We have been to Bellino's a handful of times- We will definitely be back. Have tried a few items and all were good- pizza definitely worth it! They take reservations which is always a plus in my book. Also owners seem to take pride in their business. Dessert menu pricey and portion small. Also food could be a little warmer and I have seen a few reviews mentioning the food was not was not warm enough. But that's the only negative I have experienced. Will definitely be back. Excellent Italian food, reasonably priced with good service. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit loud. There's a nice drink menu with a good selection of wines. The menu includes apps, salads, pasta, pizza and entrees. We enjoyed the frutti di mar, chicken francese and veal marsala- all quite tasty and fresh. Portions are generous. The parking can be difficult but the entire lot (shared) is fair game. Will definitely return. read more

Came here for a business meal and asked for a quiet table. We got that. A wonderful table and a fabulous server. She made sure everything moved along on time. The appetizer was a lovely bruschetta that was both crunchy and moist. The tomatoes were insane. We each had pasta for an entrée and the food was very good. I have driven by this restaurant for over 10 years and never gave it a try that is until a couple of friends asked us to join them for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right on time. The atmosphere was fine not super formal and not too casual. The tables were spacious and the noise level was good. The menu offerings are more than ample with a good mix of seafood, pasta and other American cuisine. The service was very good and we never wanted for anything all night. We ordered calamari and a Mediterranean salad for appetizers. The salad fed 4 and the calamari was crispy and tasty. For entrees I ordered the Salmon over vegetable risotto. The meal was tasty but the salmon was a bit overcooked. My wife ordered Frutti Di Mare fra diavolo. The dish was tasty and had plenty of fish. We had dinner there last night, it's a small venue so it's very loud and felt quite cramped. Way too hectic for me to relax and enjoy dinner. My salad was good, my risotto was disappointing, my dates entree of chicken broccoli alfredo was as dry as popcorn and a huge disappointment. Service was very good but a bit hurried. First, let me say the view and the decor are both lovely. It's great to sit outside in the summer and look out at the water. The food, for me, ranges from mediocre to good depending on what you order. I've never had a bad meal here, but really never been "wowed" either. I do think the quality of the olive oil they serve on the tables for bread dipping is subpar though. The service was neither poor nor terrific for me in the past, BUT last time I was there I was really disappointed. We were greeted by a rather unenthusiastic hostess, who seated us at a table directly in the hot sun on a sweltering summer day. There were only 2 other parties eating outside, so there were plenty of tables for her to choose from. Before we had a chance to get settled and realize it would be horribly uncomfortable, she was gone. We found no staff to ask so, after waiting about 5 minutes, we moved ourselves one table over. When the hostess came back to seat another party we explained the situation and, instead of being apologetic or gracious, she gave us a dirty look and muttered something about the place settings as if we'd done something horribly egregious!! Meanwhile, the waitress had come over and, without introducing herself (found out from the bill her name is Pamella S.), just asked if we wanted plain or bubbly water. We thought that it was a nice option so we ordered bubbly water. She never told us we would be charged for a whole bottle of Pellegrino at the end! Just happened to be in the area and Yelped what restaurants were in the area. Bellino's came up and was conveniently located right off 128/95. The parking lot looked pretty full so we decided to try it. Although they were very busy, we were lucky enough to be seated at the last open table in the dining room. There is a bar side and a dining room. Both not huge but very nice atmosphere. Our waitress came over and asked if we would like water. Then came over and asked about drinks. I opted for an apple martini. A cone shaped basket of bread was brought to the table which was home made. I just wish they had brought a seasoned olive oil for dipping. There was a bottle of olive oil on the table, but was just plain olive oil. The triangle shaped bread would have been perfect for dipping in a seasoned olive oil. I looked over the menu and there were a few selections that looked interesting. I opted for my usual Chicken Piccata. The menu said it came with diced tomatoes and spinach. I asked for no spinach. The entrée came with penne. My husband got his usual Parmesan, this time veal. The apple martini was delicious and in a decent sized glass. Our entrees came. My chicken piccata looked DELICIOUS. Instead of the usual pale, naked chicken breasts in a watery sauce with no taste, this was delicious looking. Cutlets had a slight coating and were browned slightly. The sauce was thick and super lemony. A bite into the chicken and I was in heaven. Chicken was super tender, not stringy indicating the chicken was cheap. Super tender, so they are using a decent cut of chicken. And, there were no tomatoes, which was fine with me because I like it just the way it was served. Simplicity and perfection always equals a happy customer. And I was super happy. My husband said his veal was a little tough. I tried it, and thought it was fine, so I guess it's a matter of preference. The flavor of the cutlet was delicious. He said the penne was cooked perfectly and the sauce was super delicious. I also tasted the sauce and it was very good. Marinara, not over cooked, and a beautiful flavor. A very good experience and we will certainly be back. We have been back to Bellino's a total of three times. My husband got Chicken Parmesan instead of the Veal and loved it. I got Chicken Piccata again and then tried Chicken Bellino and loved it. The sauce was fantastic. Rich, flavorful and delicious. I would say three times to a restaurant and you are still saying you love it, makes it a keeper in my book. I always drove by and knew about this place and am upset I never tried it sooner. We had a reservation for Friday at 6pm, and were seated immediately. Our server came over to greet us right away. She was SO sweet and gave a great first impression. We started off with some drinks and appetizers. I couldn't eat the appetizers my friend ordered (I'm GF) but she said they were amazing. I decided to be basic and get the broccoli chicken (with GF pasta) with cream sauce. The flavor was excellent, pasta cooked perfectly. However, I agree with another review here that says the sauce is too thin and soupy. I didn't mind too much, since the dish as a whole is tasty, but if the sauce was thicker, it would be a 10/10. Also, my friend got the fusilli alla vodka and the sauce looked much thicker (no complaints). Our server was also what made our experience, I wish I got her name. Got takeout from here tonight and was really impressed with their pasta. We ordered the fusilli pomodoro with meatballs. This dish exceeded expectations. Also loved the fresh basil on top. We also ordered a house salad and a cheese pie. The salad was big, fresh and full of veggies. The only reason they get 4 stars is because of the pizza... it tasted just a tad salty to me... but the crust has good integrity despite being so thin and the cheese is a'plenty! We also ordered the sausage and pepper stuffed arancinis. Perfection! But the meals, once again, were subpar. The chicken picatta was smothered with spinach, tomatoes and cheese, which made the breading soggy. The lemony flavor of the sauce was good, as was the typical capers. I ordered the homemade fusilli, and while I don't doubt that it was homemade, I DO doubt that it was fresh. Something was not quite right. Hubby got the chicken parmesan calzone, and while it looked appropriately browned, the dough was underdone. Also, service was pretty slow, and we got there before 5:00. This was our last attempt. The caramel bread pudding dessert with fresh fruit was excellent Cons - chicken saltimbocca was oversalted and flavorless. A touch of lemon or white wine would have made a world of difference. The cheese that smothered the entire dish and was overpowering and rather lousy (coming from a cheese lover). Bartender was undertrained and sluggish to check in. I am in no rush to return. They have a very large menu and the servers were very friendly. The location and the outside patio are also very nice and have a great view of the lake. We ordered the Amatriciana which was on special and the Pasta Norma. Unfortunately, the homemade fusilli pasta was really over cooked and was drowning in tomato sauce. The amatriciana was not anything like amatriciana I've had before and tasted like plain tomato sauce which was disappointing. The pasta Norma was much better but still drowning in sauce. I order a raspberry chicken salad, it was better than I expected. The chicken was very well seasoned and the dressing itself was the perfect touch 10/10. My sister order Cheese linguini, again 10/10. Mozzarellas sticks was also great, especially for the price. Omg, don't even get me started with deserts! I was very pleased with the tiramisu and limoncello cake! Had a really negative experience working here under the new ownership due to Wendy. Breaks weren't allowed, there was extreme nepotism, and some of the treatment was borderline harassment. I really hope improvements can be made because I think she may drive out business and employees; however, when any of us tried to openly communicate concerns to her she shut us down by saying, "if you don't like it, then leave," so I guess she wouldn't really care if all of the OG employees left. In fact, we think she's trying to push us out to make room for her friends and family. I hope that Alexis and his wife Yuli can overcome the obstacles Wendy and her father Sam (another owner) instill. We've had two great dining experiences here so far. We came on a Friday night both times and were seated fairly quickly despite the restaurant being crowded. The host / manager is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when you walk in, even if you're not a "regular" (and they clearly have a lot of them). My wife and I have tried a few different pastas during our visit, but the classic Chicken Parm and the Pasta Abruzzi really stand out. The Abruzzi is a penne dish with Italian sausage in a spicy marinara sauce, and it's delicious! The sauce adds a little kick, but isn't overwhelming the point where it overwhelms the rest of the meal. I also recommend the Tortellini Parma for a creamier option. As to the rest of the experience: Drinks are standard fare - nothing special, but also nothing obvious missing from the menu. The waitstaff is very good and checks in just the right amount. Prices are extremely reasonable. Last but not least, you get a great view of Lake Quannapowitt from the patio (at least during the summer). Overall, an above-average Italian dining experience. It doesn't quite rise to the level of a 5-star North End equivalent, but a great option in the suburbs nonetheless. read more

We popped in on the way home from Maine on Fathers Day. The food was delicious, and the staff was knowledgeable and super friendly.

I made a reservation for 12 people for our daughter's 30th bday on Wednesday evening. Not only did they have the table set for 12, they added 2 more place settings upon our arrival to accommodate two more guests. I try not to leave bad reviews for small businesses but the 4 stars are undeserved here. The sauce was very runny and watery, the pasta tasted like boxed pasta. There was no seasonings on anything. I came here with a friend for dinner because I had a coupon and someone told me it was a great place to go, but this was not my jam. It's a small place across from Lake Quannapowitt, and I imagine that the view would be lovely in the warmer weather. And everyone working there was very nice, the service was good. Two stars for that. But it's expensive, the wine pours are dinky ($10 for a glass of house wine), and the food lacks flavor and oomph. They're also very stingy with cheese, which you wouldn't expect. We got the eggplant rollatini as an appetizer and I was expecting rich, cheesy goodness, but it came out with only five threads of mozzarella on top and it was only one piece each for the two of us, which was like two or three bites and then you're done. Entrees were more generously portioned, but they did not match the description on the menu. I ordered the Pasta Norma, which was described as roasted eggplant and tomatoes served with a fresh tomato sauce over linguine, but what came out was mushy eggplant and raw tomatoes in a tomato cream sauce over spaghetti. I asked the waitress if it was supposed to be linguine and she said that it was and that she double-checked with the kitchen, but that's the thinnest linguine I've ever seen in my life. It was flattened spaghetti. They should also say that the tomato sauce contains cream because 'fresh' sounds like marinara, or something without cream. My entree came with five threads of ricotta salata on top, needed salt, and tasted as if someone had put it in a smoker -- there was this funky, smoky aftertaste. And it was $18, without any meat in it. That seems pricy to me. The place was jam-packed so they obviously have a good customer base. They don't take reservations and the parking lot is small, but there looks like there's parking on the street in back of the restaurant. read more

We came here on a spur of the moment google search. I've walked and drove by this place so many times and had no idea it was there. Upon arrival the hostess/ waitress was so friendly. The wait staff was prompt and friendly filling our waters and keeping us fed with yummy warm soft bread until our appetizer came. We ordered a small pizza to share and it was AMAZING. Perfectly done.
