Huge fan of Trek bicycles! I've bought a bike from them before for my partner and it has done well (we've had it about 5 years now). I came in recently because I am looking to buy a new road bike. This will be my first road bike (and I am using for a triathlon) so I was asking a lot of questions (thanks Lars!). Lars, who also does Ironmans, was very helpful in helping me understand the best bike for my needs, what type of adds I would need, and also made me aware of needing to buy pedals and shoes when I buy the bike. Who knew! While I didn't buy a bike that day, I learned a lot and am still on the hunt. They also have a bike repair shop where you can take your bike in to be serviced. This was my first experience with Trek Bicvycle Raleigh Holly Park, and I will NEVER take my bike anywhere else to have it worked on. My front derailleur broke, and I also needed an indepth tune-up. I was greeted by service manager Joel when I walked in, and he is absolutely the best! I can't brag about him enough. Friendly, engaging, proactive, and most of all, an expert mechanic in his own right who seeks to provide exceptional service to Trek's cudomers. Joel and his expert service team installed a new derailleur on my bike, and gave it an incredible tune-up. I visited back in October/November of 2020. My initial visit during that time seemed promising, until I was essentially scoffed at by one of the reps when informing her of my recent purchase of a road bike for $350. She retorted "I'm not sure of what you expect to get here for that price." This visit was a discovery phase for me as I was newly interested in biking. She was able to fit me and then sell me about $400 dollars of accessories which I knew I didn't need. I was able to return those items a few weeks later and met a gentleman working that day who was awesome. He listened to me intently and educated me on biking in general. He also provided me with what I considered to be a prescriptive set of alternatives based on my use case. He made me feel that he wasn't trying to sell me a product but rather help me buy instead. This shop has been a lifesaver for me. They have helped through both a frame and dropper post warranty replacement. They planned and executed the service flawlessly each time. The shop owner really knows how to hire quality people. Joel & Cole have always been the model of professionalism while still being very friendly. I really like Trek Bicycle. I am not able to ride a traditional bicycle anymore so they took the time out to find a bike I can ride. I found a 3 wheel bike that every time I ride it I am stopped and asked about it. Apparently, I am not the only one who can't ride a regular bike anymore. I told them about my foot sliding off when it gets tired and they put something on the bike to help me with that. The store is nice and clean with the coolest looking bikes. NOW for the true cyclist maybe willing to spend 9k for a bike but now me!! If you give them your price wrangle they will want show something in the wrangle. They can be expensive but just make sure you communicate with them. Will definitely be coming back! read more

On November 5, I purchased a new 2021 Domane it had to be shipped, i was told the delay to receive my bike was the bottom bracket over tightened and they had to order a tool to chase the threads, finally on the day before thanksgiving i was able to pick up my new bike. Dave the sales manager was awesome in setting up bike with the measurements he took from my previous Emonda. Here is where things begin to fall apart, I took my first ride Thanksgiving day, had issues with shifting ok no big deal, but there was annoying creaking noise coming from headset isospeed coupler. On Tuesday December 1st I took my bike into the shop, the shifting was fixed in minutes, but I had to leave my bike for the creaking sound, I left expecting to receive my bike by Friday. The service manager seemed surprised with my issue, but trek has a service bulletin, this is a known issue, no surprise. I was told that the store manager and mechanic rode my bike to confirm the noise. Ok on Friday no progress on my bike, I was told by service manger he had a brand new employee coming to work on Monday and he would look at it. I thought about it and I was like a new employee what's going on here? I called back talked to store manager and service manager and was then told oh we will have our go to mechanic Greg work on it Monday December 7th, today is December 13 I have no bike to ride and no idea when I will get it back or if it will even be repaired. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences that I have had. I feel that once they got my money I am no longer important there has been zero lack of urgency to repair my bike. There are many other brands and shops in the area based on customer service and what seems to be quality control issues I say avoid Trek Holly Park. read more

Best bike shop in town, period. At the end of the summer I worked on a project of mine to build a "beach wagon" that was a Cargo carrier at the same time. I needed the last element and with the help of Matt I got the Burley Tow bar, he ordered and it was in their store in just a few days. I will return for any additional bike related item in the future. They want to stay in business and it shows! read more

I've been very happy with my previous Trek bike and look forward to my new one. But your shop employees set it apart from the others. All are helpful, knowledgeable, not pushy on the sales, just excited about what they sell. That's contagious. I've had my new Domane for a few months now. Long enough to know that I'm thrilled with both the bike and the shop. When you buy a bike, you're also buying into the store for on-going support and service. I have to say, these guys have set the bar high for anyone else. I don't think I've seen anyone bend over backwards to make the customer happy, to resolve even the smallest rattle, or answer the dumbest questions. What can I say...this place is awesome. I went in to have some modifications done to the handlebars (convert road handlebars to bullhorn style) on my vintage Bianchi road bike around noon on a Monday. The mechanic had it ready in an hour. I'm more than satisfied with the work. Holy smokes is my bike sweet now. I also needed new foot pedals. No problem. They also gave it a nice clean. I will take pics later and submit them. I will also say that I went in there with an idea of the work I wanted done. They were excited to help and work out a solution. Great place! read more

Highly recommend! I went to have my older Cannondale bike fitted. I'm riding 300 miles this month for #GCCUSA which is a lofty goal for me, and I was hoping this fitting would make those rides less painful. I was so right! Not once was I looked down upon for not having a Trek bike or felt pressured to buy a new one. Super friendly and helpful staff. Dave is wonderful! He took his time in figuring out everything that was causing me problems! Karen gave great advice on apparel, too! Definitely worth the drive! I will be going back for sure! read more

I can't even begin to describe how amazing the staff is at Trek. I went there at first because of a groupon I purchased for a tune up. I took my Trek 4900 in for the groupon and they had it back to me the next day. I was going to just use this store solely for my Trek bike, but the time came to get my Motobecane road bike tuned up and I knew exactly where to go. They tuned my road bike and adjusted a few things in just 30 minutes because I had a race that day. Since then I have taken a third bike of mine in for assembly and tuning. Don't shy away if you don't own a Trek. The mechanics here are top notch and will take care of you. They may have a corporate Trek logo on the front of the building, but you will be treated better than most Local bike shops when you go to Trek. Great people, great service. read more

I have a Peloton indoor bike, and needed new shoes. The shoes I got with the bike were too small and made my feet hurt. Decided to head over to the Trek store based on the great reviews I saw online. I don't know a whole lot about cycling shoes, but Matt was very friendly and super helpful. I told him what I needed them for. He selected different shoes in my size and let me take my time trying them on. I never felt rushed, and was never pressured into buying a specific shoe. I picked the pair that felt best on my feet. I'm not knowledgeable on how to position cleats, and Matt moved them over for me from the old shoes. I had put the cleats on the old shoes, and Matt told me that if I had kept going with them in the position I had them in, I could have injured my Achilles' tendon - so not only did he help me get new shoes, he also helped me avoid a possible injury! Will definitely be back for any future biking needs! read more

Took my bike in for a tune-up and they got my 20-year-old Trek looking and riding as good as new. They promised my bike would be ready in 3-4 days, but it was actually ready in 24 hours! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They work on non-Trek bikes there as well so check them out. read more
