I waited pretty deep into the palm tree trimming season and every company I called gave me from 3 to 6 weeks out for work to be completed. We reached out to Joe back in November to trim our palm tree that was in serious need of attention. He responded right away, provided a quote and scheduled time to complete the work the next day. Upon arrival, the tree was bigger and in worse condition than he thought (based on pictures I provided), so the quoted price did increase, but the difference wasn't astronomical. In fact, it made more sense as I was a bit shocked at his initial quote which was much less than I thought it would be. His team was still able to trim the tree that day, which took about an hour. When they were finished, they cleaned up the yard so it looked as good as when they arrived, and our tree looked great. Am I the only one who notices how things, good and bad, come in threes? Our third unexpected household repair came in the form of a two-story Texas Ebony tree that began falling apart when monsoon season hit. Three large limbs (Hmmm, there's that three thing again !) fell off in three separate incidents. It was after the third that we realized the tree roots were beginning to pop out of the soil (as the tree was now quite lopsided) and we needed to have this taken out before the rest fell, taking out a few cactus along the way. I did a search on Yelp, asked for a few bids, and Joe was one of those who responded. His rate was reasonable, and he was able to take care of things quickly, so we arranged to have him cut/take the tree a couple days later. While I hated to see it go, Joe is very good at what he does, explaining what needed to be done, and then handling things quickly. In only a little more than an hour the tree was gone, and he had used the leaf blower to clean the area. It ended up looking far better than when the tree was still in place. Began a yelp search for someone that could grind a stump (approx 4' diameter) for me on short notice. Sent out numerous quotes and Joe responded within 5min and provided a very fair quote, well under most others. Joe was on my side of town and able to swing by to start the work 3 hours after my request! The project was likely bigger than he initially anticipated, but that didn't stop him from tackling it right away. Joe spent 4 hours grinding the stump down with his equipment and even used some tools which my landscapers had laying around to assist him.
