July '14... Time to post another update... Have continued having monthly (or close to monthly) facials with Luann! Love how my skin looks. Also, the G.M. Collin products are fabulous! AND Thoroughly satisfied with another new service at Trentanove... Eyelashes!!! They're beautiful!! Thank you Eddie!! Had my monthly dermabrasion appt this past weekend... and can not believe how awesome my skin looks and feels! Thank you, Luann!! Will continue to refer all my friends to you!! I love Trentanove, and the many services I've received there (including a Groupon deal). I continue to return - because of the treatments, products and manner in which they are provided, but mostly because of Luann. I've been going to her for years for electrolysis and dermabrasion, and my 50+ skin looks wonderful. I've referred my friends, my daughter and her friends (20's), and all continue to return. I find it very hard to believe the negative reviews are legitimate. Trentanove is a new and improved gem of a beauty bar with a skilled staff, and great atmosphere and vibe. I've been meaning to write a review on this place and finally got around to it. I purchased a groupon a few months ago for 4 microdermabrasion and just purchased another set directly thru Trentanove. Michelle does my treatments and also facials and she is great! I definitely recommend her. She is very knowledgable and doesn't try to see you on the products they sell which is great. I've had 2 facials so far from Michelle and my skin feels great. I still have occasional breakouts but thats just my skin. I love the atmosphere in the salon, everyone is friendly and I feel right at home. Luann (the ownder) is super friendly and chill which I really like. If you are looking for a spa thats laid back that does a great job, check this place out you will be happy! read more

I started coming here for microdermabrasions which I purchased with a Groupon type offer over a year ago. I booked all of my appointments using e-mail and never encountered a problem. I was so pleased with Luann's technique as compared to others that I have had in the past that I recently purchased a series of microdermabrasions and peels and am enjoying the treatments, ease of scheduling and mostly the results. The spa is small, but clean and comfortable. I am never kept waiting long and receive excellent, friendly service from everyone here, especially Luann and Michele. read more

Thank you Groupon for introducing me to Luann and this establishment. I have had the pleasure of seeing Luann for microderm for the past few months and I couldn't be happier with her and the results. Due to some restructuring Trentanove was born from the former TLS spa. I initially met Luann through a Groupon I purchased and have not had any issue in redeeming it for microderm sessions. Luann is friendly, accommodating, and does not try to push anything on you. She is best reached by email and will work with you on finding a time that suits your schedule. She is located easily in Winchester. The business itself is clean, modern and adjacent to various cafes and restaurants. Luann has always been courteous, prompt, and focuses on providing excellent service to her clients. I can't express enough the positive experiences I have had at Trentanove in light of some bad reviews that I have read. read more

Just had my 3rd micro derm and I'm definitely seeing a difference. My skin is smoother, fresher and I think looks younger. The lines around and under my eyes are barely visible. As usual, Luann took her time, made sure I got the full benefit of the treatment. I've got three more to go and I'm looking forward to them. This place is awful! I bought a Groupon for 2 microdermabrasions. On the first visit, my appointment was scheduled for 1:15pm on a Sat. I arrived at 1:00 pm and was told that "we are running 10 min late". While waiting, I noticed there was another person waiting also for a microdermabrasion scheduled for 1:00pm!!! Both her and I were shocked to find out that the treatments usually last 5-10min, so they book appointments 15 min apart from each other. Kelly was the one doing the treatments on this day and we were told "I don't do them, I'm just covering for Michelle" plus she was answering phones and working as cashier. It took her exactly 10 min to clean my face, use the microdermabrasion machine and done. I left the salon after 45 minutes feeling robbed. Today, (March 1, 2014) I went for my second one (since it was already paid for!!) and even more disappointment. I called the salon to confirm my appointment (they don't call you) and the lady on the phone (named Luann) was the most unhappy and rude person I've dealt with. My appointment was scheduled for 1:15pm again. I get to the salon at 1:04pm and left the salon at 1:19pm!!!! This time they were waiting for me I guess, and there was Michele. It took her probably 4 min from start to finish (the use of the machine, clean your face and done). My face felt so itchy and very red after (thank God it only lasted 4 min. Can you imagine any longer?? My face would be on fire!!) Not to mention the lack of costumer service from the receptionist (Luann again)... it sort of seems that she hates to be working there, who knows. I DO not recommend this place at all, it is not worth it!!! read more

I made the very poor mistake of purchasing a groupon for this place with Luann. When I first purchased it I called as any person would to schedule an appointment and I was greeted by a voicemail system and referred to an email address to make an appointment (very unprofessional and unheard of) Yet, I still emailed the address thinking that I would get a prompt response. However, I did not get that response until two days later. I immediately thought this was extremely odd. Furthermore, Luann was not being flexible with her schedule or answering my questions. I tried to ask groupon for a refund however they do not do that. So I sucked it up and went. At first I understood that this is a new business owner. However in the 4 times I have gone to my appointment. I have not been seen for 30-40 minutes and I have always been on time or earlier. There is always a new receptionist when I go and while they seem to be nice they are extremely unprofessional! Also, Luann completely ignores you as she knows she is running late and could not be bothered because she is so into and all about herself. My final straw has been that in my last appointment for a microdermabrasion I was taken 30 minutes late. Then each time I go alcohol is applied to my face- which as a current esthetics student my instructor was mortified that she is doing this to clients skin, and (she does not because it's good for your skin but it prevents her machine from not getting clogged) Anyways, my last micro the receptionist barged into my room on an iphone facetiming Luann's daughter on speaker phone and Luann and her were both speaking to her. My appointment was rushed and then Luann in front of a customer was on the phone and did not even check me out or say good bye! So my sympathy vote is officially out the window. These people are not going to last owning this business if they keep this up it is simply intolerable. Best advice do not GO HERE you will regret it! read more

TLS Spa Associates has changed their name (not location, nor owner--Luann). Luann still has poor customer service. Also, she seem to be deliberately attempting to thwart those who purchased Groupons her services. The business card she gave me listed a phone number and when I called the message stated that calls for microdermabrasion would not be returned and stated email was mandatory for an appointment. To top it off, the email address given is not valid and bounced back. I have never heard of a business with such poor customer service that they would actually state that customers' calls would absolutely not be returned. And, the gall to expect that all potential customers have continued access to a computer is unbelievable! When I did show up for appointments, she kept me waiting while talking on her cell phone. No apology for being late for the appointment. I will state that one associate, Michelle, is much, much better and more personable as well. read more

I bought a package from Groupon. I thought this place was very unprofessional. I went there a few times and never went back, didn't even finish using all my visits. Luaan needs to be more considerate to her customers. While getting my microderm her loud, hanging bracelets were continually wacking me off the nose !!! And the microderm was very fast and sloppy. Very happy with my first experience at Trentanove. Luann was very friendly and accommodating when scheduling my appointment and even easily changed my time when I had something unexpected come up. Michelle did my peel and she was friendly, knowledgable and professional. She made great product recommendations, only after I inquired. I used a Groupon for my first visit but absolutely plan to return to this clean, reasonably priced, professional space many times in the future. Thank you Luann and Michelle! Purchased a Groupon for two microdermabrasion treatments; first time so I wanted to try it out before buying a package. First visit was with Luann, although she was nice, the treatment lasted maybe 3min total and she used maybe one or two products on my face. Lunch had just been delivered so I don't know if she felt she needed to rush so she could eat but microdermabrasion is not cheap. To be honest when I first was greeted by her it was almost as if I was a bother. Plus side - I noticed my pores were much smaller from just one visit! Second visit was with KellyAnne. KellyAnne was a doll! Super pleasant, explained everything to me, took a minimum of 15min and massaged my face while applying at least 4 products. I was so relaxed and didn't feel as though I was taking up her time. I could tell she actually enjoyed her job and cares about her customers. I have been going to Trentanove Beauty Bar for over a year now. i had a Groupon for Microdermabrasion treatments one per month. I also go there for electrolysis and Chemical Peels. Luann has been the one I have been seeing for all these services & I would definitely recommend her. Today I decided to have my hair done there. James did my hair. He was excellent! He asked many questions before cutting to make sure you got exactly what you want. I left there happy with my hair cut & color & very relaxed! read more

I've been getting microdermabrasion from Luann for over a year now. It is a very pleasant experience. The facilities are always clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. On one occasion I had to cancel my appointment at the last minute and Luann was very understanding and accommodating. My teenage daughter gets her hair done here and she loves it as well. read more

I bought a Groupon for microdermabrasion here, and was first put off when I heard a voicemail saying that messages would not be returned and I had to email for an appointment. When I emailed, it took at least a week to get a response. I was told in this snide little piece I finally received that they were booking into the first week of December, and the package had to activated by November 13. I was offered only the amount I paid put towards ONE treatment. The email began with, "Due to an overwhelming response..." Overwhelming response? You posted a deal on *Groupon*! Of course there was an overwhelming response. I don't know a single person who doesn't wake up to find emails from Groupon, Living Social, Google Offers, and so on. Everyone in the Greater Boston area saw this deal, and a whole lot of us (obviously) were going to think it looked great. If a business doesn't have the staff to handle the response, they should, at the very least, count the booking of a future appointment as being before the necessary activation date. I've had this happen with other businesses I've dealt with, and they have ALL honored the Groupon as long as I made my future appointment prior to the date shown on the deal. I find the behavior of this business aggravating and rude. Had they honored my Groupon, they would have been closer to that goal 10-15% client retention rate. I'm crazy loyal like that. Instead, they'll have a bunch of people who use the deal up and then go on to the next discount. If a business can't handle the response, it shouldn't post a deal. read more

I've been here a handful of times to finish up an unfortunate purchase (Groupon package). I would grimace through the threats to charge me for missing an appointment THEY scheduled on the wrong day without my knowing (their scheduling system is pitiful and essentially non-existent). When I did get into an appointment, I had to wait - and wait - and wait. Don't dare leave else they'll threaten to charge you. I then had to sit through microdermabrasion while listening to Luann bitch openly about her other clients and how their tips were not representative of the stellar service (clearly!!!). Luann is one of the most inconsiderate people I've come across in the spa / service industry. I love to support local businesses but would greatly prefer us to have businesses that are representative of our town. This is anything but. Beware! read more

The woman i had I think her name was Lu-Ann (she was fat) and she was aweful, She did not once explain to me the procedure, Instead of feeling refreshed afterwards my face was burning from her violent motions. I would never go back and if your reading this DONT GO! They should be taken off of Groupon because no one deserves to be treated how I was, with such disrespect. I bought a groupon for microdermabrasion in the summer of 2013 and Michelle took care of me! It was amazing and she was very knowledgable. I ended up going to a few places that were closer and stopped going but my skin was never as amazing as when i had gone to Tentranove! I decided to make the longer trip and started going again just recently. Its worth the trip and everyone there is very nice! Definitely recommend them to everyone i know read more

I, too, bought the Groupon for Microdermabrasion and was appalled by the lack of customer service from the entire staff, including the owner, Luann. The space is noisy and dirty and everyone is loud. I am used to getting treatments on my face and expect a quiet, relaxing environment - especially with microdermabrasion, which is not very pleasant to begin with. For my second treatment, I arrived on time, but was unsure if I had an appointment because I had not received any confirmation from Trentanove Beauty Bar. When I walked in and asked if I was on time and did indeed have an appointment, Luann looked up at me from her computer, rolled her eyes and curtly replied, "I don't know." I did have an appointment and Luann told me I could go on back to the treatment room. In the middle of my treatment - with the door open - her daughter came into the room and the two proceeded to have a heated argument about who should have been home for Luann's other daughter who was sick. Luann also wears multiple Alex and Ani bracelets, so the entire time she is providing a treatment, they are clinking and clanking and quite frankly, very annoying. I tipped her well when I left and promised myself never to go back. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

In sum Beauty Bar in this case, is mean trashy people who are disrespectful and condescending and possibly under the influence when they perform their beauty tasks. Yes, this is a defamatory statement and I stand by it! Here's my story, I bought a Groupon for a facial peel. I entered and had "Luann" the owner service me. I called in advance and noted that I will be late due to traffic because of the snow. I was 15 minutes late and the owner Luann was not pleased! She didn't give me eye contact and just pointed to the room that I was suppose to go. Confused, I asked which room? She rolled her eyes and said the one in front of you. Like a pissy teenager she gave me a look like "Obviously." During the procedure, she left the door open as she was loudly gossiped with her customers and staff. She scrubbed my face and literally slapped me in the process and without telling me. Was that suppose to be relaxing? She didn't warn me and started to put the acid in my face and it burned. Courtesy is to tell customers, I am putting acid on your face! Fine. Whatever. As she left me in the room, with acid on my face, I heard Luann and her customers gossip. "Why do you seem in such a foul mood" someone asked Luann. She muttered something. As I exited I asked her a question about the materials used. She did not have the time of day to tell me. She basically shooed me out. Trashy and unacceptable. read more
