Like the poster above, I was hit by a Trexis insured and at first everything went fine. However, when it came to the rental car it became a complete cluster. They tell you to get out of the rental and then they approve a supplement and extend the rental. However, they leave you in limbo and don't return calls. It is almost like they are trying to get you to get out of rental by scaring you that they aren't going to pay for it. After they told me to get out before a second supplement, I tried to call them once they approved the supplement. This time they didn't return my calls for 14 days, at which point they said the body shop was taking an unreasonable amount of time. They then tried to stick me with a $700 rental bill. Enterprise have been on my side and have closed it pending with a note that body shop or insurance has to pay. However, it is still in dispute and I have called BBB. All in all, I am without a car for one more week until my car is fixed. read more

A few years later had a dear walk out in front of me and even though I have full coverage and comprehensive they are ignoring my calls have used obscene language and refuse to even adjust vehicle near a month after accident. Instead of helping to eliminate (or give compensation for) the trauma of a not-my-fault accident incurred by a Trexis-insured driver, this company added to the trauma!! How? By not approving the needed repair money for a month because of their evasive excuses, not answering phone calls (or returning them) or e-mails in a timely fashion, putting me on long phone holds and then dropping the calls, forcing me to have to go through other phone numbers to reach my adjuster, refusing to pay for the extended rental car coverage due to supplemental part shipment delays (COVID problems) thus leaving me with a $600 plus bill, and not paying my alignment fee for four months. It took five months from the accident occurrence to get my repaired car back. I spent at least 40+ hours with Trexis trying to resolve my claim. Not until I filed a complaint with my state insurance commissioner did Trexis respond to the total claims due to me. The whole process has taken 10 and 1/2 months. The rental car people, repair people and the lawyer I consulted did not speak favorably about Trexis. Run from this company! You get what you pay for! read more

Worst insurance company to work with when involved with one of their insureds. They investigated this case where their driver said his car was stolen for over 2 months when there was not a stolen vehicle report ever filed. They said they were accepting liability as a courtesy (no such thing). They are unreasonable in negotiating a terrible wreck, I was hit by their insured on the freeway, witness said he was traveling at least 100 mph. This all started December 20th, 2023. My vehicle was in an accident and towed to a collision center. We had issues contacting, Trexis. From the beginning it took 13 days for them to even come out and look at the vehicle with their advisor. After that the work has been sent over to get payment and they've had to call and send multiple emails with no response to try and get payment for this work. This work completed. Tim Gardner will not respond to an e-mail, a phone call or anything over the past month and four days. The collision center still has my truck. They will not release it until full payment is made. And Tim Gardner is refusing to pay the last 1200 dollars that is due for the damage done to my truck in the collision. I do not recommend this company to anybody. this company is terrible to work with they have poor customer service and tim gardner is the worst field adjuster that i have ever ever had to try and deal with i can't even say i've dealt with them because he does not respond to read more

My vehicle was hit by an insured Trexis driver. After finally getting my car in after 2 months to a reputable shop I was told I would not receive a rental because I did not schedule the repairs to begin on a Monday or Tuesday. I dropped my car off on a Thursday when it was requested by the repair shop. I was then told my repair was estimated at 2 days and they would provide a rental car for those 2 days and if it was pushed into the next week they would not pay for the rental for Saturday and Sunday. I did not take a rental due to their lack of respect for me being the victim in the situation. Needless to say it has been a week and a half to get the repairs done due to the collision center having to provide supplements. Now that I am attempting to get ahold of them I am receiving no response. Please be aware if you have to deal with this company. Over chargers, I was able to find another insurance that offers more for $40 less just to start. To cancel the policy, agents are not even educated on all of the correct information that is needed for them to properly process your cancellation request. I submitted my cancellation request on 10/31/2022 and it did not actually go into affect until 11/7/2022. I was informed that I will not be charged another month due to submitting my request prior to my due date and yet here I am being charged and my request just being finalized less than 24 hour ago. I requested via e-mail on 11/6/2022 to be contacted by upper management which I know is Sunday and they are not open but never received a call during normal business hours, the reason of it was phone issues yesterday (11/07/2022) but it's 1:00 PM CST (11/8/2022) and I had to call in again to speak with a supervisor instead of them calling me in regards of my concern. My main issues with this company is being over charged and the lack of knowledge from their employees and the lack of customer service, instead of finding out the correct information they just tell you what you want to hear, but hey they are on top of signing you up and setting up that auto payment. read more

Unfortunately I've had to file a claim with trexis because the guy that hit my moms car was at his limit for property damage. People aren't lying this is the worst car insurance they will not call you back you hav to keep calling to get any answers or get anyone to do their job!! They emailed me a settlement amount for the car loss but the settlement papers that had to be signed showed a much less amount than what I was told. Literally the worst experience I have ever had with any company ever. Everyone was rude, you can't get ahold of anyone, and no one seems to have an ounce of human decency. I was hit by a Trexis driver on May 1st and didn't receive my settlement until June 13th. It was a month and a half of not being able to get ahold of anyone and when I did, they were not helpful and rude as could be, even the supervisor I spoke with. It took them 3 weeks to "investigate", which means it took 3 weeks for them to provide me with a rental, which they cut off the day I settled (so obviously I didn't have any money yet). They are now refusing to reimburse me and have been very rude about it. If I did not have my family to help me with rentals and spotting me money for the car, I would have been screwed. One day I called about ten times and the only way I actually got through to a human being was by saying I was an agent. I don't even know how this company exists. -1000/10 read more

Worst company I've ever had to deal with! Their insured hit me and was found 100% at fault. The agent David Hodges is just as bad. They refused to pay the last installment the Collision company needed to release my car to me. They were willing to leave me with no car and didn't care. I was informed after your car is hit it loses value. Its called diminished value. They offered me 1% of the 10,000 + in damages. I recommend anyone else that has issues with them utilize your insurance first and hire a lawyer as I've had to do. I've been dealing with this for over 5 months. read more

I have had Trexis for over a year. No claims during that time. My car was broken into and had damage and needed to be repaired immediately for work. I sent in the estimate and the bill over 1500 dollars. They sent me a check for 495 dollars, minus my 250 deductible. The explanation I got was the adjuster felt the hours billed were way to many and it should only take this long. The parts were much less to purchase then billed. I was also told they closed the case because the claims adjuster closed the case because he needed to close it because he had a review coming up and it would be a negative for him. He was rude. This company has poor customer service and will only pay what they feel the bill should be. I called over 20 body shops to look at my car and explained I had Trexis. All except two told me they had been not been paid or still trying to negotiate proper payment from them. Several told me to find a new company for insurance. Only two would look at my car. Once I got it fixed they sent me their check, but put my lien holder on it. I now have to send my bill to the lein holder with the check and proof that it's a reputable body shop. Then they will cash the check and reimburse me the 495. Horrible insurance. Asked my agent to find me a new carrier immediately. DO NOT use TREXIS... My car was hit by a driver insured by Trexis. The first issue was even getting my adjuster to pick up the phone. She was a work from home worker that somehow messed with the phone to make it automatically decline calls and leave a message that said they weren't taking calls right now. When they did finally get her to answer by directly transferring me over there was a TV loudly playing in the background and people also talking loudly. I could barely understand what they were saying so the rest of our communication was through email. Emails were full of typos and the adjuster acted ignorant and refused to answer more than one question at a time. They low balled me on my totaled vehicle that their driver hit because, and this was stated in the police report, she dropped her phone and was picking it up. They refused to give me a rental car unless I accepted their low ball offer. I gave them multiple listings to show that they were not offering nearly enough money to replace my car and they refused to even talk about it. I said I will have to go through my insurance if they won't even try to work from me and the email response I got back was "Ok, sounds good." I asked to speak with a supervisor and they refused to give me the information and just emailed me other random stuff just to show they made a response. They eventually told me they could give me "an exception" and give me $30 a day for a rental for 9 days. $30 does not get you a rental for a day where I live and I don't even live in an area where that sort of service is super expensive. Needless to say I went through my own insurance and they gave me about 20% more for my vehicle than Trexis and now are going to be trying to retrieve my deductible from them. The adjuster through my insurance said they had never even heard of Trexis. The whole process with them has been extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I feel sorry for anyone who has the misfortune of getting hit by someone insured by Trexis. That person probably only has Trexis in the first place because no other legitimate insurance would take them. read more

I have dealt with a lot of insurance companies but the Trexis is the Worst INSURANCE company ever. it has been almost a month and they still have processed the car which was totaled. My customer choose to bring his car to our shop to be checked by insurance and if they want him to fix it we do the job because he trusts us more but they do not accept to pay for tow fees and storage to my customer and he has to pay out of pocket. I do not accept my customer having Trexis insurance for their cars. I do financing the car for over 22 years and I work with a lot of insurance. I do NOT RECOMMEND Trexis. Do yourself a favor and pay a little bit more every month for an established company like state farm and avoid these cheap companies like the plague. I had never heard of Trexis until one of their clients pulled out in front of me and wrecked my car. When I went to get my car repaired it took months of searching to even find anyone willing to work with this insurance company. One car repair company even told me that Trexis was THE ONLY INSURANCE COMPANY THEY WON'T WORK WITH, which says a lot! After finally finding a company that would work with Trexis, they ended up totaling out my car. The Trexis agent I spoke with, after waiting on hold for an hour and a half (which is how long it took everytime I called them), when settling out my claim was very rude and unprofessional. They totaled my car out mid-day on Wednesday and told me I had to turn in the rental car that I was provided by Friday. I told him I would be carless and asked if he could please extend the rental out until Monday so that I could look for something over the weekend since I'm at work during the day, but was told no. After explaining that it would be impossible for me to find a car within the next 48 hours, mind you I hadn't received the money to even buy another car, he told me several times that "YOU ARE NOT OUR CUSTOMER AND WE TECHNICALLY DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING!!" I have never experienced such horrible, disrespectful customer service from a company, much less a company that was expected to take care of me since THEIR client totaled MY car. Not to mention the settlement department was supposed to call me that same day to finalize my settlement, yet here it is 24 hours later and no one has called. When on the phone with the rude agent I asked for him to transfer me to the settlement department, which he claimed he had no way of doing. When I asked for a direct number, he put me on hold for 10 minutes then came back and told me he didn't know the number. So as of tomorrow I will officially be carless and won't have my settlement money from Trexis, which I need to buy another car!! This entire experience with them has been a nightmare!
