Last minute request for their service and they accommodated us, for which we were so grateful. We needed a large cleaning before putting our place on the market. It was $70/hour for 2 maids. The place looked amazing afterwards - it was literally shining! I hadn't seen our stove look that clean since we moved in! Wonderful! And you can use Paypal to pay online. I had also never used a cleaning service before, but all of my e-mail and phone correspondence with Victoria was great - she was responsive and clear, which made everything that much easier. read more

I appreciate that Victoria wrote a response, but I wanted to clarify my points as it seems that I wasn't clear. To sum up, the cleaning was decent, but the overall experience was disappointing and I will not use Tremendous Maid again. 1. I now realize I had a problem driver, but she did not communicate why TM doesn't use booties. Instead, she said "Nope, they wear shoes. Sometimes clients provide booties." 2. My concern was not that the cleaners were worried about the time limit. My concern was that they had not yet seen the whole condo! They made the comment from the living room, so could only see part of the kitchen, and asked where the bathroom was afterwards. They could not have known the cleanliness level of either kitchen or bathroom before making their time estimate. 3. It would have been nice to have been advised the situations where harsher chemicals are needed, and generally what to have expected. 4. Again, it was disappointing that the cleaners did not focus on the high priority areas because there was already a concern around the time limit. 5. The driver left before I had fully communicated my needs. She expressed she would be "right outside." I realize I had a bad driver, but I'm just explaining why I had a bad experience and why I should have expected a better experience. 6. Again, a bad driver. I did not previously note that she used foul language in front of my child. 7. I was disappointed to only get a call at the end of service. I called within the first half hour of my service, but basically had no opportunity to correct the cleaners. 8. I think there must have been a miscommunication on the call with Victoria at the end of service. I expressed that the cleaning was good enough but that I was concerned that the driver had quit. It is likely that I did not express at the time that I had a bad experience, but note that I was talking on one of the cleaners' phones with them looking right at me... plus I had already called to complain. I'm fairly certain it would have been a stretch, however, to interpret my response as being happy with the experience, as I certainly was not! Clearly, my experience was the exception rather than the rule, but it is an important exception. TM did personally contact me and let me know that they are discussing options to prevent future clients from having similar experiences, but it is too late for me. read more

I bought a CoupMe for a house cleaning from Tremendous Maid and was blown by how professional these ladies were! I've used other cleaning services but my experience with Tremendous Maid was better because: 1) They were able to schedule me within about a week instead of the usual 2-4 weeks with other companies. 2) They were very thorough. This was not just a surface cleaning, they did the windows, the floors, the bathroom, the kitchen, everything was spotless. (And they brought their own paper towels instead of using up several rolls of mine.) 3) They went above and beyond, leaving chocolates and business cards in my kitchen and folding the toilet paper roll, like they do in fancy hotels. I thought it was odd that such a great service had no reviews but then I realized that four of its 5-star reviews had been filtered. Totally understand why the Yelpbots would think these are spam, but I suspect these reviews are legit. read more

It all started here on yelp. I was and still am looking for a housekeeper .I contacted the service and they responded very quickly. I mentioned that I read so many great reviews on yelp and was excited to have them clean for me ( I have two Pomeranians and a cat). Someone came by the next day or so and we walked through the house and I was given the opportunity to let them know what I expected of them and if I had special instructions. I was told a contract would be emailed to me later and that the 1st cleaning would be more because it was a deep cleaning,assuming I haven't cleaned as well as they would ( even though the lady that came by did remark on how clean the kitchen was and I cook every night). I was also told the crew that was coming over was highly trained before they we allowed to clean homes. Needless to say I was very excited to have them even though it was going to cost me 115$ every time I had them in to clean, it seemed like it was going to be worth it. They started on the following Thursday! That afternoon my dog walker called me at work and asked me to call him back. I was nervous ! When I called he let me know that when he came by to walk the pups that the back door was left open and he didn't see the cat ( adopted, declawed, indoor cat) any where. Thank god that the puppy was in a crate and my older dog is smart enough to hang out and watch them. Well he tried to inform them that there is a problem with the door being left open but they didn't understand him, he even showed them pictures. Also the note I left them went unread and I did mention the cat and dogs name etc Well he left and everything seemed good enough. I was so glad he called me but everything was fine. When we got home that night I was so excited to see the house super clean. Well that were it all started, the house didn't even smell clean. We started to look around and it seemed like someone had just called and said they would be over and I had 15 min to clean. You could tell that they had been there but super clean it was not. I won't go into how bad it was and the condo is a new renovation so it looks good already and easy to clean. My adopted, declawed, indoor cat was no where to be found, we looked everywhere , around midnight we found him outside......... Dammit Also there was stainless steal polish all over the floor and in the pets water dish, are you kidding me ?!?!?! I let them know the next day and they let me know they were there for 21/2 hours and at 70$ an hour and assured me that they did not let out our cat it must have been our dog walker ( the one that has never let our cat out and has won best of Boston this year) They were very nice about it and kept denying it was them, it had to be the gentleman that did it . They didn't charge me and my keys were returned to me via mail. I feel like there was no common sense here and the training they mentioned is not true ( at least not the team at my place). I would think twice about them and I wonder who cleaned the houses of the other yelpers , it wasn't tremendous maids ! read more

So far my experience with Tremendous Maid, especially with Victoria, has been great. They were able to schedule a cleaning just a day or two in advance, and they showed up right on time within the window they gave me. All they require is a kitchen sponge and a toilet brush for each toilet, and they provide everything else. The cleaning was extremely thorough. All the furniture was moved to clean the floors under-- everything was left a bit askew, but I'd rather push it back and know that they definitely cleaned under it! Victoria communicated to me later that afternoon about issues (asking if it was ok to use bleach in the master bathroom where we tend to get mold problems, noting that they couldn't get out all the oxidation on the stainless steel appliances, etc) and she is EXTREMELY responsive to emails-- all the way until 7:30pm from her blackberry! She was also part of the team that came to clean, so she was familiar with everything in my house and evaluated for a quote for regular cleanings, which was great. Things on counters / in the shower weren't put back in the places they were (especially in bathrooms) but I didn't mind it that much. I can tell you that they definitely don't leave any clutter around like other reviewers mentioned-- they actually threw out a few things I didn't want them to! (Like empty tissue boxes I use for small garbage cans.) There were a few items that were broken, but when I brought them to Victoria's attention she immediately addressed the issue and offered to reimburse me for them by either purchasing replacements for us or deducting the costs from our next cleaning. Luckily for us they were very replaceable things (a rickety coat rack, light bulbs from our window candles). They did do our dishes which is supposed to be an extra charge, and they changed the linens on one bed which is included, but they also made up the other bed (even put in a clean flat sheet I had laying around) for no extra charge. They also took out the garbage and asked about cardboard boxes we had lying around-- they left them since it was raining outside. I am going forward with a regular monthly cleaning of just common areas (everything but the bedrooms or study, so this includes bathrooms and kitchen) which is very reasonably priced. They also have an agreement to sign on EchoSign, which is EXTREMELY thorough and VERY professional. I also gave them a key which they keep in a safe in their office and will be checked out by teams when they are assigned to our house in the future. I would definitely recommend Tremendous Maid to anyone. In fact, we are thinking of hiring them to clean a condo we own before new tenants move in! read more

I should start by saying that I have never used a home cleaning service before, so I did not know what to expect. But I do like the service that TM provided. So far TM has come for the first cleaning and I have scheduled them to come back once per month. Things I liked: 1. The contact person Victoria is very friendly and responsive to emails/ text messages 2. The team arrived exactly on time 3. Cleaning service was thorough: clean floors, clean bathroom, shining faucets and clean shelves 4. They made up the bed nicely and even arranged the stuffed animals on the bed 5. They moved the bed / soft to give a good cleaning of the floor 6. Sofa was well cleaned 7. We have a white rug which has become quite dirty over the past a few years and they did a good job cleaning that. 8. Victoria sent me a very clear, lucid and professional agreement containing cleaning specifications, price and insurance policies. A few minor points that could be improved: 1. There were a few spots on the wall in the kitchen that was not completed removed, which is not a big deal, but it caught my attention. 2. The shower liner was not cleaned. However, Victoria promised to clean the liner from now on. All in all, it is a nice and professional cleaning service. read more

I love Tremendous Maid, and have referred several friends to them. They are reliable, easy to work with, and do a fantastic job cleaning my 3 bedroom Cape. I have used them for over a year, and their quality has been consistently high. The owners are very easy to deal with, and make the experience very simple. I have had bad experiences in the past with other house cleaners (broken stuff, not cleaning the entire house well, etc.) but have not had the experience with Tremendous Maids. read more

I hired a cleaning service on Groupon, but they didn't do as good of a job as I was expecting. My house hasn't been truly scrubbed down for a year and I really needed my baseboards, trim, windows, etc. washed before house guests came on Tuesday. On Sunday night, I got overwhelmed with getting my house ready for house guests and sent a few emails to services with high Yelp reviews to see if they could come in last minuet. They sent me an email back within 30 minuets with their hourly prices and ended up coming the next day at 11am. They did everything on my list and according to my mom, 'were lovely.' I never previously cared about 'speaking English,' but it was really nice to be able to easily communicate what I needed to be done, specifically with the main office. They did miss one or two spots, but I am extreme when I want my house to be spotless. They got done in 3 hours what would have taken me 15. read more

I'll preface this by saying that I've never hired a cleaning service before, and also by saying that I myself am a terrible housekeeper, so I may be more easily impressed than others. That being said, I was overwhelmed with the job that they did in my house. Being a terrible housekeeper, there were parts of my house I am quite positive had not been cleaned in the 1.5 years we've lived here. But they're clean now! They cleaned everything, even the things that are really hard to get to. They moved all of the parts of our sectional and cleaned under them, even though our living room is so small that you can barely move any of the sectional pieces. They even managed to get the cat hair off the upholstery (I have no idea how, I struggle with that all the time). They also cleaned things I would have never imagined they would clean, including the oven racks and the drip tray for the waffle iron. I will totally recommend Tremendous Maid. They were fast (they scheduled me in less than a week after I contacted them), friendly, and thorough. And they didn't let the cats out while they were going in or out! read more

Fantastic Service. I showed up to their office (with out an appointment), and I all my questions were answered and a quote for the service was given on the spot. Weeks later I confirmed that I wanted the service, and they kept the great price that they promised, plus stayed a little longer w/o extra charge! (It was the first visit...and my apartment was not as clean :s). The maids arrived on time, were respectful of the space, quiete...very little chatting among them...all very profesional. They even asked me to check before they left! Over all, it was a great experience, and we will continue to use their services for our condo. I just had my home cleaned by two women from Tremendous Maid. They did a fabulous job! The things I liked about dealing with this company: (1) easy to get in contact with - they responded quickly to my emails and answered all of my questions with courtesy (2) easy to book - they were willing to come the next day if need be (3) up front pricing - I love that there is just a per hour fee for their services and they help guide you to how many hours/maids you might need (4) the cleaning was awesome. I had two house keepers for 3 hours they just cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned. Since my house was pretty neat to begin with I was afraid that maybe they would run out of things to do, but no, they dusted every crevice, wiped down every surface, even started doing the windows! i had a fairly complex situation, because i needed a move-out cleaning done, but as i was handling my move alone and had to follow the moving truck, couldn't be around to let a cleaning crew into the apartment. Nisaury Tejeda of Tremendous Maid basically said "no problem" and allowed me to leave a key for her maids taped to my apartment door. my building is often difficult to find on a map, yet her crew found it without problem. my assigned parking space can also be difficult to find, yet it was not an issue. nor did they have any problem getting in and doing a great cleaning of the place. very impressed with this company. read more

I have a small 1 br apt which hasnt been thoroughly dusted or vacuumed in some time. I wanted them to focus on the dust & cat hair. I also told them they didn't need to clean my room. The good: They were 5 min early Folded toilet paper ( like in hotel) Cleaned my dish rack Fluffed couch Thorough mop job The not so good: Spots/ grease left on the countertops Hair on the floor in the bathroom Rug could've used another round of vacuuming Book shelves noticeably dusty Used my dish sponge for cleaning countertop (used cleaning solution) I would like to say that Victoria was very professional & even took 20 minutes out of her day to put me at ease the day before the cleaners were scheduled to come. Three maids came to my home and did a solid, professional job. Pros: -Perfectly on time, not a minute early or late -Brought their own supplies -Took out the garbage -Left two pieces of fantastic chocolate -Worked efficiently -Did a thorough job of cleaning. I definitely got at least what I paid for (a 3-hr cleaning); there were 3 maids who worked about 1.5 hours -They were very friendly -They did my dishes which maid services don't usually do Cons: -The night before, they texted me and asked to change my appt from 9am to 7:30am. It wasn't a huge deal to me but that's a little early, around the time I usually wake up and need to be in the bathroom and kitchen getting ready -The cleaning results were good but not incredible. It was more like what I do when I'm rushing through the house an hour before someone is going to visit. For example, there is a three-inch wide space between my bathtub and sink that I usually don't clean because I don't feel like it. It wasn't cleaned by the maids either. I can understand where they were coming from, but it was kind of a bummer because when they asked what they should work on, I said the bathrooms were the most important part. -There were a few tiny things that are insignificant on their own but bugged me when taken as a whole. One, my mirrors were all blurry as if they were cleaned with some other cleaner besides glass cleaner. Two, none of my things in the bathroom were put back in the right place - they were all left on the sink, some left open. Three, I left a little clutter (papers, bread, etc) on my kitchen counter and they were put on my toaster oven. Paper and bread in plastic on a toaster oven - total fire hazard! Maybe it's my fault for leaving clutter and having them come at my grumpy morning time, but still. -They seemed rushed. Overall, they did a nice job. Even when I had a question for the management, Victoria went above and beyond to help me. I also got a CoupMe for Tremendous Maid and was VERY satisfied with their service. They sent me a text a day before they came to confirm the timing. They showed up exactly on time and I headed out for some coffee to stay out of their way. An hour and a half later I got a text saying they were finished. My apartment door does not automatically lock so I speed-walked back because I didn't like the thought of my apartment being unlocked. I walked in to find that one of the cleaners had stayed behind (while I assume the other woman went on to the next job) because she didn't want to leave my apartment unlocked. So perceptive and thoughtful! I was very impressed. They did a great job cleaning! My apartment was completely dusted, vacuumed, mopped, scrubbed, and freshened! Tremendous Maid(s) you rock! (3 of them showed up at my door!) My house is a small mansard colonial but I was surprised they would send so many people! They were on time and so VERY clean! I am a bit of a type A and having been busy with work and recent travel I had not had the time to clean my house as I would have liked. It is completely out of character for me to call cleaners but I am so happy I did. I had stopped by the house for about 10 mins when the ladies were in full swing and it was obvious each was on a mission! A cleaning mission that is! The smell of clean as I walked in the house was so refreshing! They vacuumed underneath my modular couch! Who does that? They dusted in places I did not know existed! They cleaned my baseboards! Left my toilet paper folded with a little triangle as if I was at a hotel. Its bananas what those ladies were able to accomplish in just two hours. As for the negative, they rearranged my pillows on the couch. I could see why they would think their arrangement would be nicer but...rearranged them back I did. Definitely not something I can afford every month as a single lady but will definitely shoot for every three! If you can afford it do it! Its worth the piece of mind. FANTASTIC! Easy customer service. I was able to schedule 2 days in advance, and then with a last-minute cancellation they actually came the next day. Right on time and they were very thorough. 2 maids in 2 hours did what I might've taken a week to do on my own. My apartment looks better now than when I moved in. I'm so happy with it. They require a kitchen sponge and toilet brush, but whatever I have those around the house, and they do it because they don't want to transfer bacteria between places. The maids didn't speak English, which I didn't really mind. If you just call the main number, she'll translate for you. (Without that option, it'd be annoying because of specific requests, but someone always picked up when I called so no worries). read more

These guys did a great job cleaning our house and quoted us about $200. They tried to charge us $400 for a pretty small one and a half bedroom apartment. I got them to reduce it to $300 but that still seemed incredibly unreasonable to me. I thought $200 was expensive but worth it because I know they do a good job. I have told a bunch of people about this in JP and many have regular cleaning services for similarly sized apartments for close to $100. I do not recommend using their service. They are very kind but are overcharging by a lot. read more

WOW. We needed a next-day, emergency clean of our investment property and Tremendous Maid came through. Nisaury, who handles the office, was very efficient & responsive, calling back within an hour of my query to schedule me & then also calling the day of the appt to let me know the maids were on their way. Vicky and Maria were wonderful. I couldn't believe how much they were able to accomplish in just a few hours, especially considering we had construction dust *everywhere.* Our back stairs hadn't been mopped in 3 years or more, and now they look like new. Hi Victoria, I appreciate your response. When the maids arrived the first time, you were right, I only saw three. In addition, I said you guys will be here about an hour right and I was told yes. It was not made clear to me that there would be four people and that an hour would be the max amount of time. Slight miscommunication, no problem. Next, I agree, the apartment had not had a thorough cleaning in some time and had seen quite a rotation of roommates...which is why I thought the Groupon was a Godsend to get us started on a regular cleaning schedule. I've never used this type of service before and had no idea the amount of time it would take. Perhaps in the future, you could ask when new clients schedule the appointments what they're looking for so expectations are realistic. Even so, I can completely understand how the maids that came might not have been able to do everything, but I thought wiping a table top and spraying a shower curtain were pretty standard and quick tasks. In any case, thanks for sending two maids back for one hour to clean the bathroom, kitchen and den because of the miscommunication and toilet issue. The second time around the shower curtain wasn't cleaned (maybe you guys just don't do this?) nor was the coffee table cleaned, but the floors were perfect! This was our first time using a maid service. We ordered the move in service with appliance and cabinet cleaning. First off, the response and courteous manner that Victoria presented with in setting up the service was a refreshing experience compared to a lot of the other providers I had spoke to to set up services. Plus she is willing to correspond via email that makes my life so much easier!!! As for the cleaning.... There was a team of 3 women who showed up right on time. These women did an excellent job! The attention to detail and care that they put into thier work is worth every penny. The previous owners of the house were filthy and after the tremendous maid team left, it was gleaming. The head of the team took the time to go through everything that was cleaned and the trouble spots that the previous owners had left behind. Wonderful job, I highly recommend. read more

Totally worth the money....the ladies just left my apartment and did a deep clean spring cleaning! The place looks and smells great - we could smell the lemon freshness from our lobby!! Only two ladies showed up at the beginning which I was happy with since we have a small one bedroom apartment and didn't think 3 was needed (as they originally quoted us), but we were charged for 3 ladies as one must have arrived later; However I'm not going to complain since the place looks OUTSTANDING!! We purchased a CoupMe for this service, and called on short notice to ask if they would be able to come before my daughters birthday party. Not only did she shuffle around the schedule in order to help us out, she wrote us a very sweet thank you card a few days after they came, wishing my little one a happy birthday. They did an amazing job cleaning, and were extremely thorough, even going as far as cleaning the knobs on my oven and the inside of my toaster oven! They also brought all of their own supplies. After a pretty awful experience with Molly Maid, we recently switched to Tremendous Maid. They are great. They've been reliable and thorough. It costs us $125 to have our 1000 sq ft (2-level) townhouse cleaned once per month, which is much more than Molly Maid charges, but we are definitely getting what we pay for. They even take the time to fold the tissues in a fancy design like you'd find at a hotel. read more

I just moved into a new place in Jamaica Plain and I was in DESPERATE need of a professional cleaning services. I was so excited by what I saw the reviews for Tremendous Maid and everything they said on their website confirmed that this was my solution! With that being said, it was incredibly disappointing to see that my expectations were not met, especially given the price tag. Since I knew my cleaning needs were serious, I communicated my needs very clearly over email prior to scheduling the appointment. I listed exactly what I didn't want (dusting, bed making, etc) and what I did want (sanitizing, scrubbing, deep cleansing) and in exactly what locations. I took off work so I could support the cleaning process, adding to the sunk cost of this cleaning service.... What happened next? 3 maids that could not communicate in English were dropped off on my porch. This would be fine if the driver, who could speak English, had facilitated some sort of initial communication. Since the maids immediately started dusting, I called the dispatcher expressed that I asked for a "deep cleansing" (with much explanation) and not a cosmetic cleaning. For 300 bucks I was expecting to be wow'd. They did an ok job and missed tons of areas. Like my desk didn't even get touched, the shelving unit in the bathroom was dusty as can be, and it looked like they just swifter the floors in like five minutes. To make matters worse, I told them not to go in specific closets, I come to find out they left one of the closets open and my dog got in there. He managed to cut his leg on a picture frame and it cost me $542 at the vet and him to wear the cone of shame for two weeks. $842 later and my place is fairly clean with a sick dog, totally worth it. read more

Originally, I hired Tremendous Maid to do a move-in cleaning and there was a misunderstanding in what I wanted done. I left the experience frustrated because I did not receive the service I wanted and I paid a high cost. I work long hours so I didn't get around to making a review for a couple of months, and then I posted here on Yelp about my experience. I almost immediately received a call and an e-mail from Victoria at Tremendous Maid. Victoria had clearly read my review thoughtfully and she responded to each of my concerns. Additionally, she identified how Tremendous Maid could work to avoid such misunderstandings in the future and shared this strategy with me. I was extremely impressed by this response. I had Tremendous Maid come back to do a follow-up cleaning and address my areas of concern, and they did an incredible job. My apartment looks incredible, just in time for the holidays. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone - there is always the possibility for miscommunications that lead to disappointment in any service, but this company clearly really cares about its clients and its reputation for excellence. Although their company is relatively new, Victoria and her crew were very professional and affordable. They did more than I expected, such as making my bed, cleaning the stove and hot water pot, juts little things that I did not expect them to do, but were a nice touch. I would never use this service. I had just discontinued my other maid service because in their haste to finish quickly they kept breaking things, like my dining room table. I cleaned my own 800 sq foot apt myself, no big deal, as I have worked as a maid myself and consider myself a clean person . Contact person from Tremendous maids tried to force me to hire 3 maids for first cleaning without even seeing my apt. They are penny wise & dollar foolish. They declined to clean my house after I had waited around all day. Only good thing is that my house sparkles & I did it myself.
