Take 5 Oil Change #771 - Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more On 3/7/24, I visited Take 5 Oil Change #771 at 100 Nannie Ln, Palestine, TX for a routine oil change. While there, the team suggested a radiator flush at half off their normal price. Trusting their recommendation, I agreed. Unfortunately, that decision ended up costing me much more. After the radiator flush, my truck's coolant sensor was damaged due to improper draining and underfilling of the coolant. This led to an air pocket in the system, which caused my truck to overheat and left me stranded. I had to have it towed to the GMC dealership for repairs. Despite a full diagnostic report clearly stating the overheating was a direct result of Take 5's service, I spent over a month going back and forth with the local facility, corporate customer service in North Carolina, and their claims handler, Fleet Services. In the end, they denied any responsibility. While the staff at the Palestine location have always been friendly--and I've gone there for years for oil changes--it's clear now that they are woefully undertrained when it comes to anything beyond basic service. Even worse, the company as a whole refuses to stand behind their work or take accountability when mistakes are made. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend Take 5 Oil Change to anyone--no matter how convenient they may seem. A friendly smile doesn't make up for poor workmanship and a complete lack of responsibility.

every since i moved to palestine a couple of years ago i have used take 5 in palestine tx next to…read morestarbucks..i have 4 vehichles so i go there quiet often..never a problem until last week..pulled up to an empty bay..there was 1 car in the other bay an that was it..seen several employees standing around..one employee came out and told me to move out of the empty lane and pull in behind the car that was there already inside..wasnt quiet sure they didnt motion me to come into the empty bay ...i moved my car overin behind the other car an began to sit there..after awhile i got tired of waiting and backed out..the employees seen me backing out and got excited that i was leaving..it only takes 1 time to leave a bad taste in your mouth..

It does look like Take 5 did not reset my indicator Maintenance light. It was reset today for free. While this is good news, it took about 45 minutes out of my day to find this out. My life is extremely hectic so keeping up with when I need an oil change (right now) isn't on my radar. I've moved, had health issues, dealt with contractors and am putting a house on the market. I'm still not happy I couldn't get this information from Take 5.

I'm a conservative driver and maintained air pressure. John gave me a very fair adjustment on a new set of tires. as for oil changes, Walmart has done a great job with each of my older cars. I usually ask them what day and time is best to have work done. they seem to appreciate it and I get faster service. win-win!

This place couldn't help but charged me the 150 bucks for labor stating they had to rip open the side panels. So I borrow a friends hubby to help and apparently they pulled the track out of one side and zip tied the other... then charged me. So I paid 150 bucks for them to gut my car and not fix anything.
