I have lived the the Tri-Cities for about 10 years now and have had service contracts with a couple of Heating and Air Conditioning companies. Four years ago I moved to a 35 year old townhouse with a heating and air system of the same age. I knew I would need a reliable company for service so I researched quite a few local companies and got a service contract with TriCityAir. I found the price and discounts with the service contract to be good and when I had a problem I had a very progressional service technician. In July during a heat wave my whole system gave up the ghost and so I called TriCity and they were out in 3 hours to look at the system and gave me an estimate on the spot for a replacement heat pump system. Given the investment I called and got 2 other estimates from companies with a long track record in the area. Why I picked TriCityAir is the following : 1) Although not the least expensive the quote was the most comprehensive and the Sales Person took the time to completely explain it and gave me a couple of options. 2) The system included a 10 year warranty on a Trane Heat Pump system with high efficiency. This was the longest warranty of any quote a received. 3) I was offered a free room air conditioner until the installation could occur which they guaranteed the date for. This saved me $500 for not having to buy one since the daytime temperature was 100 degrees and above 4) I received a discount for being on the service program and a year of free service on the installation. The TriCity air crew was very professional - on time for the two day installation, answered all questions and were very knowledgable and extremely clean. I could tell they have had extensive training for installation of the system and took their time to make sure that the installation was optimized. What i learned - the system is only as good as the installation and if installed improperly the service life is reduced and efficiently is lowered costing more money over time by not meeting the manufacturer specifications. I did not realize how unique each installation is and how important sealing of all ducts is to performance. I feel very comfortable I made a good investment and will be taken care of by TriCity. Finally the follow-up was very well done - my sales person came back to check on my satisfaction and all inspections were done and certified by the city as required. read more

DO NOT purchase anything from Tri city air conditioning, we bought a new Carrier two ton unit after one year nearly everything went out on the unit now it quit working again, after spending over $10,000 , we obviously bought a lemon, by the way it was just serviced a week before it went out again , my wife and I are almost 70 years old and can't take the heat, we ended up buying a portable air unit from Home Depot, DO NOT deal with these people ! read more

Brian Hume was the lead contact. Brian did an excellent job explaining his proposal to replace my entire system. Two technicians (I misplaced their names, I apologize) installed a new heat pump system. They did an excellent job and were totally professional in my conversations with them. The Installation. Ugh. :/ It was, literally, sloppy ... The technicians not only made a mess of our exterior, but they also tracked mud into our nice, clean AND mopped garage. And, then, without asking, THEY helped themselves to MY brand-new ladder, as well, covering it in the same mud! NO apology. (And, NO disclosure: They just set it back up against the wall -- and covered in mud.) They also unnecessarily blocked our driveway: They could have parked on the street, or they could have pulled downstairs and parked on our driveway pad, but -- They chose to both park and justify leaving their van right in the middle of the driveway, blocking our entry and exit. They also, at the last minute, crawfished on THEIR recommendation to relocate our outdoor unit's installation from the current pad to further away from our Master Bedroom and, then, pouring an all-new concrete pad, which were BOTH included in the Scope of Work. They also claimed to have leveled our existing pad (It's still somewhat un-level ...) with 10 sacks of Quickrete. Folks, that's 800 lbs of concrete! And, I can tell you that, aside from there having been no evidence of mixing and pouring 800 lbs of concrete, there was also no equivalent of 6+ cubic feet in spoils removed and hauled-off. (That's just under 3 heaping wheel barrows ...) Plus, it's kinda hard to mix concrete without a wheelbarrow, a hoe, a water hose, etc. ;) Then, came the thermostat ... Our system included -- and we paid for -- a wireless thermostat; however, the salesperson pulled me aside and said, "Do you know what all we're gonna have to do to run that new wiring harness to your main floor? We've gotta run it from the basement to the attic and, then, back to the main floor. And, we can't run the wire between joists, because your home older and how it is framed." My reply: "Yep. We'll, it's been that way, since not only 1971, but also since you conducted the site survey." ;) Then, then, then -- They left, before the job was complete! They did not clean up. They did not balance the system. And, my "favorite": They used INTERIOR leveling pedestals for our EXTERIOR unit. That's right! I walked outside the next morning to see the EXTERNAL unit teetering on two pedestals! WTH?!?!?! When I called in with my concern, the receptionist said that they were busy and would do their best to get someone out, soon. SMH. But, here are some additional highlights from installation: * Knocked loose electrical service to flood lights. * Incorrectly installed drip pans for indoor unit. * Damaged wall when installing additional duct for Laundry Room, which was also in the original Scope of Work. We withheld final payment, until everything was addressed. But, but, but -- Pursuant to our withholding payment, the salesperson met me in our driveway, where he tersely stated, "I'm tired of people like you nickel-and-diming us!!!" So, asking you to do the job for which you've been contracted, before I issue payment, is "nickel-and-diminish" you, huh? Well, okay. :) He, then, climbed into his COMPANY truck; slammed his COMPANY truck door; and, sped away -- in his COMPANY truck. And, the company's owner NEVER ONCE apologized ... for ANY of this behavior. A more-experienced/senior technician was dispatched, later, to our home in order to address the open items. He was, admittedly, shocked by the unit's leveling job -- and the materials used. He also admitted that he knew one of our installation techs was known to be sloppy. But, he also took it upon himself to take care of the open issues. And, then, we released final payment. We recently surpassed our installation's anniversary and were nearing our obligation, here, but -- I called first thing one morning to have a technician come out and examine our unit, as we both noticed it was not cooling AND received a system alert to contact the company. Their response: They could have someone, here, in about four (4) days. My wife had a leg broken in three (3) places, and she was largely confined to our bedroom and -- The best that could have be done is to wait four (4) days in 92-degree heat. Gotcha. ;) A technician did show up the next day after a cancellation, but -- He wasn't there for very long; he didn't do anything obvious; and, he didn't share any details. The company owner appears, at least, via her attitude and actions to simply not care ... She is evasive and rarely returns calls. She had not returned my email in almost four (4) months at the time of the above incident regarding service in 92-degree weather. And, then, she kinda told me to "go push a rope," when soon after our $8,200+ installation, she declined to contribute as little as $50 to sponsor our sons' baseball team. Ours is a nice enough system, but -- The installation, support after the sale and overall experience was not worth it. read more

Purchased a brand new Trane AC unit for our home in 2021. Our unit is 3 years old and the interior blower motor stopped working. Called Tri-Cities AC and was told it would at least 2 weeks before they could come out. I am a very disheartened customer and I would not recommend purchasing anything from Tri-Cities AC because of inferior products. I do not recommend Trane !!! read more

I want to take time and acknowledge a great local company. I have used Tri-City Airconditioning company for installing new HVAC recently, and they are excellent with their service. They went above and beyond to help me and make sure I get air in my home while waiting for the new unit to be installed. I'm impressed with their customer service and in-home service calls. I highly recommend using these folks if you're looking for outstanding service and great results. I'm super happy with the service and would definitely use them in the future. bad customer service after taking pictures of the item required for the job which should be the techs job he showed up unprepared and then decided to argue with me and did not seem to care i had been with out ac for 7 days after him being called previsouly and missing the issue in the first place if i could give them less than one star i would he also told me if i didnt like i could go find a diff company read more

We started having problems with keeping the house temperature comfortable. I placed a call to Tri-City Air Conditioning and a technician was dispatched the next day to provide service. He was very professional (Nathan) and discovered the problem quickly. After reviewing the cost for repair and the age of the current unit I decided to replace it with a new HVAC. I appreciate his explaining to me what he found to enable me to make a resolution to the problem. Then Brian Hume came out and made recommendations on what was needed for our home. He was a tremendous help in helping select the product, financing and installation. NOTE: The replacement unit was installed three days later (and two weeks earlier than scheduled due to changes in their schedule). Wes, Juan and Jose came on time and completed the work in removing the old unit and installing the new one. We are thrilled with the new unit, the fast and effective service. Your team rocks! I'm a repeat customer for 2 or so years. I called at 802am 1-8-22 and the lady it was 55° in my house amd my unit was working properly. She stated she would have a technician call me back. At 9am 1-8-22 I called back spoke with a man and advised him I hadn't recieved a call back. He stated he would page a technician and have them call me back. As of 1257pm still no call back. So I reached out to another company that was willing to do the job. I will NEVER use this company again amd I will stop referring people I know to them. You guys lost a customer. read more

My initial impressions of Tri City Air Conditioning Company was very good. They installed $20K worth of equipment in our house including a replacement ten-ton unit for the downstairs and four mini-split units in each upstairs bedroom. The installation crew was excellent and work went quickly. Overall, it was a very professional operation. We had checked with other companies and none did mini-split installation. We had Tri City do it because their salesman told us that they had a lot of experience with them. Almost immediately after installation, the largest of these mini-splits started leaking and the leak destroyed various small items and dripped down to the kitchen underneath. This went on for several months until they discovered that they had installed the unit improperly. Another unit severely malfunctioned and this was supposedly caused by a leak in the exterior unit (which another company told me was also probably due to bad installation). Finally, a third unit malfunctioned. (That's now three out of four units malfunctioning!) I called Tri City to report that the unit was displaying a malfunction code. They could not tell me what the code meant but promised to send their senior tech out the next day. He showed up without having researched what the code was prior to coming to the house. He did not have proper trouble-shooting equipment or a way to check codes. He did absolutely nothing, nevertheless, still had the gall to charge us for a service call. He also let it "leak" (excuse the pun) that the company had only installed single mini-splits and never anything as large a job as we had. I reported all this to the owner. I told her that I was very frustrated with them but was willing to work something out and they could just talk to my wife who is a lot calmer about the situation than I am. LOL All we got back from the owner was a snarky, arrogant letter telling us to go get our service somewhere else. LOL Of course, no one else is very familiar with mini-splits which is why we ended up with Tri City in the first place. So now we're sitting here with $10,000 worth of sensitive, complicated equipment and have yet to find anyone to service it. I would never use Tri City again and STRONGLY . . . VERY STRONGLY . . . VERY , VERY STRONGLY . . . recommend that anyone planning to use them consider that in this case, they misrepresented their ability and are unwilling to stand by their work. I had contacted Tri-City air conditioning to look at my unit that was not producing heat. Susan said that they could have somebody come out that afternoon. I explained to her that I needed a technician to take some pictures so I could submit to my warranty company. She informed me that they do not work with warranty companies. I told her that I just needed pictures to prove that the work was done. I was willing to pay full price but she said that they were too busy to work with me. read more

We have maintenance contracts with them for our house and 2 other properties. Technicians are always prompt, knowledgeable and polite. Justin, the tech who arrived today at my daughters house, was great! They've replaced units at our house and at our rental. Comparable in price w other companies. No complaints at all!! read more

Called Tri Cities Air out to repair two of our A/C units. BOTH units stopped working again within a week. Called them to have them come back out and they weren't available for FIVE DAYS! Considering they failed to do the job correctly the first time they should have been apologetic and done what it took to get the units working, certainly within a day or two. read more
