I brought my service animal with me to this coffee shop today and had a horrible discriminatory experience. The blonde curly haired manager told me I was not allowed to have my service animal there unless she was wearing a vest, which is false and she had her service dog leash on. She then asked me to pull out my disability paperwork to prove to her that my dog was a service animal. It was excruciatingly embarrassing. I would expect an employee to be educated before harassing an individual with a disability and violating HIPAA laws. I then had to educate her on what she is allowed to ask me and she mocked my question back to me. Please educate your employees on service animal laws and what they are allowed to ask, especially this manager who should be educated and an advocate. I will not be returning and reporting this to the DOJ. read more

Great shop and quality coffee. They offer amazing pour overs and espresso drinks. There is a good amount of seating but it is usually pretty full. They have a few pastries available too that are really good. read more

I went to the Main Street Treeline shop and ordered a latte in a real civilized sit-down cup--thought I'd treat myself to a relaxing brew. When I finished my drink, I respectfully returned my empty cup to the counter so the staff didn't have to retrieve it. The Treeline coffee dude, seeing I had brought my cup up to his area, rolled his eyes and told me to take it to the authorized empty coffee utensil area. What a corse, crude, unappreciative, 'dick.' Naturally I told him to put his cup where the sun don't shine. This is not the first regrettable encounter at this joint--they don't deserve another chance. read more

Fantastic. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. We're from Portland, land of amazing coffee so we know what we're talking about. Oat milk vanilla latte was perfect. Yummy espresso, perfect amount of vanilla. Drip coffee was given a stamp of approval by hubby who likened it to Coava Coffee in Portland. Service was super friendly, especially the guy at the register. He was super nice and chatty and had spent some time in Bend which is a similar vibe to Bozeman. Hint: if you're gonna get the cool stainless steel tree lined travel mug, get it as you get your coffee. There's a free coffee token inside the cup. Found this after we got our coffee so had the register dude pay it forward to the next customer. Merch is amazing here. Better than any coffee shop I've been to. Oh! And they have these cute mini greenhouses out front to sit in! How fun! Overall, a very solid coffee shop that we will return to during any future visits. read more

Love this coffee shop that is very close to the holiday inn, Bozeman. We needed a quick stop on the way out of town and enjoyed some coffee, breakfast burrito and yogurt with compote. Great little coffee/cafe on Main Street. Clean, upscale cafe with friendly and accommodating staff. AND they are open until 5:00-ish PM, that means later most of the coffee shops on Main. Ordered Chai tea and Turmeric tea, no espresso. Prepared fresh and served promptly. I'm pretty sure they make their own tea concentrates. Sat at the shop in one of their many seating options and one of their two dining areas and enjoyed our beverages. Cute areas for lounging, a local job board area, and SWAG for purchase as well. We stopped through on our way to Billings. I enjoyed a lovely berry lemonade. We picked up some instant Nevada City coffee because there weren't any whole beans, which was what I was looking for. The instant was surprisingly delicious for an instant coffee! Overall, delicious coffee, although a bit pricey in comparison to other roasters. My fiancee surprised me over the summer with a bag of beans from this roaster and I was FLOORED by the quality! It's taken me a while to find my way out to Bozeman from San Diego but after going to both cafes and tasting a variety of their coffees I'm totally sold! The roastery Cafe is beautiful and cozy. We sat around for over an hour and really enjoyed being in the space. I had two natural process coffees from Ethiopia and Colombia that were excellent! Dont doubt tiny cities and small roasters! Though I don't visit Treeline very often, I have always liked their coffee and the service has been good. Except for the last time I went which was a few days ago. There were two people behind the counter--man and a woman-just very involved with each other and not with the customers. The woman especially was very dismissive and unhelpful. For example, when my drink was ready, I was waiting around for it. She never informed me that it was ready. When I saw it on the counter I asked if that was mine and she barely gave me the time of day and acted like I was bothering her. Good customer service does not always come naturally to everyone and guidance could be given by the management on how to treat customers--especially if you want them to come back. Just happened into this place on a whim walking back to my car after some shopping. Ordered a small hot chai. Unfortunately the experience was soured by poor customer service. I asked for it to go when ordering so was wondering why there wasn't a lid. The barista in the "Arnold" something muscle shirt merely said " yeah" when I said it was to go. I said can I have a lid ? and the guy merely pointed to a rack. I said sorry I haven't been here before. He said nothing. Ownership I believe some training is in order. I've been hanging out in Montana for a few weeks, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cappuccino I had at Treeline when I finally made it over to Bozeman. It easily could have been from one of my favorite coffee places back in SF or Berkeley, so kudos! Terrible customer service from the barista with dark hair wearing glasses and working this Sunday morning at 9am at the Lark treeline. She has a very rude demeanor and shouldn't be working in a customer service. I brought my 12oz cup showing the exact mark where the 12oz is and she made coffee with about 11oz filled. Maybe that is not a big deal, but I am already paying you 8.25 dollars including 1dol tip so make it right please. Owners encourage customers to address any issues on a spot with the same rude baristas that get upset and become super mean and rude. When I told her that I paid for a 12oz coffee and not the 11oz she got very upset and poured random milk into my coffee to fill it up... My order was with oatmilk and when I asked her if it was oatmilk she didn't even look in my direction nor did she answer. The guy working the same shift was pleasant, but he did not interfere or anything, none of them apologized. I am amazed how the owners find these rude people to work for their businesses. The customer reviews about bad customer service are true. Sometimes you might get lucky if nice people are running the floor or if you didn't have to confront them if something was wrong with your order. read more

Visited Treeline at the recommendation of our barista at Drum Coffee in Missoula. I loved my experience at Drum so I took that recommendation seriously and I was not disappointed. Treeline inhabits this beautiful industrial-esque space where they roast in house. The high ceilings and concrete floor make for a challenging space to fill, but Treeline makes it feel as warm as someone's living room. I kept it simple and ordered a drip coffee but they have a great selection of classic espresso beverages and seasonal varieties. The drip was fresh and complex (bright, medium acidity, caramely) so I was happy. They also have a cute retail selection of stickers, apparel, and jewelry which were cool to peruse. We sat on some comfy couches and watched the snow fall while we enjoyed our coffee. Perfect morning! read more

2 words: coffee flight. We came by on Black Friday and had Columbia, Panama & Blackbeard. Blackbeard is their seasonal and my favorite by far! So smooth! We also had breakfast there. My husband had the bacon burrito, I had the waffle with maple syrup & my mom had the arepa. We all loved our food! The burrito is a manageable size and had a side of delicious salsa. The pancake was simple, but delicious and I think they dusted some cinnamon on top. My mom thought the arepa was maybe a little doughy in the middle, but good! They had some great deals for Black Friday (in store & online). There is a relaxed vibe & friendly people! We ordered 3 bags and had them shipped to our house in AZ. Not feeling the vibe or coffee at this place. My dad and I ordered their nitro cold brew which was an outlandish $4.50 for 12oz. They obviously were having trouble with the draught because it took forever but no apology or even acknowledging there was a problem. Meanwhile all the bros and bras are high fiving! Stopped by Treeline on a Saturday morning finishing off a week in Bozeman. The space is beautiful and industrial, well appointed into nooks with different seating options for different groups. Really good coffee, maybe the best in Bozeman that I have tried yet. This isn't Starbucks, they focus more on coffee than flavored lattes. I had the cappuccino and it was really good, right balance between espresso and milk. I have also had the Mexican Mocha and it is delicious, not too sweet and a little spice at the end. Definitely impressed with Treeline. I was visiting from out of town and needed somewhere I could get a little work done. From previous reviews, Treeline fit the bill. Ambience is great with lots of natural light. Ample seating. Delicious nitro cold brew. Excellent customer service. What more could you ask for? Staff is super friendly--if you ask, they'll plug your computer/tablet/phone in behind the bar. I wanted to purchase coffee beans for my time in Bozeman, but I didn't travel with my grinder. A staff member offered to grind the beans in house for me. Even better customer service--when they were out of the bagged version of the beans I wanted, the guy offered to grab a 12 oz jar, grind the beans, and bag and seal them for me. This is a review of their mail order coffee. My husband received four samplers of their beans for a gift and loved each of the coffees. Some stand out more than others and it's a great way to try different flavors. The beans are freshly roasted and we have been sending it to our coffee-loving friends for several occasions. Last time we ordered, I couldn't find the samplers on the website and after sending an email, they were up on the website and ready to go. Highly recommended! read more

What a find this place was! We were in town for a brief while making our way south and picked Treeline from other reviews. If you REALLY like coffee, this is you place. I loved it. We had food too and everyone left pleased. The place is really nice and once you manage your way in (the door can be hard to manage) the inside is lovely. It took me a while but finally noticed the repurposed telephone pole pieces. Highly recommend if you are a coffee high brow. read more
