Service department related. I put my car in at 9AM on a friday. I stated there was a screeching in the back left wheel. Possible brake pad or wheel bearing issue. I also stated I had an Cool AC line issue. Possible blown hose. At 3PM Friday, they called me to ask permission to remove the bumper so they could have access to the AC condenser. I say yes. I ask if they've looked at the back wheel. They say no, BUT the technician is quoting me for new pads and rotors in both front wheels. On Saturday, I call the front desk for an update on my service and get told they'll leave a message for the service department who will get ahold of me as there is one manager in that day (the same manager handling my service.) They do not call me Saturday. Closed Sunday. On Monday, I call again to inquire as to the status of my vehicle and when I may reasonably be able to pick up my car. Once again I am told that they'll leave a message. Later I am called by the service manage. I am told that the technician is "looking into your condenser right now". I ask if they've look at my left rear wheel and they tell me that "...the technician didn't hear any noise so we haven't looked into it...". I continue the conversation, eventually coming to an agreement that I'll just be coming and getting my car that day as I will be required to drive the next day. I declined additional repairs and parts quotes. All in all, I'm $612 out on labor alone having a company tell me "well I didn't hear anything" and only messing with my AC despite the chance that my car may be unsafe on the road. I will never be returning to this place and the only way I would be satisfied is if all my fees were waived. read more

This place saved my life. My a car broke down outside city limits, on a Saturday while driving to Dallas. I didn't know the area that well. Toyota Palestine was open for a few more minutes so they let me stop by to check codes on my car. Afterwards, they got me with an oil change and allowed me to keep some pets I was traveling with in their office while they worked on my car. They explained the issue and were very friendly in the process even though it was end of day. They really went out of their way to help me considering I didn't have a Toyota and they were about to close for the weekend! Would high recommend, amazing customer service. read more

A very welcomed change to the dealerships in this area. The facility is clean and they seem to be putting together a great team. The facilities are up to date and I'm very impressed with their inventory selection. I came here to get my Avalon serviced and they were very helpful and the prices for service are very fair, it was $24.95 for my 3 month oil change (using their online coupon). My car was in and out in about a half hour and there was a very nice waiting area, where I was able to charge my phone, get a free snack, and just relax. I have owned my own store and have been involved in the auto industry for over 15 years and I can say that I have great confidence in this dealership's future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a car. read more

My 2011 Tacoma has not had any wrench put on it except Toyota. I didn't buy it here but they seemed to be nice and efficient at first. I've had oil changes front wheel bearings tire rotation and general maintenance done here since 2015. I only have 56,000 miles on it so I don't drive it much. I had my battery replaced at Palestine Toyota in 2016. Today it went out again only I changed it myself. When I opened the hood to see what tools I would need I noticed the battery hold down was loose. To my surprise it wasn't even bolted down. It had been set on battery to look bolted down. When I installed my new battery, the hold down wasn't even the correct one. Mine had been removed and replaced with a fake. I have trusted Toyota in Palestine for years and this was the thanks for doing business? My last oil change took almost 4 hours. Now I know why. I wondered why my tripometer had both been erased and my dash camera unplugged. It was obviously driven somewhere without my knowledge. My new tundra will probably come from someplace else now. All trust is gone from here. Am I angry? You bet. read more

Very disappointing experience with the guy working in service, Rick. He was condescending and rude. I made the appointment for an oil change AND to get my windshield wiper fluid looked at (the fluid doesn't shoot out). He tells me he doesn't know how long that will take and that I'll have to come back tomorrow. THAT was the main reason I went to Palestine. I can get my oil changed anywhere. He treated me like I was an idiot for asking him to go ahead and just look at the problem with the fluid. He said he had no way of knowing how long it would take to JUST LOOK. He also said it would be around $100 just for them to check the problem. No way. I decided to take my business elsewhere and will never be returning to this Toyota site. However, the man that was going to change my oil was very kind. He popped my bumper back into place in the 2 minutes that he had my car and I didn't even ask him to do that. I wish I had caught his name. He is a good employee, looking out for the good of his customers. Thank you! read more

I've had my JEEP since September, this is the 3rd time I've had to take in to be serviced because it was Messing up. They've had my JEEP since the end of April. At first they told me auxiliary battery, then it was a fuse relay and now when they installed the relay it fried my hvac module. I've called numerous times for an update and no one returned my calls. I went up there and the service guy handling my vehicle was gone to lunch, was told they'd have him call me as soon as he got back. He never called. Asked to speak with manager , same thing took my number and never returned my call. This went on for several days with me calling and not getting anyone. Finally I reached the one over my veh and he stated that the part was on back order and it would be the end of May before it came in. Here it is the end of May and still no vehicle. Very displeased and will never buy another vehicle from this dealership again. Hands down worst experience ever read more

If your a first time buyer don't go here! These people advertise cars they do not have in stock. They tell you they have a car about the same price and when you sit down to discuss it, it's only to find the car is listed over $4000 more than the original car. It's all one big gimmick. They make a lot of promises they can't keep, like "I will return your phone call." Curtosey is not their first name. This was my son's first car to purchase without cash in hand, and the treatment was deplorable. Just save yourself the Hassel and go somewhere else. If I could give 1\2 a star I would. read more

Terrible sales manager, I called in 1 day before I made the 3 hour trek to this trash heap to schedule a test drive. When I got there the car barely started, the car was disgusting and wasn't even cleaned inside and out. I was okay with this for the most part but still had me questionable. If someone Schedules a test drive 1 day in advanced clean the car before the appointed time. Edgar our test drive guy was awesome, very cool and personable. Then the asshole behind the counter (really wished I remembered his name, skinny guy with a skullet) was ready to talk price. I asked Edgar if we could have the car quickly cleaned so I could see any scratches in the paint, and he said of course. I get back in and the sales manager sighs aloud like he actually is troubled with doing his job. My wife heard him utter the "F" word. Then after 15 minutes he comes back with the paperwork 3,000$ more then they advertised. DONT GET FOOLED BY THEIR PRICING ON THEIR SITE!! It says McLaughlin price and ttl equals the price they have listed. Don't make the same mistake!! After I said this is the price it said on autotrader and I would pay that price, also noting this dealership has been sitting on this car (from what I noticed on autotrader for 1 month) he retorted in his normal smart ass attitude, " I have been sitting on this longer then 1 month, great job with your research" I laughed because I took it as a compliment. He said he would talk to the gm, walked back behind the glass, didn't pick up the phone, came back 1 minute later and said no thanks. I shook his hand and said good luck and drove 3 hours home. Gm of McClarty Toyota please demote this guy who thinks he's entitled and is the best part of your business. Edgar is the guy in this situation that you need to notice and promote. I left Palestine Toyota very frustrated. I explained to 2 different people what I wanted and did not want and both kept trying to push vehicles on me I did not want. Then they kept trying to talk me into adding my husband to the deal, and put an additional 900 down when I told them what I had for down payment. In fairness Hollis did text me the following day to try to work with me, however I went to Toyota of Tyler and purchased a vehicle I truly wanted, hassle free, and within my price range. I would recommend Toyota of Tyler to anyone over Toyota of Palestine. read more

This review is about the parts department. Don't expect the dealership to have your part at this time, they are building up inventory. Parts are available but very limited. I enjoy doing my own maintenance but prefer to use Oem parts. The dealership had the oil filter and o-ring for oil change but the other filters and other orings they would have to order. If you take your Toyota truck in for regular service say the 30k, 60k or 90k mile service they will use old orings for front and rear differentials and transmission service. Even though Toyota specs say to change them. Check your service receipt I am sure they are charging for the parts even though they are not using new parts. What else are they charging for and not doing. Still disappointed with this dealership. read more

Worst experience ever. They told me I was approved for Financing and let me drive off the lot with my new truck. Three days later they called back asking for a co-signer saying, "I didnt make enough". They told me that they wouldn't take my commission checks as the larger part of my income. That made no sense to me, but they told me they could put me in a car, just not the truck. Apparently they did a process called "Spot Financing" were they assume that everything would check out. They will let you leave the lot in your new vehicle, and then try to get a approval later. When this falls through they will call and say you need a co-signer or you will have to bring the vehicle back to the dealership.Its something to leery about when going late at night or weekends cause most banks are closed.I was lucky enough to get my old car back, but they had already destroyed my plates. Its been two months now and still no plates. I had to call this morning because the temporary plates are about to expire. Of course no one knew about it and now I'm waiting on a called back. I would note that Curtis was the original salesperson I spoke to who was excellent. It was the manager who kept going back to finance office is when thing started to get sketchy for me. I should have follow my gut,( which Curtis was very understanding) about and left. However the pushy persistent manager kept coming back trying to make a deal that he obviously could not honor. read more
