TreeMax came out to remove a very large redwood from my yard. From the time requested a quote through Yelp until the end of the job, there was good communication. I also had the option to finance my project if needed which was nice. Although there was some damage to the area surrounding where tree once stood, I was warned ahead of time of the possibility. However, it was still a bit shocking to see when it was all said and done. Overall, a job well done and I'm happy have one less thing to worry about. read more

The owner of the company (Max) and his crew came out in September of 21 to "trim" my tree, but he actually butchered it back so far that the following year ((2022) I could tell it had gone into severe shock. The leaves were much smaller than usual and were falling if in August! I hoped this year would come back to normal but is now completely dead! By April, it should now be in full green but not one leaf on my dead tree so I am facing a large bill to take it out, not to mention the loss of great shade that was so important to my electric bill!!! I had a huge pine tree leaning against my shared fence and was rubbing on my neighbors window. These guys worked quickly and safely to take the tree down, took care of the stump and chopped the trunk into 16 inch logs for me for firewood. They made sure not to damage my lawn and sprinklers by laying down some boards for the stump grinder to roll on. On top of that, their price was so much cheaper than everyone else's. With that in mind and the outstanding job performed, they deserve 5 stars. They were able to take out a massive tree directly next to our RV pad. This is the second time we have used Treemax in the last few years. Both times, they did an excellent job. This time, we had them remove 5 very large trees and prune 4 more. They arrived on time and were very fast and efficient. The entire crew was friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. They were careful to screen our house (and the neighbor's house) from any flying rocks or debris while grinding the stumps and were careful to avoid the nearby irrigation pipes. They also thoroughly cleaned up everything when they were done. We could not be happier with their service. Both of the times we needed someone for tree work, we got competing quotes from a handful of companies. And both times, we went with them because they really seem knowledgeable and conscientious and their price is competitive. Theirs was not the lowest quote we received for the most recent work, but it was very close (it wasn't the highest quote either) and we felt confident they would do a better job than the lowest quote. The guys from TreeMax did a fabulous job for me. I had several that needed trimming because they were starting to lean against fence and drop into neghbor's yard. I also had several that needed to be removed. They came out and gave me an estimate that was fair for the work needed. They cam back out a few weeks later and did a great job. First the bad news. I miss my tree! It really was a big beautiful tree. Unfortunately it was a messy tree right over top of our swimming pool. Now the good news! TreeMax was at our place about 8:30 this morning. They were gone before noon. In that time they took down 3 trees, trimmed at least 2 trees, and cleaned up the neighbors trees bellowing over our fence on the side of our house. They cleaned up our yard and did some cleanup in the neighbors yard. The crew was friendly, and they told us they weren't leaving until we were completely satisfied. We has several companies come and provide estimates for our huge mulberry tree. It has overgrown as you can tell from the before picture. TreeMax was on time for the estimate, provided a reasonable price and followed up with me during the decision process and revised the estimate as well. They were great! The crew did a really good job lifting up the skirt of the tree and cutting it back so that it won't bother the neighbors for a while. They left the area clean and free of debris from the job. I called several places for the removal of a mid-sized tree in my front yard and trimming of another tree. Treemax was the only one to follow through by coming to look at the tree and give me a quote. They arrived on time, patiently listened to and answered my questions. I asked the guy's name who I spoke to the most but have forgotten (it was a few months ago). Sorry treemax guy. They did a great job of removing four very large cypress trees from our back yard. The estimator showed up on time, gave me a reasonable estimate, explained the scope of the work, and sent a written proposal. The work crew was experienced, professional, and did a great job with the removal, stump grinding and clean up work. The only reason that I can't give them five stars, is that they cancelled the original date/time, at the last minute, and rescheduled. Because of this, I had to take two days off from my job, instead of one, to accommodate them. I understand that your time is important, but so is mine. read more

From the thorough communication prior to our initial meeting all the way through the days leading up to the job, my experience with this company was nothing less than stellar. & this is something that is incredibly rare today when it comes to contractors. Not only was Max responsive, courteous and thorough during my interactions with him personally, his crew mirrored his behavior when they arrived as well. They not only showed up early, but they got to work immediately upon arrival. Most importantly, since Max wasn't on site, the team had me verify which trees needed to be removed. This is an incredibly important piece that shows an attention to their work. Tree Max failed to provide a bid after meeting on site to provide a quote. In a follow up conversation regarding the bid they said it was an oversite and they'd forward it shortly. We purchased a home several months ago whose former owner had planted four trees that would become far too large for the modest sized yard. After interviewing four tree service companies, we chose TreeMax because they were the one company that had the best understanding of the work to be performed and were most cognizant of how closely the trees were to the property fence line.
