living close to here soon since this place is so spacious that it seems great for bbqs and picnics to have with your group of friends. We did get lost at one point but I thought it only added to the appeal of the park even further since it's so big. Also it seems that during the weekends it's a $1.50 per person so we ended up paying $3 for both us. read more

The security lady was so rude she chased me and my family down for not wearing a mask. It's disgusting that this is allowed. There were people around us not wearing masks and she came after me and the kids, not to mention I am 7 months pregnant and we were just trying to enjoy a family day in the park. With wide open space there should not be any harassment in regards to the masks. I will never take my children there again. read more

I took my daughter here to play at the play ground after school. I noticed there were not anybody there. My daughter ran to play and I sat on the bench to watch her. All of a sudden a squirrel walked towards me. I thought that he was going to run out of fear, but no!!! The squirrel jumped on the bent right next to me!!!! I jumped up and left me bottled water, keys and headphones there. I squirrel just looked at me. I ran to the other bench and the squirrel FOLLOWED ME THERE!!!!! I ran back to the other bench and it continued to FOLLOW ME!!!! It jumped on the bench trying to get my water!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!! I was terrified!!!! I had to throw a stick at it so that I could get my belonging so I could leave. Once I got my belonging and we were walking to my car the damn squirrel followed us to the car!!!!! NO THANK YOU!!! Nice trails. Park with toddler area needs to be redone. Zip ties on some of the swings and twist slide. Twist slide unstable, boarded off on top, rocks back and forth. No cover over most of playground and infant swings that get very hot in the sun. Cover over big kid swings. read more
