My daughter called his scumbag to come look at the washer she broke at the house, 7 minutes no exaggeration, my doorbell camera records time 11:36 am to 11:43 am, 7 minutes. He collected his $150 told my daughter's bf it's not worth fixing, it's too old and at the end of its lifespan. The washing machine was built 3/8/20, I purchased it in May of 2020, too old? Better scenario he's just completely unqualified and rips people off instead of getting a real job. I called him and yes I got hot. I always get hot when someone tries to scam my daughter. His response was I don't have to talk to you. I'll just talk to your daughter. Of course he says that, because he's able to rip off a young girl not an adult. Just remember, Sam you have a young son also, I hope he gets into the same situation, but only worse. By the way the parts now that I know it's the shocks are at max $70 for a set of them. Are you sure you that Samsung is worth far more than $70. I may do a follow up after I have a real technician out next week to look at it until then, I wouldn't let this guy anywhere near an appliance. Be ready for the Attorney General's office sport. Wow where to start. My dryer was not drying my clothes. I troubleshooted and tried to take the drier apart to remove any lint. Well I was having trouble putting it back together so we called this business to help us with the problem, and to help put it back together. The first time he came, he quoted us $345 for 2 parts (that cost about $10 each) and the rest was labor. He asked me why I took the dryer apart, again I told him that our clothes were not drying and I was trying to fix the problem and didn't know if I fixed it. Due to the snow storm he couldn't come out when he originally said he could (which was perfectly fine, but there was no communication as to when he would actually come back). He came back and rudely interrupted my partner several times while she was working because he needed things immediately. He put the dryer back together, turned it on said "it works" and left. All of 15 minutes. The original problem with the dryer (that it wasn't drying clothes) was not diagnosed and still persisted after the dryer was put back together. So that is when I called him and got absolutely berated over the phone. I told him the original problem was still an issue and he said "what do you mean original problem, you called me to put your dryer back together". Obviously he does not care to listen to the customer and I truly believe part of the reason is because I'm a woman. He told me to listen to him and that I'm wrong and he was never told about the clothes not drying (even though he was told 3 times). He mentioned holding a gun to my head. He called me a b****. He called me a f***** and told me I would never get d*** (which isn't that the whole point of being a lesbian...???) It was at this point where I returned the belligerence and returned the favor of name calling. He then accused me of abusing my partner. After I hung up, he called my partner (she did not answer). I called him back to ask why he called her and he stated he wanted to speak to someone with a brain. Do not allow this man into your home, do not allow this man to service your appliances. He overcharges, doesn't listen, only cares about his own time, thinks lowly of women, and when he gets challenged, he resorts to name calling. Repeated calls to Tri-City went unreturned so I called someone else who properly diagnosed and permanently fixed the issue. Horrible experience! Our fan motor went out in our fridge and it should have lasted over 10 years. It went bad 11 months after it was replaced and we had the same problem again. We tried to call this company back and no one got back to us. We had a new guy come and fix our fridge and he said tri-city used a random part that wasn't even under warranty. My oven was not heating up to the proper temperature so I made a service call with this company. Was here less than 5 minutes all the guy did was turn on my oven stuck his hand in side couple of times and said it was the sensor cost to replace it $275. The part $96 so I asked him are you sure that the problem his response yes most of the time it is. What happen to trouble shooting to find out what is actually needs replacing. He said if that was the part they would give me credit for the part and I would then pay for the next part. I paid him the $96 service call fee which they did not earn by no means. I know I don't post much on here, but I wanted to share about an experience I had with Tri-City Appliance Repairs. The owner of this company came into my parents house in order to fix their fridge that broke during the holidays. He failed to do the job, and of course, we decided to call the company to see what could be fixed. The owner of this company was speaking to my mom and refused to give her any information about the situation and proceeded to raise his voice. Of course with me being there, I'm not going to let anyone talk to my mother the way the owner did. YES, THE OWNER. The owner's name is Sam, and he proceeded to scream at me, and continuously called me an MF'er at least 10 times (no exaggeration). He even went as far to call me a CHINESE MF'er. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and INCREDIBLY disrespectful. Cursed at his customers calling us MF'ers. Used racial slurs and encouraged me to go find him. Never felt more disrespected in my life and was hung up on multiple times. The owners name is Sam and has a lot of nerve treating his customers like this. Please feel free to help spread the word and share this post to make this company realize that it is absolutely unacceptable to be treating customers like this, let alone, using these racial slurs. OMG!! I was just hung up on! I had an appt today and waited 2.5 hours for the technician. No one showed. I had no voicemails indicating they were not coming or were running late. I finally called and it was indicated that it was my fault! The male on the phone stated "Well someone tried to call you and confirm, don't you have a missed call from us?" I stated that I had no voicemail and don't know if I had a missed call as I don't know their phone number by memory. The male on the phone actually argued that I should have known to return the call even if they did not leave a message! He stated that "People always call us back to confirm even if we don't leave a voicemail." I again told him I don't just return every missed call, especially if I don't know the number. HE ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON ME! When I tried to call back the call went straight to voicemail. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If this is any indication of how the business is run...STAY AWAY. Do not get taken in by this man!!!! I paid almost $300 for a refrigerator repair that never worked. I thought that this was a legitimate business but it's just a guy with a mobile phone who won't take calls when the service fails. I've seen reviews on other sites saying the exact issue that I have which is he claims that I have a different problem even though his repair was faulty. He claims this is not covered under the warranty that they advertise even though he caused the problem. Absolute worst service experience I have ever had. Appliance was fixed and worked one time before not working again. I called and then texted twice (as the VM message instructed for faster service), but received no response. Eventually, a week and a half later, he answered the phone only for him to ask me why I didn't let him know sooner the appliance stopped working. I am currently in the middle of a complaint with the BBB. This will surely end with me in court with a request for full compensation. I cannot stress enough: find someone else. read more

Terrible! The control panel in my refrigerator went out. He replaced it, the refrigerator worked. However, minutes after he left we discovered the interior light didn't work. He refused to come back even though he just left and stated the light had nothing to do with the control panel. After several more phone calls and refusal to return, I called another repair person who discovered the panel was not replaced properly to begin with - which cost me an extra $100. I called this company to repair my ice maker. I had called the manufacturer prior to his arrival who advised me that I most likely needed a new valve/solenoid part. This was well out of my level of diy. I suggested this to Sam when he arrived. He advised me to let HIM check this problem and make the final diagnosis, a valve was probably NOT the problem. The water supply was leaking and broken at its entrance through the wall of the freezer. He spliced in a new portion of the supply tube and left. Twenty four hours later the icemaker was not making ice. I called him and he did respond in an acceptable time frame. In less than five minutes he informed me the problem was fixed, he had insulated the supply tubing and left (no further charge}. After one month of making ice it failed again to make ice. I again called Sam who was quite defensive and informed me that there would be a service call charge. I than called another company (it was not available at the time of my first call}. They arrived ,and at once knew that I did indeed need a new valve/solenoid, and repaired it properly. The "insulation Sam had applied was a piece of bubble wrap from some available scrap. My original suggestion was made as somone unskilled in repairs of this type but as an advisement of the manufacturer. I went through considerable aggravation and wasted money. While staying with my grandkids while my daughter was out of town (Lebaono, Ohio), the refrigerator needed repaired. Super fast service call by Tri-City to repair a Samsung side by side refrigerator that was not cooling efficiently on the refrigerator side. Serviceman Samir was very knowledgable and offered a temporary fix to the faulty control board, in case I was considering purchasing a new refrigerator. I decided on the full repair because I trusted his advice and the price was very reasonable. Repair was fast and he left the area tidy. He even gave advice on an older GE refrigerator in my basement and advised me not to repair it. Also adjusted my estimate (lower$!!!) when he found that the heating element didn't need to be replaced as well. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if necessary. read more

I called Tri City out to repair our clothes dryer. Sam took the dryer apart & showed us the problem. Had to get the part & came back the next day, Put the dryer back together, ran it for about 10 seconds & said it was fixed. I did a load of laundry & started the dryer & it started making a very annoying sound--like when a water pump is starting to go out on a vehicle. When my wife got home & heard it, she said she couldn't accept that sound after spending $273.03 to have the pulley changed because the noise wasn't there before the pulley problem. I called Sam a couple hrs after he was here & told him about the noise & said he would be back on the 5th. He turned the dryer on & said the rollers need replaced. I asked, you aren't going to charge me for not checking everything before u put it back together? He said, now u r just trying to take advantage of me. I said, no, I just want the dryer to sound like it did before you took it apart. He said, we couldn't hear the rollers before because of the pulley. I told him once the pulley started making a noise--we stopped using the dryer. He started getting very loud & telling me the noise was there before he worked on it. My wife & I know it wasn't.
