A flight of wines we all shared
    Ana F.

I rarely ever give 5 stars but this place is worth it to me and I will tell you why. I've been there 3 times and each time has been such a peaceful experience. The last couple of times I've enjoyed the wine flights with some salami cheese and bread and crackers that we bring to enjoy with our drinks. The owners are super nice and informative on their wines. They tell you where they grow the grapes and the flavors or each one based of the sheet they give you. We've purchased a couple of bottles of them so far based on the flights they pour for us. The view is modest but there is a lot of seating and they have live music on Sundays. So get there early for a great seating area. I love bringing new people there because of the peaceful environment.

What a lovely winery and experience in Lakeside! Specifically nestled amidst the rolling hills, Trevi felt like a world's away from San Diego. The drive up is fun as well. The winery itself is spacious and clean. The owners are so friendly and hospitable. The red wines we tried were absolutely delicious. An extremely relaxing an unpretentious experience. Highly recommended.

Mike is an incredible host who makes you feel like family the moment you arrive! Both times we've visited, we've had amazing wine flights, unforgettable conversations, and breathtaking views. Trevi Hills is an absolute gem--if you're anywhere near San Diego, you have to check it out!

Love this place! The owners are the sweetest people and really care about putting their customers first! The wine tasting flights are amazing and the owners take their time to explain each wine in detail of how they were made and where they came from. The view is breathtaking and it is very calming. I have been here 3 times and have enjoyed each time.

I was actually going here by myself but managed to invite two friends here. This place is amazing with a perfect view of the vineyard in the mountains what a beautiful place. Plus the owners are very friendly people, my friends love it here and me of course. Definitely my new place to hangout with a live music during Sunday, which is good partner while sipping and having conversation with friends. They don't have any food but they allow you to bring your own food.

$23 flight was more than enough for two people.

The service was great! I'd recommend calling to see what their hours are (just to be safe)-- they typically close at 7pm but the day we went they were going to close an hour early for a private event. The ambiance and view is amazing, it's perfect to relax while sipping on a drink, and their chairs are cushioned and comfy as well. We opted for the outdoor seating, which has plenty of shade. The $23 flight of wine was wonderful and more than enough for two people; highly recommend stopping by here if you're going on a day trip to Barona or something!

This is by far one of the best wineries in Sam Diego County. Mike and Kat and incredible hostesses, their own this business and treat everyone as family. The views and sunsets are out of this world, and the quality of the wines is superb! I became a wine club member iber a year ago, and I enjoy it so much. 1000% recommended!

This is the back of the winery itself. The owner took us on a tour and I captured this beautiful view.

There are not enough wonderful things to say about this place. The owner and his wife are absolutely fantastic, super sweet people, genuinely down to earth. The wine is literally to die for. My partner and I actually got 3 bottles gifted to us by the owner himself and two beautiful glasses. The view is immaculate. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to do a wine tasting. Will definitely be back, soon!

Read about this local winery in Lakeside in the UT earlier this year and finally got around to trying it out on. Saturday. It is a bit of a drive from central San Diego but not too bad. The setting was a nice East County type of atmosphere some rolling hills and large rocks. Scenic. The tasting room is smallish but nice out seating areas to relax and enjoy the views. Tasting of 5 wines was $21. You could also buy glasses of wine about $7.50 each. Bottle prices about $30 to $40 It was not crowded. The women who poured the tasting was friendly. Reason for the low rating is that the wines were not very good. Maybe 1 of the 5 I would have had a glass of.....our whole group had same consensus. Give this place a few more years and maybe the grapes will mature and be better. We brought a picnic and they are dog friendly....so nice. They saw they are going to have a restaurant at some point.

    Beautiful view

We had the best time visiting Trevi Hills on a Sunday! First off, they are extremely dog friendly which was a huge plus for us as we love to bring our pup along with us whenever we can. They even allowed us to bring him inside the winery with us. The service was amazing, everyone is so kind and has great recommendations! The views are gorgeous and it's such a peaceful place to sit. They also had live music on a Sunday afternoon which made for a fun experience. They don't sell food here but they do allow you to bring in your own so we grabbed a few snacks to pair with our wine on the way there. My favorite wine was their rose and my husband loved the primitivo - highly recommend!

My sister and I went here after getting our nails done to try the wine and hang out before going to dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised! Kat was so sweet and very welcoming, she really made the experience 10x better. It was a little cold but Kat walked outside with us to help us find a spot near a heater where we would be comfortable. The wine itself was also pretty good! We shared a flight then each got a glass of our favorite one (I like the Pinot noir!). Can't wait to come back when the weather is nice and they have live music going!

Amazing spot with a beautiful, cool, air conditioned indoor tasting room. Amazing scenic views from the comfy seating outside. Wines are $32 and up. Tastings are a lil over $20, but the owner will give you a taste before you buy a bottle if you ask nicely. Generous pours and amazing service. A chef is going to be there grillin and cooking up pizzas and paninis in the near future. Give them their food permit already!!! My group had a great time.

Don't make the same…read moremistake we did by assuming they'd be open! :( I agree with the Yelp review posted a month ago that their communication is lacking regarding operating hours. In retrospect, this winery also doesn't have many reviews - likely because they don't welcome walk-ins and fail to note that anywhere. Their 5-star reviews aren't recent; posted a year ago for some & over two years ago for most. Tried to go this weekend when it should've been open. Called prior to make a reservation; went straight to voicemail and no indication of actual hours. No signage about hours/whether they were open or closed, except a small, unwelcoming security-related sign noting the premises were being watched. Lesson learned: leave a voicemail and make sure someone gets back to you first before you go. Don't waste your time getting out here only to be met with a locked gate and no one around.

I was looking forward to trying the food and wine here after seeing other reviews but was not able to do so. I came here on a random Saturday afternoon to do a tasting. When I checked the website, it didn't mention anything about requiring reservations, being closed or having a private event, yet when I got there, the gate was locked and there was no signage posted. I tried calling multiple times to ask why they weren't open but no one answered. The voicemail also didn't have any message about being closed. I was very upset but instead of wasting the 30 minutes it took me to get there, I decided to go to the next closest winery which was Granite Lion Cellars Winery. Pearson may have lost a customer but I gained a new winery.

Full review: Family-owned and operated, Hillside Ranch Vineyard produces handcrafted, small-lot wines from the hills of Jamul in San Diego County. We attended their soft opening today, and it was a huge success. The vineyard offered reservations with 15-minute arrival time slots, ensuring everyone had a cozy seat upon arrival. The family who runs the vineyard personally shared the story of how it came to be and guided us through each wine we tasted--they were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. During the tasting, we sampled the Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Rosé, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Every wine was delicious--truly exceptional. Table snacks, including seasoned nuts and crackers, were also provided. After the tasting, we were given a tour of the facility, where we got to see where the wine is made and tested. A few of the ranch's horses even stopped by, which was a fun and memorable touch--we were able to pet them as well. The building itself is very clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully set up, with heaters near the outdoor seating for comfort. The vineyard and surrounding ranch are immaculately maintained and absolutely beautiful, offering photo-worthy views in every direction. There is plenty of parking, and GPS took us straight to the tasting room with no issues. Leashed dogs are welcome, and smoking is permitted in the parking lot.

It's beautiful... and that's the most appropriate comment I will type…read more My husband and I met Joseph in August of 2024 to plan our daughter's quinceanera that just took place on May 9th 2026. We went over the contract thoroughly, eventually deciding that we would bring our own vendors (taquero, DJ, photographer, baker, event decorator, and 360 photo booth), as I have known many of these people for years and have an established, trusting relationship with most of them. Joseph said that was perfectly fine, the only service that we had to use from his side was the bartender, which my husband and I understood. During this meeting we also met his assistant Patty and were told that she would also be helping us through this process, but that he was always available, and we would have his complete attention the week of and leading to the day of our daughter's celebration. Part of our contract states that we were able to bring the supplies/decor/spirits to the venue the week of the quince. So, on May 4th, my family and I filled the event room with the decorations et al, that we would be using for the following Saturday, the 9th. Every single day, Monday through Friday that week, my mom and I were at the venue, sorting through boxes, opening packages, putting the cake table pieces together, setting up the candy bar, making sure that when the day of came, everything would be organized and ready for the staff to take out to decorate. Friday afternoon (5/8) we met with Patty to clarify all of this. But first let me elaborate a bit more... My family and I had informed Joseph and Patty that we would be bringing some salads, fruit/vegetable platters, and items for a nacho bar that would need to be set up before we arrived. Joseph explained that he did not have enough staff to help with that (8 people doing various jobs, still unsure of what) and that either myself or a friend/family member would need to come and get this ready because he could not accommodate this. We were so grateful that our BAKER, who is not employed by the venue, was able to help with this since she was also arriving early to bring the desserts for the cake table. More on that in a minute. When we arrived at the venue the day of the quince, it looked beautiful, the tables looked ready, centerpieces, runners, etc. then I started noticing that there was so much more missing, and my guests were already walking into the party space. For starters, I did not see hardly any staff in the party area and Patty was unfortunately running around like a madman. She was feverishly trying to set up the luminaries and LED pillars we had brought for the garden walkway. I also noticed that the fruit/veggie/nacho bar table was not set up. I ended up rushing to the clubhouse where all of this was being stored and took everything out of the refrigerator myself. I encountered a staff member on the way back who said to me, "Oh are you the mom? Oh let me know what you need help with." My mind was absolutely boggled. Did my family and I NOT just spend the entire week here and leave detailed instructions? And then... While carrying said fruit/vegetable trays, I walked by the tables to notice that there were not any "reserved" signs placed. We had asked for two tables to be held for the immediate family. I had mentioned this to one of the staff, I believe Lily (she was very lovely) and said she would get right on it. About 10 minutes later I saw that the signs were there, but what I learned the following week was that one of the tables already had guests sitting at it and they were promptly asked to move to another table. Sigh... And then... Once my husband and I were able to catch our breath, we grabbed a quick drink. Jason was our bartender, very kind and solid drinks. While we were at the bar, Joseph came up to talk to us, telling Jason that someone got sick in the bathroom and that he had to stop serving hard alcohol for an hour. Mind you, the bar has only been open about forty-five minutes, and no one has had any shots or is intoxicated. We all disagreed with this but had to oblige. By this time, we were falling behind schedule and had to do the main entrance. Then I realized that I had not seen my daughter in almost two hours, the sun was starting to set, and we did not take any pictures with her in this beautiful space because we had to do the jobs that we had hired this venue for. In the end: No pictures with our daughter in this space that cost half our budget Staff enjoyed our taquero without checking to make sure all of our guests had eaten Saw photos of Joseph and his staff enjoying our 360 photo booth Learned that 80% of my vendors experienced an unpleasant encounter with Joseph My guests were unsatisfied with parking/golf cart availability Not enough restroom signage Reports from vendors state as of 2pm, tablecloths weren't even on the tables.
