This place is pure magic. My boyfriend and I spent a week in Tulum and ate at so many wonderful restaurants while we were there. We felt a lot of pressure to pick somewhere really good for our last night, but we had already gone to all the places on our list/ones that had been recommended to us. On a cab ride home from a cenote, we saw the beautiful floral vines hanging off the front of Tres Galeones and immediately decided that's where we would check out for dinner. This place totally exceeded our expectations in every way. There are only three tables outside so we had to wait a few minutes, which was so worth it. The servers/hosts were instantly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was truly unparalleled--from the ivy and flowers hanging over the entire front of the restaurant and dangling above the tables to the Louis Armstrong they played throughout the night, it really was perfect. Beyond that, the food was great. We loved the ceviche tostada and the tuna tostada. The prices were great as each of these were around $2.50 usd. They also had a happy hour deal for 2 margaritas/mojitos for $5 (100 pesos), which was too good. The dim lighting inside, candles, and open windows create such a calming setting. When we asked for the check, we told Pablo how incredibly perfect they made our last night, and he told us to wait a moment and see if he could make it even better. He walked out with mezcal shots for us in tiny little tin-mug shot glasses. Truly the best way to end our magical week in Tulum. Would 100% recommend this place--definitely sit on the patio! So lovely. read more
