We called Michael for a general maintenance on our HVAC unit. He is very punctual and even called us on the day of our appointment to let us know when he would be arriving. We purchased a condo in JC last year knowing the HVAC was aged and may be in need of service and wanting to do our due diligence in finding the right company for the job we stumbled upon a referral from a family friend. After reading reviews from other companies and hearing all the HVAC horror stories instantly put us in panic mode! Many sleepless nights with worry and confusion and just not sure where to go I finally texted this referral, Michael from Comfort Repair. Immediately he replied back asking how he was able to assist. I gave him the a basic description of what we were experiencing and he stated he would come out that same afternoon after working all day to inspect our equipment. Micheal texted when he was on his way and was able to locate us quickly. First impression, super courteous, very professional and knew how to make us as the consumer feel confident in how he presented himself. He quickly discovered a low reading of refrigerant in our system and proceeded to refill just enough to test. Immediately the home cooled off and remember thinking "maybe that's all it would need". Micheal stayed a while longer after testing the inside temps and everything seemed to be working. It gave us a chance to pick his brain for options for the future for a possible replacement. A while later he left and both my wife and I were feeling confident in his knowledge of heating and cooling to definitely call upon him in the future for service or repair. We both find value in the service he has provided thus far. The next day Michael texted me asking how everything was going. I regretted telling him the system stoped cooling again and asked him for quotes on replacement units. Fast forward a week later we had a hard quote in our hands with a few options to choose from depending on budget and needs. At this point our confidence level was high with our decision to use Comfort Repair due to Michaels continual, prompt communication through this whole process to nail down our choice of units. The next week we had our plan for the complete replacement of both outdoor and indoor units. From this point it was moving quickly, Michael had a plan to show up on a Thursday morning and planned to have the whole job done by Friday. After seeing how much work was going on to get the old equipment out to placing the new in I understand why it took two days! Friday came and towards the end of the day it was time to do the final test of the system. Within about an hour the 3 level home was cooling down from high 80's to 74. What a noticeable difference. It's crazy to think about all of our creature comforts and just how spoiled we truly are. Upon departing, Micheal made sure to tidy up the work area and answer any other questions we had. We now wanted to give it a couple of weeks of testing the unit to ensure everything is working as it should. We are happy to say, so far so good! Since the install, Michael has contacted us a few times to check on the system and see if there was anything he could do or answer any other questions for us. There are a few other issues not related to his install we will need his help with in the future however to sum up our experience so far with Comfort Repair, if he provides the same over the top, outstanding level of customer service, attention to detail, experience, knowledge and enthusiasm as he has shown I say it's a no brainer decision! We moved to Kingsport, Tn. one year ago. Our house had two old AC units, one worked great one didn't work at all. We called Comfort Repair and decided to get the non working unit replaced. Michael showed up on time, gave us a good price and started and finished the work in about a day. He came back the following day to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction and he prettied up some wiring and insulation around the compressor in the utility room, which was his idea, someone who takes pride in his work. He always answered our calls. He's friendly and works quietly and clean. His assistant, Lucas, was with him and also a very nice young man. After dealing with two companies that just wanted to sell an expensive furnace to us without our gas even being on . I contacted Michael and made an appointment. Michele promptly arrived at my home at the appointed time to inspect our furnace. Michael was cordial and professional and thoroughly checked our furnace over.
