Had the misfortune of a small liquid spill damaging my 3 year old iPad. (note: NEVER put your travel coffee mug in the same bag as your electronic device). The screen was fine, but the battery wouldn't charge. Mario checked everything out and replaced the charging port. Quick turn-around time and good communication. These guys are knowledgeable, honest and efficient. I've used them several times for repairs to both an iPhone and a Dell laptop. They saved me a ton of money with their diagnostics. I was ready to cave and buy a new laptop. They discovered and fixed the problem at a reasonable price. I've found that it's worth it to pay their diagnostic fee ($69) to figure out what's wrong. The battery died on my cell phone. Another company said they couldnt find a replacement and I would have to buy a new phone. Yucatech found where it could be ordered in China but it would take a month or more to get it. So I suggested that I buy the identical phone on eBay and they could take the battery from it and put in the old phone so I wouldn't lose all my data. I bought the new phone and brought it to them. They switched not only the battery but also the screen since the old one had a crack. I'm very happy that I don't lose my data this way, and don't have to learn to use a new phone. read more

Absolutely The Best!! Had an HP laptop with a blank display screen. Self diagnosis and fix only intermittently fixed this. Was told by several computer repair shops "We don't do laptops" or "We don't repair screens" or "Check with HP". Alex said he would check it out, found the problem, and FIXED IT by re-wiring the connector from the screen to the graphics card, then bench tested it for 24 hours to make sure it was permanently fixed. Amazing! Saved me having to replace the laptop, or hassle with a return and possible loss of my installed system. From now on, these guys will be my first call! read more

I worked with Mario to recover my old I7 phone that was unfortunately water damaged at a get together Last weejend. The Phone was unrecoverable n they could not get all data because it was not backed up in " the cloud! purchased a new Apple 13 plus and my pic's were transferred over to my new phone via existing data storage but when I received my phone back " all new apps , gmail, texts were not uploaded properly. Mario stated he would have to download the pic's n reupload the pic's separately but found out that he could " combine n upload both. this guy is suppose to be an expert so the question I pose is " why did he not know to do this to begin with " in other words just perform the task the customer requests and present the phone back in the same condition as how it was given to them?. I thought I'd order a replacement off that Jungle retailer everyone uses and do it myself, but once I popped it open, I realized I would probably do more harm than good. So I called around everywhere and this was the only place that said "bring it on in and let's take a look!" So I did, and they said "We'll give it a shot. Come back tomorrow." I went into Yucatech because my phone stopped working after two weeks of use. They looked at it and advised me of my options: 1. Since I only had it two weeks, they were positive I could return it to the manufacturer for a free replacement since it had no signs of damage. 2. They could fix it in house, but there was a risk of them damaging the case as the case was made of glass, which would make the entire procedure more expensive. The fact that they lead with the free option made me decide this would be my go-to repair shop. I ended up using the warranty to get a replacement for free, this time. But I'll always go to Yucatech for help because they proved they care about providing the best service at the best price. They were friendly, polite, attentive, and communicative. There folks know their stuff. My Samsung tablet would not turn on although I had charged it twice. Screen would flash then quit. I was asked to wait outside while they checked it. Ten minutes later I was told it just needed a charge. (My cable was toast) Absolutely no charge for evaluation and I will be back. They were busy and I can see why. This is a little bit of an odd five star review, but I think it is deserved. I brought my wife's iPhone Xs here for a repair of the back glass, which had broken when she dropped it. They quoted me a very reasonable price and had availability within a couple of days. When we got the phone back, it *looked* great. But when I took it home, my wife immediately noticed the volume buttons were not working and the FaceID camera wouldn't focus anymore (so FaceID would not work). Yucatech took it back and ran some diagnostics. They could not explain what had happened or why. Abraham (the owner) took it to the apple store himself, and they could not answer it either, so we'll never know. BUT, and here's the 5-star part, Abraham replaced the phone with another Xs (used but in excellent condition, same as my wife's had been). And only charged us for the original cost of the repair, so basically putting us back in the position we would have been in if the repair had succeeded. I'm sure he ended up losing money on the whole deal, but he didn't hesitate to do what was right and stand behind his shop's work. He even called again a month later to make sure the new phone was working out Ok (it was). Really nice to deal with someone honest and ethical. read more

I remember going to his first shop in San Rafael, where he and his team would repair any technological issues I had with ny device.
