Today was a perfect day to go to this tree adventure obstacle course. Went with my husband, preteen daughter and teenage son. Some athletic ability required. Me and my daughter handles the first four courses very well. My husband and son thought 5 was a challenge but made it. The staff was very helpful throughout the course. Beautiful day to go. Temperature was 70°. Only neg: wait for the last big Triumph zip line was 10 people deep. So we skipped it. read more

This was a great time! This is a top notch professional establishment. They set the stage right off the bat when you come in and you sign-in, extremely clean, well taken care of, well maintained, even the bathroom was incredibly clean. So you get that comfort level that the course is in the same condition and it is. Several courses, each getting higher and harder. This place is awesome! We bought the groupon for 2 and went on a Friday. It was a really warm day but when you're up on the course the trees give you good shade. I recommend packing a cooler with lunch and snacks. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got evacuated because of lightning but they gave us full rainchecks after waiting for the weather to clear (they have a policy about weather you can read on their site). Took a group of my 12 year old daughters friends through the course and had a great time. Facility is very nice, it is very well run and the staff is super friendly. We did the first three courses and found it challenging, safe and lots of fun. Get the gloves (or bring your own) and the on-course water. This definitely made our list of "where to take friends when they visit Florida". Here is the basic process: 1. check in and get fitted in your harness 2. attend the safety/rules briefing 3. practice what the briefing covered on a few obstacles to demonstrate to the staff you paid attention 4. hit the course and have a blast. read more

Challenging courses for all skill levels. First 3 are quite manageable with a good jump in height and difficulty on 4/5. Self guided so you can go at your own pace - took about 3 hours having to stop at each stage due to people ahead of us. Could have completed in under 2 I think. We very much enjoyed the physical aspect of the experience at Tree Umph, but we were really turned off by an experience with an employee and to be honest, it soured our experience. My son felt personally singled out and picked on by an employee, who admonished him without cause, and then proceeded to ignore me as I tried to speak with her calmly and resolve the issue. It honestly felt like bullying -- the popular kid making fun of, then ignoring the nerd. The actual physical set up is fine, but be prepared to wait. Courses 1 - 3 are open to 'juniors' and you can be stuck in some long wait times as kids complete the course or challenges. There are guides on the ground, but none terribly accessible up in the trees, so if a family member is struggling (we had a young family ahead of us), it can become a long haul to get them through the obstacles or a group effort to get them through. Although it can be hot, to avoid crowds and lines, perhaps it's best to make your reservations for the latter part of the day. Don't be frightened by the physical aspect of the courses -- if you are in reasonable shape and make the height requirement, it's really not that much of a challenge. It is fun though! Do take the gloves option. We've done these kinds of courses before, so knew to do so, but as this gets pretty pricey for a family, we ended up giving our gloves to kids who needed more help. I do find it unfortunate that we were really put off by our experience with a singular employee. We did end up cutting our experience short as we simply didn't want to be there after the way we were treated. read more

My children, ages 7 and 9, really enjoyed TreeUmph! The youth course was great, however, we were surprised to find out that you are limited to two rounds. Definitely disappointing, especially since the course doesn't take long to complete and there were other participants/customers waiting for this course. read more

Four of us completed all 5 courses in about 3.5 hours. We are in pretty good physical condition otherwise I don't know if we could have completed course 5. We finished around noon and I would strongly suggest starting the course as early as possible to avoid the heat (we started at 8:30). We got the gloves which saved our hands (if you plan on doing all 5 courses you should get gloves) and the water pass is a must-have as well. The guides were very helpful and they explain very well before you enter the course how to use the safety equipment. I would recommend this place to anyone but I'd be fine if I didn't go back for a long time - it's very tiring to do all 5 courses! But if you're in good shape you could do it. Awesome courses. Great workout to add variety to activities. Once you get past the fear of jumping, the course is amazing. First jump is the hardest, after that it gets easier. I recommend getting gloves or bringing a pair of fingerless gloves. The metal cables take a toll on the hands by the fifth course. We had the last course of the day at 2pm. It was great. My husband and I had an awesome time! If I could give it 6 stars I would. We made it to the Summit (last level) he tried half the summit and had to quit and I took one look at all that upper body strength stuff while already tired and was like heck no! Can't do it! I hope to come back sometime and tackle it. They should have shirts made up that day "I survived TreeUMPH!" It was an awesome work out and I can't wait to go back. My husband, two sons and myself had a blast! The staff were absolutely AMAZING! My youngest is 11, so they suggested that we all just do the junior courses (1-3) and if want to do the others when we're done we could upgrade. We have done a few different adventures like this in Myrtle Beach and Pennsylvania but this was by far the best!! Water at each rest stop, staff everywhere to help if needed and the overall courses were challenging, but doable - especially for someone (like me) that doesn't workout regularly and near 50! My boys are active and had as much fun as my husband and I! Highly recommend. We did the 3 courses and zipline in about 2 hours. read more

I just spent the most fun day at TreeUmph. My party needed two adult passes, one junior, and one kids' pass, and all were appropriate and challenging. I am really motivated to write this review because of the great staff. They were beyond accommodating, especially with my eight year old boy, and fun to be around. Great place!! I went there with my boyfriend and his mom and was very afraid at first because I am terrified of heights. However, the staff was so friendly and reassuring that by the time I was hooked up to my first level I was having a blast! The staff was extremely friendly without seeming like they were trying too hard and they let you go at your own pace and weren't pushy at all. The oldest person to finish all levels was 90 so you can do it too! I had a blast and it was well worth it! Amazing experience that you can't find anywhere else. They have a whole section of the park for kids too. read more

Was a fun place just be aware that kids on the big course wear out fast... take water breaks between courses. If your child doesn't make it on a course and has to get help because they over heat you and your child are done for the day. So rest and get your moneys worth! read more

I have been to TreeUmph! twice now and loved it. First trip was my boyfriend and I - I bought him tickets for Valentine's Day. What a great gift! We had a such a great time we recently went back with a group of friends and had a blast. I thought because I was afraid of heights I wouldn't like it - but I was wrong. We visited TreeUmph today for my daughter's 10th birthday. Our family has completed tree adventure courses many times at another place (not in Florida) with both of our kids successfully clipping on and doing adult level courses with challenging features and ziplines. Unfortunately, our birthday girl was about 1 cm too short to meet TreeUmph's height requirement, so they offered our whole family the option to downgrade to the young kids course. While I appreciate they allowed us to downgrade our tickets and refunded $100+ to our credit card since we couldn't do the adult course after all, the kids course was not a challenge for any of us. Our younger daughter (8) didn't even care to do a 3rd run on it. Our birthday girl did her 3 runs on the course in less than 20 minutes and we left to find another activity to make up for this disappointment. Given our experience on advanced courses that require everyone to clip on and off repeatedly, I don't quite understand why the height requirement is so high here, particularly when an adult is doing the course with their child. Just know they are firm about it. I also did not understand why they restrict kids to 3 runs on the kids course. At other adventure courses we have visited, you purchase a time based pass and can do unlimited runs during your ticket window. read more

Spent the afternoon at TreeUmph. My 13 year old had a great time. He made it through 2 full courses and could of continued on but it was much too hot. I recommend going early in the morning and getting the unlimited water pass. We will definitely come back next year. read more

We have been here twice now and had a great time both times! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The courses are well constructed, exciting and safety is top notch. The first time we went it was with a birthday party and it took the kids around 5 hours to complete 3 courses. The second time my husband and 11yo went by themselves and it took them just over an hour to complete the same 3 courses. They tried to go through the courses again - one guide said it was ok, another told them they couldn't go. My son tried to do the little kid course, but was told he was too big for it. We got tickets on a BOGO offer so we only paid $60 for the two, but they were originally valued at over $100 which feels steep to me for just over an hour of climbing. I wish the tickets would admit you for the day and not per round, considering everyone has various levels of agility. The other thing is that we were told that there was no where to refill our water bottles and that we would have to pay for their water. So be prepared to spend an additional $4/person for water when you go. Overall a great experience though. read more

What an awesome visit! The Guides (staff) here are very supportive and informational. They give you a lot of freedom to do the course at your own pace and they do not hover over you. If you show proficiency during the training course, you'll be good to go on your own, but guides are always within calling distance away if you need help. The course is larger than I expected, and it took about 2.5 hours to complete all 5 courses + Final Zipline. Highly recommend the add-on water package. My group didn't do it, and by the 4th course we really wish we had. read more

This is not a place to go to and spend you money and not really challenge yourself to complete the courses. I brought my eight year old here. The price was 25 dollars, which i thought was reasonable. However, the ticket was only for two go rounds, and it was for the kids course. My child mastered the course on the first go round, but the made the second turn fun by challenging her to walk fast, or close her eyes, or lean back in her harness and let go of any ropes. Our ropes course guide was Andy, who was an absolute delight and very good with the children. Definitely try this place, especially if you have older kids, as the adult course looked really challenging and fun. read more

Great workout. Bring full finger gloves!! Bought a pair there, but they cut the fingertips out. Lost all of my fingertips to painful rope burn. Took 4 months to heal, still have no feeling in some. It really was fun up till I injured myself. Will try again but bringing my own gloves. Lesson learned. read more

Wow, if you are looking for something totally different to do, THIS IS IT! It was not what we expected at all. Heads up - take the gloves for $3 you will need them. Staff was great and explain everything to you. They are also with you as you are doing the different courses so you are never alone. So long and short of it is, you need great balance and a bit of strength. There are five courses and each one goes a bit higher and more difficult. First two not bad, third one starts to kick you but .. and that is where stopped on our first try. Be warned that it is not a great thing to do in the dead of summer and heat will become a factor. (lots of water) Would recommend to try at least once. Was fun and I will go back again to try the last two courses. PS. Course five, 60 feet in the air and lots of balancing on wires. read more

This was our first time at TreeUmph! My husband and I took our teenage son and two of his friends, and everyone had an awesome time! The boys did great through all of the obstacles and zip lines. The guides are super friendly and helpful, and when one of our group didn't want to finish out course number 4, he made him comfortable with his decision and with the decent back to the ground. On top of everything, it was a great workout...my abs have never been so sore. I would recommend this to anyone, but completely agree with their 5'11" reach rule, you couldn't do most of the courses if you can't reach that high. read more

Bad business practices in my honest opinion. We booked the night before and unfortunately two out of four of us couldn't go because something came up due to daylight savings time. So I called in the morning to attempt to cancel the reservation and receive a refund but was informed by the lady on the phone that they will not do refunds within 48 hours of the day you're expected to climb. They do however accept reservations with in 48 hours but no cancellations.. Her argument with me was that when we book the appointment we checked the box that stated no refunds however there was only one person making the reservations for the entire group.... So that means the majority was unaware of these terms. I will dispute the charge with my bank and receive my funds back without a problem, but I most certainly will never attend this adventure park nor will I recommend to anyone. It's Florida... there PLENTY to do and other rope courses right around the corner. TreeHoper is a good start. read more
