We were due for some tree trimming. The whole job included a variety of trees, including fruit trees, bougainvillea tree, cypress trees, and evergreens. This crew of three did an amazing job. Whilst two were doing the cutting, one was clearing out all the tree cuttings. They had a good work flow. Husband actually saw their truck next to him while driving and took down their info. we scheduled an estimate on Wednesday and received the proposal the next day. Timing was good as they had a slot available the following week. With the amount of work done, the price quoted was reasonable. We were satisfied with the results. They did send out a certified arborist which was important to us as we have trees over 40 years old (with much history and sentimental value) and needed a professional tree surgeon to cut with care. Trees turned out well groomed. Backyard looks a whole lot bigger. Looking forward to a plush tree come next year. May hummingbirds build their nests in our trees once again. read more

Treesmith Enterprises illegally cut down trees at John Muir High School after the Pasadena City Council demanded they stop their work. The city issued stop-work orders halting the contractor, Anaheim-based Treesmith Enterprises, alleging the district lacked proper tree permits. Treesmith ignored these stop work orders and defied compliance with the City ordinance, continuing to fell protected oaks as well as other trees from Pasadena campuses. Despite loud protests asking them to stop, Treesmith Enterprises kept cutting down trees against the community's will. Treesmith refused to stop cutting down trees despite volunteers chaining themselves to trees to stop them. They almost dropped large branches on a volunteer tree sitter and could have killed her. I was in need of some firewood and my friend told me about this place. Luckily, it is close to my house so I went to go pick it up on my lunch break. It's very easy to grab the firewood. Just pay the man and load up your car! Remember to bring some gloves and tarp or something to cover your car with. You will definitely need it. (Splinters!!) It is a good bargain. I had the good fortune of finding Treesmith Enterprises on Yelp this morning when searching for firewood. They seem to be a very large tree service company that brings the cut-down trees back to their spacious yard for cutting splitting and drying. For small time customers like me they offer an overstuffed 32 gallon trash can full of nicely cut 16-18" pieces of mixed wood for $30. I was going to buy 3 of these when the nice young woman in the office advised that they also sell a large wooden crate of "chunk wood" for $50. The crate had the same or even a little more wood than 3 trash cans. I chose the crate of wood and the "chunks" were just fine for our camping and home use. It completely filled the back storage area of my Suburban from floor to ceiling and window to window. All the wood was completely dry and ready to use. If you need firewood look no further. These guys have mastered it. Oh, I almost forgot...They take credit cards! read more

I went along with my friend to "Treesmith" since he was told it's the best deal on firewood. As soon as you drive past their entrance gate on the right hand side along the wall is the firewood. The neatly organized stacks of wood is pricey... but the bargain is in the "Good Deal Pile". It's a mix of different woods and you get get an entire bulldozer bucket worth of it for $50 bucks but you can purchase less. My friend filled up almost 1/2 his truck bed and was only charged $16 bucks. Had my big oak tree trimmed during the summer. They did a good job with the trimming but at the expense of the existing landscape. The tree trimmers did not put a cover over the shrubs and small plants to protect them from the falling branches of the big tree. The trimmers will pull and drag the branches away and your existing plants will be pulled along, dragged and torn apart. So by the time the job is done, I have a nice trimmed tree but my existing landscape was left destroyed. When I told the manager of the office of the problem and showed her pictures of the damage, her response was .. our customers are aware that the broken plants will eventually grow back. So be aware that no consideration is given to your landscape when you hire from this company. read more

We badly needed tree trimming. Treesmith trimmed our 3 eucalyptus trees, 10 reclanata palms, and 3 xylosma trees, and removed any trunks we marked. Treesmiths did this work quickly and professionally and reasonably! They arrived on time, and cleaned up well before they left. Some in our family were doubtful they would be able to get all the work done in one day, but they finished before they even said they would! Our place looks like it got a facelift! Called Treesmith to order firewood for delivery, phone was answered by a answering service, took my number and said they open in a few minutes and will call right back. I never got a return call. I again left a message the next day on a voice message, and again, never got a return call. Called a few days later, this time someone answered, seemed to be in a rush, but she told me they were out of wood and they don't deliver anymore. WOW, since they are out of wood, they don't return phone calls! Very unprofessional, and they need to update their website that they don't deliver! A waste of my time. Over the past 12 years we have used Treesmith to prune or remove our trees four times. Competitive biding revealed they offered the best prices. Each time we were very satisfied with the courteous service, graceful results and careful workmanship. Today, as requested, they left some partial snags which I hope will attract woodpeckers for foraging and excavation. Unfortunately the overall job turned out to to be rather disappointing as once the tree was removed we requested some of the mulch to be left for the garden. We were advised this was not possible and that they would return will a small amount of mulch. The mulch they delivered was absolute rubbish full of twigs and large sticks. read more

treesmith came out with an average price extimate.removed our 60 foot ash tree but did not remove a lot of the surface roots.I called them back out and they returned without question but did not remove all the existing roots -while removing the roots they damaged the main water line .they turned off the water and did nothing else except say they where not responsible read the fine print on you contract.i had to hire a plumber and pay afterhours prices and I also had to pay another company to finish removing the remainer of the tree Roots.I would rather pay someone else then call them back to finish the job i paid for over $2,500.00 -find another company if you need a tree removed read more
