I came here for my wedding manicure. I was impressed with the nail tech Lisa. She treated my nails like a masterpiece, making sure to perfect the design in each step of the process. I opted for an ombre look from natural pink at the root, to white at the tips. On two nails on each hand, I wanted an intricate design. Lisa was able to recreate the design from my photo exactly. One of my nails was literally ripped in half before my appointment (I hadn't been eating well for that month), but she was able to fix my nail and get to work. After she was finished, you couldn't tell it was broken at all. The nail salon itself was clean and felt peaceful. The price ($100-ish) was worth it for my beautiful nails as well as the level of skill and service! All of my friends kept asking about my nails. I highly recommend Trendy Nails! read more

Something's changed :( I know they changed owners a while back, but I have been a few times since then. The last 3 times I've come for a pedi, the salon has been pretty empty, and quiet. My usual girl Ly isn't around and I've gotten pedis from the male tech that works there. When he's scrubbing and cutting etc, I don't think he even considers non-verbal cues, and each time it's been way too rough, scrubbing the front of my shin to the point of me having to stop him (hint: use some force on the balls/soles of my feet instead, that's what hurts). Today, he just kept cutting and pulling at an ingrown nail. Yeah, it got fixed, but... try a little tenderness? The water is up to me to test. He turns it on, says go... it's cold. Once it was so hot when he told me to put my feet in... hello, YOU check first? The first time I had a pedi from him, in an empty space, 25 min before closing time, he came and said "done!" and turned off my chair, basically rolled it up with me in it and let me know I was finished. But I could've easily sat for another 10 minutes...wouldn't have made a difference to them but it did to me. I thought coming in on a weekend morning would offer me more options but today's was a third strike. I really wish it was as good as it used to be, because I love supporting my local shops. Out of loyalty, I might give one more chance, but this should be relaxing and enjoyable, not rushed and painful. read more

I've been here 3 times, and I have gotten great manicures each time. The gel x nails never chipped and the polish stayed perfect. You will have to go back to get them off though. I highly recommend Jenna as a nail tech. She is friendly, precise, and makes sure you're happy with each step of the process. The vibe is pretty chill. I brought my boyfriend to get a pedicure while I did my nails and got one myself. It was 4 on a Saturday and they close at 7, even though there was only 4 girls working and who I think was the owner they managed to accommodate both of us and the other people who came in. I did not feel rushed or ignored. the lady's were so sweet. It was very quiet and the decor is beautiful. All the girls seemed very happy to work there, we were the last ones to leave because the lady who did my nails took her time and just chatted with me and the other girls. It felt like I'd been going there forever. The chairs and all the equipment seemed new and well cared for. I feel like this is a hidden gem, this place is awesome and I will definitely be going back. I scheduled a mani and pedi for my fiancé's birthday. I dropped him off and when we eventually made it back home he stated that his toes were hurting from his pedicure. I took a look and I was immediately upset. The technician did an awful job and nipped his skin in multiple places. She did a rush job because about 15 minutes into the pedicure he texted me stating that he was almost done with his pedicure. I called then and the owner fed me some lie about the technician was about to do the hot stones and that the technician was her sister and she knew what she was doing. I phoned again requesting a refund after looking at my fiancé's toes. The owner stated that they can try to fix it. I explained to her that we didn't want to come back especially since the skin around his toes were injured and today was his birthday. I requested her email to send her pictures and the one she provided didn't work; it came back immediately as undeliverable. I told her I would phone back after I sent them and when I did after the email didn't send, no one answered. Don't waste your time or money. I have been visiting Trendy Nails Salon since 2014. Previously located in Saint Augustine, Trendy Nails Salon moved to a larger location in Jacksonville and for a good reason. I have always received the best manicures and pedicures from this business. In fact, I will only visit this salon. After finding this gem, I noticed that no other salon could match the quality of service. The owners are friendly and work really hard to provide a clean and comfortable atmosphere, as well as quality work. You won't be disappointed in your mani/pedis ever again!
