Call me old fashioned, but I like my coffee served with a smile and a friendly face. Tree line staff is not warm and inviting in my opinion. The coffee is decent, however, the handful of times I have been there I found myself leaving a half drank coffee on the bar (meaning it wasn't so mind blowing I had to take it). Oh, and if you don't drink milk in your coffee, be prepared to be charged an extra .50 for a splash of almond milk in your drink. On a positive note, the space is gorgeous with lots of natural light. This is such a little gem on the northside of Bozeman. I work in the neighborhood and it's such a treat to hop over here and get a coffee. (It's the only espresso based drink in the area, their neighbor Wild Crumb only serves drip.) I usually just order an 8oz latte or cappuccino, and they've nailed it every time. Perfect milk and excellent espresso. And lovely latte art, which always makes me a little bit happy. And the shop itself! It's calming, chic, cool, interesting, and airy. (Deejay, it's beautiful!) I've really enjoyed being able to sit at the bar and read the paper. The vibe in the place isn't one of "this is now my office, shh i'm working" it's a bit more laid-back and authentic. Quiet conversations between real people over good coffee. The food! The other day I was starving (slight exaggeration) and hopped over there around 2pm for some sustenance. I ordered a veggie burrito and...was pretty freaking impressed. It was sooo good, wrapped in a hearty...wrap, and served cut diagonally and propped up with a side of salsa. Little Red Wagon has become Treeline has become the Coolest little+big coffee shop and roaster in town. Talking with Natalie (the owner) and looking around the uber-cool space, you can tell she is as passionate about Bozeman as she is about coffee, and it shows--the new bar sports local goods and local style. Cute place, disappointing espresso. I had an 8oz mocha and my husband an 8oz latte. Both come with a double shot which should be plenty for the size. Mine was on the sweet side but weak espresso. The latte tasted like drip with milk. They have all the tools, just need to work on final product. read more

Love their specialty drinks in particular. Both locations are great. Can have dogs outside at the neighborhood location, it's hard at the downtown location. Neighbourhood location has grass outside too. More seating at the neighborhood location than the downtown location. It's a bit spendy but it's delicious. WiFi is decent too. This is the first Yelp review I have ever left, but the offensive nature of the roast has compelled me to break character and take a more active stand in my community. You look at the bag and think 'Modest, neutral styling... a matte finish... this is going to be hip AF'. But then shortly after the first sip, you start thinking about all that's wrong with your coffee habit, like rock bottom at your first year away at uni. Super cute coffee shop and I love the vibe of the place. I visited here on a whim with a friend during our trip to Bozeman. My friend and I got coffee cups along with an actually cup of coffee. I got a lavender honey latte and it was so yummy! The only bummer was that my server at the cash register seemed a bit rude, gave me very short responses, and made zero eye contact or smiles (not that they have to, but they just all of a sudden seemed unfriendly after I literally just saw how nice and friendly they were to my friend that ordered first). There was a discount token within the tumbler cup that could be used toward our coffee purchase; and even though the server at cash register was more than happy to apply it for my friend, they were pretty dismissive towards mine, didn't apply any discount after I handed the token over, and charged me full price (which was $6 more than what I was supposed to pay). I was a bit put off and uncomfortable by their attitude and composure so I didn't argue. I'm not sure if it was something I did or the way I look, but the way I was treated made me feel uncomfortable and not valued as a person. Mondays Treeline visit left a sour taste. I come here often since I work from home and always look to change the work landscape. Today I arrived at 4:30 for a meeting that should last an hour (forgot they closed at 5pm). The first thing said to me as I order a coffee, "just so you know we close at 5. Okay Cool. Little did I know that at 4:30 they (workers) were on a full hustle to clean and try to leave at 5 therefore kicking everyone out at 5. Never have I been to a coffee shop and treated like that. The pumpkin spice latte I had yesterday was good but today's quad shot 16 oz vanilla latte was absolutely perfect. I bought a reGular 12 ounce latte $4.25 without flavor (highest i spent on a plain latte ) I asked for it extra hot 170' it did not come that way it was luke warm. So I asked if he could microwave it or make it hotter and he said he can't do that bc it will curdled milk. He wouldn't even try to make it hotter even though I said I've been getting my lattes extra hot for ten years (at other places) and he wouldn't remake it. (Sorry there's a reason Starbucks is so successful they will make it as requested or remake it!!) I'm not going back. PS milk doesn't curdle or burn under 180'!! read more

Gotta say that this place is your trendy coffee shop. Like any other hipster coffee shop I've been to it's pretty bright with natural lighting, very inviting, nice baristas, and great coffee. I got a nitro cold brew since I had an early flight and it did hit the spot. It was very rich in flavor and also smooth. I recommend trying it if you get the chance. read more

For five years of MSU college comings and goings, as a parent visiting Bozeman often, I came to know the Bozeman coffee scene well. Treeline impressed me with the first cup. During the early stages of the pandemic they were on top of local deliveries. Now resettled at home, we are able to receive prompt delivery of coffee beans. This is the best consistently roasted, most flavorful coffee I ever enjoyed. I'm enjoying a cup of my favorite Guatemalan right now. Next up - Peru! Thank you Treeline. read more

I am rarely in Bozeman but anytime I am I will be swinging by this shop for a brew and some beans to go. Excellent coffee, super nice staff and really cool atmosphere. Got an americano and a chai tea. Chai wasn't too bad but have had better. The americano though was undrinkable. By far the worst americano I've ever tasted. The only thing I could think of how it could have been so bad was that they had to of burned the grounds with too hot of water. Literally could not drink it and went somewhere else to grab another beverage. The pricing was outrageous too. Paid over $8 for two 12 ounce beverages that we ended up chucking. Paid around $6 for a 12 ounce and a 16 ounce beverage from the second place we went to and their product was much better. read more

If you enjoy the pretentiousness of the tv show, Portlandia, then you will love this place. I ordered a latte and then asked if they had sugar substitute. I was told they only offered a choice of honey or unrefined sugar. As a diabetic, neither was acceptable to me. I usually carry extra packets , but didn't have any with me. I decided to leave both the coffee and the attitude, went down the street to another coffee place where I got excellent coffee, good service and wasn't treated as a pariah for using sugar substitute. read more

I received two bags of their Burundi coffee (Kinyovu and Bavyeyi). Wow!!! Amazing coffees, both of them. Bright, citrus, yummy-- no milk or sugar necessary. These are clearly talented roasters who know how to bring out the best in coffee and how to select excellent coffees. Far above the average roaster. We will be ordering more. Brava!!!! read more
