    I think they are outstanding. The best care. Everyone there is very helpful. Excellent care. Dr Apolinar is the best.

I am a long-time patient and sadly have problems on almost every visit. Once I noted prescription written by nurse was not as discussed by the physician. I pointed this out to the nurse and requested a new prescription and was told to just take it as informed by Dr Shakoor but no correct prescription was written. This was fine until time passed and drug was dispensed under different generic names. Scripts are now sent electronically so I am unable to see what is actually done while in the office. This is the second time in three years that prescription refills were not submitted at all even though I discussed the problem with the physician during visit and was assured they would be submitted correctly. After calling to have unsubmitted Rx submitted, they were submitted incorrectly last year. All meds are taken one tablet per day. Two scripts were sent with three refills for twelve-month supply, one was submitted with two refills, and the last had only one refill. Made no sense. This year once again I was advised no prescriptions on file submitted. I have called and left message twice but no response. And, I am completely out of medication. In addition, when making next appointment I informed the lady at the desk that I had not been given lab orders for next visit. I was informed she would check and mail the orders to my home. The doctor always requires lab tests when I visit. Over two months later and two phone calls and I am still waiting. These examples are only for past few visits. Requested records be sent to hospital for spouse having major surgery and they were never received. When I finally walked into office to obtain, I was informed that the hospital was big and had most likely lost them. I can assure you that was not the case. I like Dr Shakoor but my blood pressure rises with every staff encounter.

I could hear him on the phone having a personal conversation about "getting together." He then came into the exam room and said that he was "catching up with a friend from college." He than began to inject a solution in o veins in my legs. The pain was so severe that I told he to stop! He did not stop and said to "hang in there, I'm almost done." I again told him to get away from me. I should have reported him. I will NEVER go back to see this so called doctor.

The room staff prepared me for the procedure saying there would be little to no pain. So Dr Ganem enters the room and sits right down, he said nothing directly to me. As he proceeded, I was in real pain as he said bud--not my name! He continued WITHOUT addressing my pain issue. (So far I had 5 knee replacements and one hip rebuilding-no pain. For AFib I had two in hospital procedures with a friendly concerned Cardiovascular Surgeon. Very Minor pain) Dr Ganem continued as I let him know it was painful with sharp stings. He said hang in there Bud! I was about to yell HANDS OFF you're done! It was over as he ran out of the room. "If you experience pain call 480-899-9430 which I did. Glad I recorded my voice mail to Joy. No return call for a day then Joy call but I wasn't available. I call her back and requested a call back. Again I recorded the message. No return call. Then I called again and said I have a problem we must discuss. No call back . So one week ago I called back again stating I have a problem and will step back from future appointments. Again no call back. All of my calls were recorded due to no call backs. I can not, will not recommend Dr Ganem for anything!

The office team is a reflection on the Dr. Unfortunately, his front desk staff are not solid. Last visit it took, I kid you not, 5 tries to get them to print out a list of my Mom's current meds. The person at the front desk wanted to hand write them when the print out was inaccurate- uh no - I want what is in your actual system and I need it to be accurate. When I asked when this would all be in the system and changes communicated to the pharmacy and my Mom's residence she said just tell your Mom to stop taking medicine X. This is front desk staff giving RX advice (not a Dr., MA or PA or RN) - AND was not what the Dr.'s order even said - there was a sequence - and my Mom has Alzheimers and is in a facility with med mgmt (which I told her) - you also don't just tell her to stop taking medicine X - it all goes through a system. Most recently, after 2 unreturned messages over 48 hrs, I just called (again) to try to get a consult about side effects my Mom is experiencing - whoever answered asked me if it was the Amlodopine? How would I know - that is why I'm calling to talk to a DOCTOR AND my Mom isn't even on Amlodopine. I like Dr. Phan but be prepared to be incredibly persistent and detail oriented (double check everything) - the front desk staff we have dealt with aren't on top of it and do not seem to be properly trained leading to an overall poor experience.
