Dinamarta and Mari are amazing! I got my first deep cleaning yesterday and couldn't be any happier with the quality of work and the price. I have hired many cleaners in the past but these ladies work ethic was way beyond my expectations. If you are looking for someone who won't just clean around furniture but also clean things like shoes, clothing and beauty products then I would 100% recommend her. (Tl;dr) The two stars is for the cleaning, which I felt was adequate. However, I felt Dina was dishonest in her cost estimate, making the experience unpleasant. I hired Dina to clean our house before moving in. After requesting a quote on Yelp, Dina came back with a very wide range of $165-$285 + "maybe" additional labor. I then told her the exact details of the house including square footage and #beds and #baths. She could not update her quote based on this info, which should have been a red flag to me, but all of her 5 stars reviews gave me confidence to hire her. After cleaning, Dina sent me several photos of the house (I was at work) and asked me how much I'm "happy to pay". I suggested a price within the range, and she came back with... 325. Which was NOT within the huge range she gave, even knowing the details of the home. Then she told me if I am "not happy" I can pay $285. Which is the maximum price I expected to pay as the house is small, had no contents, was already in good condition, and had no carpets. After viewing the house, I noticed it was satisfactory, but some spots were missed. I again tried to negotiate a fair price and said I'd be happy to give her a good review on Yelp, which she viewed as "threatening"... no, it is simply stating a fact that if I am happy I will write a good review (see a below review that states the same experience). This implication made the transaction extremely unpleasant. I did end up paying her $285, but here we are: I am dissatisfied. I have no problem paying someone what they believe their work is worth if the price is agreed on ahead of time. However, if you know the details of a client's home in advance, it's very dishonest to give a "range" which at the low end is HALF of what you will then request as payment. She never intended to charge anything below the maximum. I cannot in good faith recommend Dina. read more

I was very happy when I learned she would. I found Dinamarta through Care.com more than two years ago when I was initially looking just for a 'once over' deep cleaning of my house, which, as my life gets busier I have less time to tend to. And this 'once over clean turned into a bi-monthly clean because she is absolutely fantastic. Here's a for instance - I had a professional cleaning service come in, with the matching shirts and the whole 9, and give me a ridiculous estimate, tell me it would take 3 people to clean my 1100sq foot house and then tell me that absolutely no way would my hard water stains come out of the shower stall. Dinamarta not only got them out, she had more positivity and flexibility than any other service I had spoken to or worked with. Now Dinamarta does a bi-monthly clean for me which is not only spotless but well thought, she has a wonderful way of staging/feng-shuing the tchotckies after she gets around them and into every nook and cranny. And her personality is infectious, you can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work. Several months ago I had Dinamarta come do a deep cleaning of my apartment. And believe me when I say it really needed it. So much so that I felt awful and apologetic even having her come in. Yeah.. housekeeping isn't my strong point. Ever since then I've been having her come in once a month to do a cleaning. Her rates are so reasonable, and she makes scheduling incredibly easy. She sends me a text with her available dates and I book in. Done. I have several dogs which she's perfectly ok with, and while I try my best to make sure there are no dishes in the sink when she's here, if there are she even does them. Dina was SO unbelievably thorough and attentive in her deep clean of our 2 bathroom/four bedroom apartment. She was here for over seven hours, cleaning literally every crevice in our apartment. The apartment looked and smelled completely brand new. I cannot recommend her enough. Our kitchen has just been renovated and the entire apartment was covered in dust as a result. We also hadn't done a deep clean in years... I found Dinamarta on Yelp and asked her to do a deep clean based on her many five star reviews. Dinamarta does not disappoint! She spent about 5hrs cleaning by herself and the whole place is pristine!!! The apartment has never looked better, I am so impressed. She really went above and beyond--cleaned the radiators, trash cans, microwave and toaster. The floors are literally gleaming and everything looks brand-new and smells great. Between a new baby, a dog, and a job, the house was falling in dire straits of grossness. I asked my husband to assist with my mental load and he found Dinamarta on Yelp. She has been very easy to work with, communicative, and the results are amazing. We started with a very reasonably priced deep clean, after which we found out that our stovetop was white, not black from boiling over broths and flecked with burned bits of pasta. After that, we arranged for a bi-monthly service which has brought the house further along into the direction of "acceptable for hosting dinner parties". We were requested to pay in cash for the first cleaning but could use checks for the subsequent ones which makes it easy. Highly recommended! read more

Dinamarta will rip you off. Combine that with the fact that communicating with her--which she prefers to do over text--is an absolute nightmare and there's absolutely no reason to call this woman to do your housecleaning. Plenty of other fish in the sea. Let me start from the beginning. Our apartment is 750 sq ft. We moved in 3 months ago, and it was deep cleaned 2 months ago. In fact, those cleaners (wonderful Brazilian women) were AMAZING and they did the whole deep clean for $140, and wanted to clean our place monthly for $100. Unfortunately, they moved and so I had to find a new cleaner. Introduce Dinamarta into the story. Since the first deep clean, we've kept our apartment quite clean. We are tidy people. I literally just wanted someone to do a bit more thorough clean etc. I called Dinamarta, and she insisted we continue talking over text. She told me she could not give me an estimate until she saw the apartment, and said maybe $150 to $200. There is NO WAY I would spend that much to clean a 750 square foot apartment that is ALREADY clean (The first deep clean was only $140). So I immediately asked if she could give us a deal for less, if we booked her for monthly cleanings. I proposed $100. She said she needed to see the apartment, but that $100 might work. The day of the cleaning arrives. I wasn't home, but my sister-in-law was. Dinamarta sent her assistant who spoke no English, and who started cleaning WITHOUT CONFIRMING THE PRICE. Next thing I know, we are being charged $150--A PRICE WE DID NOT AGREE TO. Mind you, this is for a 750 sq ft that was ALREADY deep cleaned... My husband suggested it might be fair if we meet half way, and pay $120, since we were expecting it to cost $100 (since we wanted to hire her on a monthly basis). She called me and demanded the $30 extra. Of course, I relented (if that's the price, that's the price--not that I had a say in it), but of course, I planned to write this review and warn people. This is this woman's business logic: preferring to rip you off over securing you as a loyal, monthly customer. For 30 measly dollars, she lost a customer that was willing to give her a consistent, monthly revenue stream. I feel cheated and angry. It's just $30, but it's the principle. EDIT: If you read the response from Dinamarta below, she is lying about saying her price was a firm $150. I have text messages from her saying $100 might work but that she needs to see the apartment first. Additionally, she is lying about me threatening her. She was the one who called *me* very angry that my husband suggested $120--okay. Since I didn't get to approve the price before getting charged, I told her, we will pay the $150--(I never threatened to pay her only $100)--but because your behavior was so dishonest, you better bet I'm going to write an angry review on yelp. That is 100% my right as a consumer--it is literally why Yelp exists as a resource. Again, if you're wealthy (which I suppose many of her clients are), maybe give this woman a call. If you're like me, and can't afford to get ripped off, do not call this woman. read more

I highly recommend Dinamarta! We asked her to do a one-time "deep clean" of our apartment after seeing her reviews. It was easy to make arrangements with her through Yelp, even on short notice, and the estimate she provided seemed very reasonable. Our apartment is in an old building and was pretty neglected so I wasn't sure how much to expect, but Dinamarta worked a miracle! I can't believe how much she did in one session. Dina is the warmest person and I feel so comfortable with her in my home both when I am present or not. The quality and attention to detail in cleaning my space really exceed my expectations. She's reliable, hardworking, responsible, loyal, trusted, and most of all she's can really clean. She'll clean places in the house that you won't even know that needed to be cleaned. She cleans more then you can even expect. Sometimes she'll even clean more then what you can ask. This effect doesn't happen only on the first day either, everyday after she cleans you will ask yourself, "How does she do it?" She's great with kids and animals.
