Not only respectful, always prompt, clean, they did a great job. I have since hired Almaraz Construction to complete my interior remodel of my round house which is challenging and unique. Drywalling a round home is a huge challenge. They did an amazing job and it looks fantastic. They are now installing a Murphy bed and a new bathroom vanity. No matter what the job, the team has been incredible! I will use them next year for my complete kitchen remodel. Thank you Jose and team!!!! Brenda & Bob on Harstene Island

**Above and Beyond Contractor who does what he promises to do at a fair price**…read more Jose was quick to answer my request for a bid to paint the exterior of our home. He came to our home on time and did a thorough walk around our home and gave us a detailed bid. For reference we had most of our siding replaced, and the entire outside of our home painted, including front door, gutters, along with some other repairs. I found Jose and crew, to be professional at every turn, I liked that he had a detailed contract and several options for payments. His price was fair after receiving another bid. It is a lot of trust having work done in and around your home, Jose met and exceeded my high expectaions of doing an excellent, and detailed job. He takes pride in his work. Communication was seamless throughout the project, that is important to me, he even answered the phone when I was calling him while at the paint store getting a sample to try a color out. I highly recommend trying colors out on your house before finalizing your choice. Jose is generous with his knowledge, he showed me how to take apart light fixtures in order to clean the glass and spray paint them, They look brand new and saved us $ He even shared his recommended spray paint with me. I will use him again without hesitation. K & S Wright Gig Harbor WA

These guys showed up and went above and beyond expectations. We had an odd garage remodel project…read morethat involved pouring a new level concrete floor and finishing the interior to convert it to a proper workspace. We were turned down/ignored by dozens of "top-of-the-line-read-our-amazing-reviews-on-Yelp-if-you-don't-believe-us" contractors and contracting companies in the Seattle and Greater Seattle area who had only their kitchen and bathroom aspirations in mind. Then, Jorge Torres dropped by for a quick survey and estimate and gladly accepted the work. His guys started the following week and within a month, our very dusty and sad garage turned into the art studio and office space of my fiancée's dreams. In addition to the concrete floor, the Torres Brothers and team drywalled the walls and ceiling, painted, replaced a window and removed the old garage door and replaced it with French doors. We are absolutely thrilled with the results! It's worth mentioning that Jorge and his crew are awesome guys! Super friendly, zero attitude, hard-working fellows who are good at what they do and enjoy what they do. We'll be hiring them again to fix our roof this upcoming spring and would absolutely refer them to anyone looking for an excellent contracting crew - especially if you've got a project that needs some innovative solutions.

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.
