Walk-ins beware. Horrible customer service. Make you wait without acknowledgement. Hair all over the floor. The whole time I was there was some garbage on the floor that Barbers passed on several occasions and never picked up. Barber who cut my sons hair did not know how to cut a fade. He basically buzzed it to the skin all the way near the top. If barber doesn't know how to properly blend a fade he should state that he does. Also my kid has"razor" burn on side of his face from poorly maintained trimmers. If we wanted a cut by an apprentice student I would have gone elsewhere. Horrible first time experience. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Do NOT go here!!! I have tried several tones in hopes it's just a bad day or something but EVERY time it's the same thing!!! The lady at the front will skip my son and say she called him WHEN I BEEN SITTING HERE WATCHING AND WAITING THE WHOLE TIME! It's not just once it's every time!!! She has an attitude every time! Today I was in the mall and decided to get a haircut I went to Trend Setters when I walked in there was no one at the front desk one of the barbers told me to sign in and then take a seat I was there for almost an hour they were right about the playing on their phones laziest bunch of people I have ever seen after an hour I finally walked out so anyone wanting to start a business the mall would be a good place for a barbershop wouldn't take much to put these clowns out of business. read more

The first time was good. After that he's come home with 3 hack-jobs. I'm pissed af! Learn how to fade and wtf a MOHAWK is! First of all my boyfriend would be pissed off if he knew I was posting these pictures but I'm just trying to help future victims to stay far away! My boyfriend gave his "barber" these two reference photos and asked for a short, choppy, layered mohawk that could be styled using light amounts of product. Specifically asked to make sure the back was also choppy and layered so it didn't end up looking like a rat tail. His hair was also parted down the middle when he came home! I can't believe you even let him walk out of your shop looking like this! The only reason it even looks somewhat together is because I took these pictures after I personally put some product in and tried to fix it! He even asked my boyfriend "do you part your hair down the middle or does it just do that?" "I guess it just does that." SO PUT SOME PRODUCT IN IT WTF???? Thank God Chico The Barber is fixing this absolute f*** up today! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT GARBAGE LIKE THIS. If I could've given this place 0 stars I would have. My husband and I ran an errand at the mall. My hubby is the boss at a crawlspace repair company & doesn't have too much free time. He has really been wanting to get cleaned up but never has the time. An employee at a different store told us there was a barber shop in the mall. We were excited because it was perfect timing. Well, I wish it was perfect timing for the employees at Trendsetters. We walked in & immediately signed in. Absolutely not one person greeted or acknowledged us in any way. So, we just sat down wherever. We noticed a gentleman finishing up a kid & they weren't busy so we assumed we were probably next. Evidently not, the barber finished the kid & promptly sat down in his chair & pulled out his phone. He is aware we're there. The couch is literally 2 feet away from his chair. So, we wait as he's playing on his phone when after 10 minutes or so another barber walks to his own station and sits in his chair also pulling out his phone. Again, we think, ok 2 free barbers someone will acknowledge us. Nothing. I turn to the first barber and say, "Excuse me, do we just sign in & wait and someone will get to us?" Hoping that he will pick up on the social clue. He turn to me super annoyed as if I interrupted him and gives me a disgusted, "Yeah..." Second barber puts his phone away, starts singing to the music overhead & approaches the first barber. They begin to chat & laugh one showing the other stuff on his phone. Totally ignoring us. There are no other customers. I'm a jeweler & have worked customer service all my life. I sell diamonds all day. I know what appropriate customer service is. Bottom line, they didn't even receive our business. Your establishment didn't make us feel welcome at all. Too bad, we're great tippers. Best to save your money & go to All Starz in Hobart, In. The Boricuas give the best fades anyway & at least they're professional. read more

My son loves getting "fresh" at this hair shop. The barbers are Very good!! Every cut I see come out of here is sharp and stylish!! The place is clean and the chairs are unique. We have been visiting this shop and have had to use several of the barbers die to visiting at sporadic times. Each barber has do e a great job! You won't be disappointed!! read more

This is a very unprofessional establishment. Consistent rotation of barbers & the ones that are available are very rude. None of the barbers seem to believe in appointment times and tell you to "slide thru" and when you do they aren't there. Clearly, these barbers don't understand professionalism or how to make any money. All of them could use some training on business etiquette. I guess I will be making the trek back to Chicago every week. read more
