I found a blank 2018 fob on eBay for $100 and then went shopping for a locksmith. Hard to find one that works on 2018 cars in this area. I drove over to Affordable and hoped for the best. They have all the equipment needed to replace about any key fob! They fixed it on the spot for $150.

I contacted the company to have my door lock rekeyed, but the technician damaged the lock during the service. In addition, the technician who came to fix the broken lock reported incorrect information about the repairs, and the company is now asking me to pay for a problem that resulted from the technician's work. The company initially told me that their policy is to perform work only after the customer approves the invoice. However, when they returned to address the issue, the technician asked me to sign the invoice for payment after the work had already been completed. This was not consistent with what the company had originally told me about their process, that the customer must approve the invoice before the work is performed. I do not believe I should be responsible for paying for a repair resulting from the technician's mistake, particularly when the company's own stated policy requires the invoice to be approved before work is performed. I have repeatedly asked the company to provide the approved invoice and have requested for a copy of the approved invoice but I have not received a satisfactory response. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Affordable Locks and Solutions. I expected professional service, accurate reporting, and accountability when their work resulted in damage to my lock. Horrible service.

I did contact ADT Security and found them to be just as "pricey" as Xfinity/Comcast. I was lucky to find an Independent Alarm company right here in the villages with a monthly monitoring fee of ONLY $ 27 a month. That did not include the installation fee, of course, but I felt long term it was well worth it. The name of the company is Village Alarm, 8241 SE 135th Street, Summerfield. He was kind enough to spend the time on the phone with me to give me an approximate cost for installation and how long the install would take. He was also here during the installation process today along with another gentleman, Dave. They were both extremely professional, courteous and respectful. It did not feel intrusive at all, barely even knew they were here. Please contact them if you are considering a home alarm system. They do camera installations as well. Unfortunately the person who answered the phone and tried to help was either new, inexperienced or…read morepossibly only able to provide scripted responses. I was trying to get a safe installed. The dealer only does curbside delivery( they will not put it in the house. They will deliver the safe to the installation company ie ALSS or do curbside to my home and I can arrange for ALSS to come to my location and install it when delivered. After multiple attempts to convey this to the woman answering the phone she asks where is it going to be delivered to. So I give her my address then she asks what address it's going to be installed. When both addresses were the same she said that doesn't work. So obviously an inability to communicate. After multiple attempts to rephrase the situation it became apparent she could not grasp the concept of having the safe delivered to ALSS who would then delivery and install it. I probably should've asked for someone who was better equipped, but by that point I was already frustrated. So in this instance ALSS lost my business. I loathe surveys. This was a waste of my time and a loss of revenue for ALSS. Hopefully they will provide a little better training, unless of course they don't need the business
