I went to TFD Cary office for a crown placement over an existing implant. After some x-rays and exams, the dentist did not tell me that he noticed any inflammation or felt mobility of my implant, but seemed unsure, he recommended a CBCT scan, which is not typically done after an implant, sounded like their protocol. I went ahead and paid the $287 for the scan. Two weeks later, the results came back and stated that I have bone loss, peri-implantitis, and inflammation around my implant, I then spoke to my previous periodontist about the findings, whom examined my implant over one month ago, he said that's not possible. Consequently, I sought opinions of other periodontists in the area, two periodontists examined my implant and concluded that the implant is solid, no mobility, no sign of inflammation, and plenty of bone. Furthermore, I was informed that a CBCT scan was completely unnecessary, the health of an implant is determined through clinical examination and x-rays. I'm seeking crown placement from that dental office now. What makes me upset is the fact that TFD relied solely on the findings of the CBCT scan for my treatment plan, their plan is for me to remove my implant, which other periodontists found perfectly good, undergo bone grafting and install new implant, which will cost me over $6000.00. The CBCT scans could have a margin of error, they did not bother to recommend their own periodontists verify the results of the scan by examining my implant, to see if it indeed is mobile or inflamed. I will not go to TFD again, I do not trust their expertise or opinion, I feel they were dishonest and let me down. I had spoken with a TFD office manager couple days ago, I requested the refund of $287 for my CBCT scan, which was deemed unnecessary by 3 periodontists. She told me that I had signed and agreed to the scan, I signed and paid for the scan because their dentist told me it was required in order to proceed with the crown placement. She also stands firm behind their CBCT report that it's 100% accurate. I just want to tell everyone that when you need your teeth worked on there, beware of the of unnecessary and costly procedures, not to mention painful, seek a second opinion. 8/21/20 - I have read the office manager's response, I called and let them know that I will be glad to come in and have their periodontist(s) check my implant for mobility, that shouldn't take long but a few minutes. All I ask is an honest diagnosis. I'm available next week, my crown appt is not until the following week. I think if Dr. S felt mobility on my implant during my first 1st visit in July, it might have been a good idea for him to ask another periodonist to verify his findings. 8/28/20 - I had visited TFD today to verify clinical mobility and peri-implantitis on my implant. I was seen by Dr. Barber, she told me that while she did not notice any clinical mobility, however, she's concerned that the x-rays show that I may have bone loss on one side of my implant. She said she would have ordered the same CBCT scan based on that x-ray. It seems that bone loss, mobility, and inflammation all go hand in hand, they are all signs of peri-implantitis. I did tell her that Dr. S ordered the scan due to the fact that he noticed mobility, yet she did not find that. She's upset at my bad review, I told her that I just wrote down what I had experienced. I'm still moving forward with the crown placement over my implant. read more

I had my 2 top wisdom teeth removed today by Dr. Brian Leech. He was assisted by Marina. I had one infected tooth that was partial bony (aka half in, half out) and one with a cavity in it. The whole process took around 30 minutes from start to finish. The actual removal of my teeth took under 5 minutes. It was absolutely amazing! The only pain I experienced was slight, from the novacain shots in the roof of my mouth, which Dr. Leech explained would pinch. After that, everything was painless. Marina did an awesome job explaining my treatment plan to me and made sure I didn't have any questions. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. A year or so ago I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled because I had extreme discomfort, and they got me in the same day! Dr. Leech is great! I had the most amazing Dental Hygienist (I cant remember her name) but she really took her time and listened to all my concerns. I originally came in for a cleaning but when I told her I was experiencing discomfort she made it priority, took xrays and got the Dentist in to check it out and help me understand what was going on. I think I'm done with Triangle Family Dentistry on Carpenter Fire Station Rd. It has been a week since I went for a cleaning and check up, and my teeth are still sore. The hygienist, Parise, banged instruments against my teeth while inserting and removing them and cut my lip with a scaler. One of my teeth is also cold sensitive, now. To top things off, I got home and discovered that she shattered a wisdom tooth and I'm now forced to have them surgically removed. Every time I have been there, I constantly feel like they're trying to get into my pockets and really don't give a damn. read more

This office is beautiful!!!! More serene and gorgeous than any day spa I've been to! The play area for kids is huge and immaculate, my four year old didn't want to leave. Parisa is the best! Today is the 2nd time I had my 4 yr old to this office. He played a few minutes in the kids zone (reading book, playing puzzles, and there is even a tv!). Then Parisa welcomed us and took us in. During the entire time, she was having conversations with my son, asking him his favorite food, how his New Year event went, which is his favorite color, how much does he like his school, etc. You can tell she really enjoyed working with kids. Doctor Nora Barbour is the most Patient and gentle Dentist I have ever experienced both me and my teenage children. My youngest daughter has a fear of needles and she is very patient and helps my daughter relax during her procedure. The dental hygienist Taylor is also very awesome as well and very sweet and is always smiling. They have coffee in the waiting room for parents waiting patiently for their kids and have a TV to watch as well. The Cary office of Triangle Family Dentistry is recommended highly. It is not your "typical" cold dentist office. The office atmosphere is lovely, calming and very "homey". When you first check-in the waiting room there is usually a wonderful smelling candle lit and lovely couches and chairs for a family room style atmosphere. The staff is very professional and friendly treating you like "family " and not just a number. Both Dr. Leech and Dr. Barber are professional and friendly. They have done work for my family including root canal, implant, and regular dental work. Both Dentist explained everything thoroughly before and during the procedure with the least amount of pain. I came to Triangle Family Dentistry based on a referral from an office mate and because they were one of the in-Network providers on my health plan. Though not the closest to where I live, TFD was certainly worth the drive. The new office was lovely (could use some decoration on the walls or ceiling in treatment room to distract while on back for an hour) and the staff was friendly and professional. Chelsea was my hygienist - we could not stop talking as we had so many shared interests. She put me at ease and was knowledgeable about some of my unique conditions. I will always ask for her. After moving here my parents told me they use this Dentist so I decided to give them a try. The front desk girls are extremely rude, and the hygienist if you have an end of day appointment will not see you 10mins past your appointment even though the policy is 15 mins. I waited almost 3 years before selecting a new dentist after we moved to NC. I read reviews, asked acquaintances and looked at websites before deciding on Triangle. I have not been disappointed. They have state of the art equipment and knowledgeable professionals. You are seen in a timely manner after a friendly greeting at the check in desk. They give you multiple opportunities to ask questions and are totally invested in your comfort level. This morning I had a new crown made. After check-in at 8a.m., I was greeted by the tech Taleik who was wearing the funniest pair of reindeer antlers. What a fun sense of humor. Dr. Patton was wonderful, carefully explaining each step of the procedure and even offered me the chance to watch my crown being made in house. The technology is amazing. Both Dr Patton and Taleik demonstrated a very comfortable working relationship. (Always a good sign). Now having to get a crown will never be a fun thing to do, but if my future experiences are like today's I will remain a very happy client. read more

I have been going here for 2 yrs or more. This May i had a cleaning and asked them if it is covered since i had insurance change. They said it is checked and covered and then i had to learn differently. Now they nicely blame insurance and reminding me that it is my responsibility to check with insurance and i have to pay 200 bucks. I tried working with the lady who handles the claim and say what, she was very helpful for repeating the same thing as it is my responsibility. read more
