I met with Dr. Green and he ordered a PET Scan. I was told they needed pre-authorization from my insurance and would contact me when it was obtained. I have called the authorization department 4 times and left a detailed message and phone number. I have NEVER received a response. This is unprofessional at best and possibly deadly at the extreme. Tri-City cardiology treats the elderly very poorly. My 83 year old father found a ride from a friend to get there and he was only a few minutes late. The staff had to see two women struggling to get him out of the care, which took a few minutes. By the time he got in there, they refused to see him. Another patient offered to give up her spot so he could be seen and they refused. All parties involved were crying by then and had to go back home. It is so hard for him to travel anywhere, we will not go back there. Changing cardiologists immediately. Stay away! read more

Over the last year the communication has gotten very bad with Tri City Cardiology. They do not alert you to appointment reminders or give you proper instructions for procedures. It's very frustrating when they don't do their job sufficiently and act like you did something wrong. read more

I really enjoyed Dr Patel. He listened and was patient. The check in process is flawed. The whole waiting room can hear your personal information. They do not return phone messages or messages on the patient portal most of the time. I had asked for a supervisor to call me back and they never did. They don't care. I take my Mom here to see Dr Villegas. He is wonderful. My Cousin also sees him But the office staff is the WORsT! Especially, the woman who checks you out (the one in Chandler). My mom and I both get anxiety EVERY time we have to go to this office . She is beyond rude and always in a bad mood. I said something to her one time bc she was so snotty to my Mom who has had several strokes . She insincerely apologized and was right back at it the next visit. I don't know why they keep her there. I also wonder how she treats elderly patients that don't have someone to with them at their visit. Stay away!!! We are looking for a new doctor now, bc of this. Stay away from this place. I went in to just check on heart palpitations. The doctor I saw was extremely rushed (maybe stayed with me for 10 minutes at most), did not want to listen to my backstory of why I came in and ordered a EKG, Echo, and heart rate monitor study. I completed the study and they would not release the medical records of my study for months after it was turned back in. They want to scam you with unnecessary appointments to bill insurance. After more than two months returning my heart rate monitor, they finally released my records after multiple phone calls and emails via their portal, but it wasn't until I threatened to report them to Arizona Medical Board for not releasing my medical records as required by HIPAA. I have never encountered such a blatantly unprofessional group and would stay far away from this place. Medical records should not be held hostage and bogus office visits just to bill insurance should not be the norm. read more

Absolutely the worst office, dr., and staff ever. Communication... ??? I have never witnessed good communication, they do not return phone calls. My first impression was good. I thought the staff was nice and the medtech may have known what she was doing. Lol All false. I tried numerous times to get in touch with Doctor Jane regarding upcoming MRI. No calls back. Multiple, multiple, attempts. Even promises that the Doctor himself (Dr jane) would call me back, 2 diff. times. What a joke! Finally i i was able to get ahold of their patient cordinator, Nicole. She seemed to care at first, just as Dr Jane did. They don't!! No return phone calls. They do not care about their patient. If so, they would have better communication skills and respond to their sick patients when they need their help. I'm a 61, disabled, and in pain. THEY DO NOT CARE!!! read more

Tri City Cardiology has top rated doctors who I believe could better serve their patients. I had the sae experience as Wally B who wrote a review on Sept. 18th, 2024. I had surgery and the instructions given to me when I went home, listed symptoms of concerns which needed a call to the doctor. A couple of days later I was just like I was before surgery. I did what was instructed, I called my doctor. I called many times leaving messages for a medical doctor to call me back, only staff would return my call...NO DOCTOR! I finally went to Urgent care where I was told they could not help me, they don't have the equipment, and they did not do the surgery. My doctor was on vacation the week after my surgery, so I knew he would not be calling me back. My surgery was June 11th, I did not see a Tri City doctor until after my doctor was back and I had to wait until the 30th. When asked how I was, I said I was not doing good and proceeded to tell him of all my calls and no one returned my call. He threw a fit stating someone did get back, showing me his computer which did show all my calls. What I pointed out was NO doctor ever got back with me. I know the doctors are excellent, I believe it is Tri City that has rules and procedures that are creating these problems and the doctors have to get the brunt of these none caring proceedures. I hope the doctors will open up their own private practice, that way they can serve their patients bettr and not be as stressed out as they are now. read more

No matter what question/issue you need addressed, Tri City's stated standard wait time is 72 hours - 9 business days! This applies to emails or voicemails. No considerations given for something that requires a more timely response! Example: I had COVID and the medication to limit symptoms must be taken within the first 4 days. After reviewing my meds wițh the pharmacist, he had a question he still wanted me to check on with my cardiologist, so I called and left the message. 7 days later I received the OK to take the med. They completely disrespected my needs and completely wasted their own time relying to something no longer relative. This is not health care. Nor is it respect and compassion for patients. It's "you fit in our box or we don't care." Customers at regular businesses expect and receive better response times than this. And this is only "healthcare," somebody's health and well-being, so of course there needs to be no priority here. Not sure what they're thinking about, but timely, respectful and compassionate patient care is not on their list. read more

Have had horrible experiences at Tri City Cardiology, last year This Cardiologist saw my wife she has had heart surgery she is young and has had low blood pressure and a slow heart rate and very irregular heart beat recently this Dr Talle prescribed her a medication that slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure! Her heart rate and blood pressure are already low we went to the pharmacy to pick up the script and they said do not take it it can unalive you with how low Your blood pressure is and heart rate! He also has made some comments last time she was there she had an irregular ekg his comment "your too young for heart stuff " like excuse me that's age discrimination! She had open heart surgery for fun or what it's highly genetic in her family then he has made notes in her chart about her say she is "non compliant to medical therapy" she has done everything they have asked except this medical that can unalive her! My Doctor and his staff are great but the gate-keepers of this organization will do anything to keep you from having access to your Doctor aside from in-person appointments. I needed to ask my Doctor a simple question and made 6 or 7 calls into them. I never received a message or phone call back. I even asked to speak to the practice manager and never received a call back. This inability to reach my Doctor via message or through their portal for 3 weeks was disappointing and created stress that impacted my health throughout the whole holiday season. read more

My husband was a patient of Tri-City for many years. When Dr. Stern was in charge it was a great practice with employees that took pride in their jobs. Unfortunately Dr. Stern has since retired. My husband was in the hospital for surgery, came out with pneumonia went back into the hospital and came home again. We went into the ACC clinic to get directions on his coumadin dose. After asking two to three times if the nurse was sure of the amount to take daily we left. Something wasn't right. We were told to come back in two weeks. Within 5 days my husband had a large hematoma on his leg and his level was at 12 instead of 3. I called the office and all I got was we're sorry. Not that yes, he should have been seen sooner rather than 2 weeks Back into the hospital with a downward spiral. Between surgery, pneumonia, and incorrect coumadin level my husband is dead. I would never think of using Tri-City. read more

My wife has AFIB and is currently a patient at Tri-City Cardiology. Talking to a person with a pulse is impossible over the phone. The staff seems nice as long as you have your insurance card and copay covered before seeing a doctor. After your visit, you are on your own for any questions you may have about your well-being. I can only assume that the majority of people are happy and don't get on Yelp to review while the bad experiences take all the review space. I have been going there for about 2 years and my doctor, Doctor Jain, is thorough, thoughtful, and he gets a whole lot done. The office is kind as can be, I never have waited more than 10 minutes, I have never had a problem getting ahold of them when I need to...this review average of 2 stars is baffling! He is uncaring and quick to dismiss any questions or concerns because he doesn't have time! I needed a procedure done and when asked what was going to transpire he dismissed my concerns and proceeded to change the subject. He rushes you in and out like cattle with absolutely no compassion or understanding for his patients needs or worries. I would not take a rabid dog to see this person (I would not even give him the title of doctor!) I had a test done and 1 week later someone called and talked to my husband to give the results. The person who called didn't know what the results were and was only reading off a paper. I have been calling for 3 days to try to get another person to talk to about the results but I just get offered that they would call me in 2 business days. What a way to run a clinic. I have had various other problems in addition to this one. Go somewhere else if you possible can. Maybe you can find a doctor's office who will answer you questions or even answer the phone! Dr. Villegas was great but the office staff and Tri City organization are just in it for the money. Tried to schedule me for 3 different days to do 3 different tests instead of allowing me to do them all on one day. First stated it was because my insurance wouldn't allow it all on one day. When I got the okay from my insurance to do it all on one day, Tri City came back and stated I needed to obtain authorization and have it faxed from my insurance that it was okay to do it in one day. My insurance then stated Tri City could just call to get authorization since they do not deal with faxing. Finally it was revealed that it is just an office policy that all the testing has to be done on different days. They also revealed they would collect my copay after each visit. So not only are they making me lose money by missing out on work so many days to do their tests because of the policy but then they are tripling up on the copays to line their pockets. Wish I would have known this before I was seen for an initial consult. Had to cancel all the procedures and will be looking for another Cardiologist now. Just had a horrible experience with Tri-City Cardiology. Called yesterday 10/25/2023 for a pre-op cardiac clearance appointment. First the person answering the phone was VERY hard to understand, way too much background noise. Was told I had an appointment today 10/26/2023 at 10:45 and to arrive at 10:20. However, when I got there, I was told, we don't have an appointment for you. Then to be told to walk around the corner to make an appointment. Again problems, I was told to sit and wait for 15 minutes before they could make the appointment. Sorry Tri-City found a better place that can see me. My surgery is put off until I can see a Cardiologist and your office is not it. read more

I do not understand all of these negative ratings! I've been to dozens of cardio Drs, over three states and have never had this kind of help; they are amazing! Dr BERKOWITZ is worth his weight in gold. Even the receptionists are so wonderful. I was leery and anxious. I've had drs tell me there is nothing wrong with me because I have a rare condition and they don't want to deal with it. From the very moment I stepped in I spoke with the most kind, personable lady! I felt comfortable before I even sat down to wait! Kind, compassionate Drs that really care, they don't tell me I'll be dead soon. I've had that happen before! I can't tell you how great this place is; there isn't enough room here. I speculate all these bad ratings are from the Covid period: less Drs, less nurses, less everything. Wow this place leaves me speechless. Dr. Le was kind and took her time during my appointment. The front staff was horrible! My name was and STILL IS spelled wrong which created problems when I went to get my lab work done. When I mentioned it to her when I checked in she acted like I was the problem and like I was interrupting her work with such petty requests. When I went to get my halter monitor they were very busy, rushed through the process!! I've never got an update on what information was discovered and to top it off they charged me $150 late fee. I live in Flagstaff and had NO IDEA the monitor had a due date!!! I literally had to drive four hours round trip to return. Got my bill today for $150 late fee. I will NEVER return to Tri-city and I would recommend going anywhere else. read more

In trying to help my 87 year old mother get thru her various heart problems, we were referred to one of the Cardiologist associated with Tri City Cardiology. Sadly, it was one of the most frustrating experiences we've had to date. We literally spent one full week making phone calls and leaving messages trying to get vital information on a test that they had set her up for. Sadly after looking at all of the reviews, it seems that everyone has gone thru that same frustrating experience. As we look for a new Cardiologist, it's disheartening to see that a great number of highly skilled Cardiologist are all affiliated with Tri City.
