I brought my 2008 Porsche Boxster in because the car would not crank, even after a brand new battery replacement. I discussed the situation with Mike prior and I did some research to narrow it down to what was likely. Mike was able to fit me in and although I had to wait a few hours, due to the shop being unable to replicate the problem, the clutch switch was cleaned which was one of the areas suspected. Cost out the door was $232 which was mostly the $175 diagnostic fee, followed by shop fees and tax. Waiting room was fine with coffee available and a vending machine for snacks. On the final bill, there should have been an explanation of all charges, e.g. shop fees but more importantly, a full description of what was investigated and done. They is not common with almost any service in Raleigh because everyone wants you to leave a message and get back to you on THEIR time. Well Not Triangle Imports. Lizzie is responsive, and very sweet. This helps when you're in a crunch and at someone else's mercy. She helps you to understand the timeline on the fix of your vehicle by closely communicating with the team. These guys will rip you off they literally charge you $150 for a diagnostic for your vehicle and then tell you nothings wrong with your car. then come to find out it's the timing belt which should've been evident utilizing their tactics. Screw this place and the asshole owner. read more

I wish I could rate this place lower, but it's not possible. Paid these crooks to inspect my new car. They failed to check the vented differentials for fluids WHEN PAID TO CHECK ALL FLUIDS IN THE DAMN VEHICLE and returned the car with an empty front diff. went back there for a steering leak, they recommended replacing the rack and pinion for 4500.00. Fine, did that. Dead spot in the center of the steering wheel afterwards, then the front differential blew up. They said the differential was completely empty. I was furious as they inspected the car to begin with. Pay ANOTHER almost 2000.00 to get the front differential replaced. 10 MINUTES after leaving, ESC, TPMS etc. All light up on the dash board. Had my wife take it back AFTER i did the research and found the part that was bad was a wheel speed sensor (A 20-dollar part). My wife came back with a quote for another 1000.00 to replace the AIRBAG CLOCKSPRING. This was a clear LIE, as the airbag clockspring could be completely removed from the car and all you would get is an Airbag light and it could in NO WAY trigger the errors we are getting. I'm in the process of finding a lawyer, as at this point, I'm convinced they are responsible for the front differential going out due to the full 2-inch dead spot in my steering affecting the all-wheel drive. I'm going to sue, absolute garbage. DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR WORKED ON HERE. UNTRUSTWORTHY, LIARS AND POOR SERVICE QUALITY AND BAD WORKMANSHIP. I've paid them almost 6k, and I have a car that is in WORSE shape than when I started. Unbelievable. They insist they are not responsible for the steering problem when they are the only shop that has touched this vehicle at all. That's what I get for trying to trust a mechanic to save my own time. [UPDATE] Took the car to another mechanic. When Triangle Imports did the rack and pinion they left one bolt off and another one was installed backwards on the tie rods, causing the steering problem. Shop indicated that this issue very much so may have lead to the front differential going bad quickly afterwards. Shop fixed the tie rod, changed the speed sensor and did a new alignment, all problems gone. DO NOT GO TO TRIANGLE IMPORTS IF YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY TO LITERALLY THROW AWAY. read more

I had my wife drive from Wilmington to get her Macan serviced. The first disappointment was they were not able to compete the planned service and only did an oil change. Beyond the price, which was about the same as the Porsche dealership, they didn't reset the oil change indicator. Being concerned if the oil was actually changed, I called and they assured it was changed and promised to send a reminder sticker since I couldn't reset the indicator. Unfortunately they never did what they said they would do. Thank goodness my wife found a reliable local service provider who appears to be significantly better!!! Bought a vehicle here right at the beginning of the pandemic. A few days after having it the check engine light came on. I contacted Jeff, whom up until this point had been very responsive.  I contacted again and finally the response was "oh, I thought you were just telling me".  He said what they do depends on the severity. I informed him it was the head gasket.  I never heard back. Since then the car has had issues with coils, plugs and the climate control system. The air con is out again today.  After having the vehicle a few days the shine began to fade. Apparently some chemical was used (likely AF fluid) to hide copious amounts of scratches and imperfections. I now have permanent swirls in the trim on the vehicle. I was given a carfax, which shows if a dealership looked at an issue. Not all private shops report to it. I was told their mechanic looked at it as well.  I know they won't do anything about it. I made the mistake of driving 8 hours to take delivery of the vehicle. read more

When checking it in the front desk person said I was in the system but the appointment was not there (maybe person forgot to put appointment in system or I had the wrong Thursday) A man came out and explained that my car had the worst design and there was a better then 60% chance he would tell me the whole top had to be replaced and he could try to get to it Monday if I left it. I left it for the $120 diagnostic in hopes it was an easier fix. The man's explanation was perfectly in line with what I could find on the internet and it is apparent he is very knowledgeable. 4/9/2021 9:45am Service department option 2 General voicemail box left my name, number, color of my 370z dropped off for diagnostic of top problem 4/14/2021 just before 9 AM ; called and talked to a gentleman who answered and let me know where they were in the diagnosis as soon as I gave him my name. They could get the top to raise and lower about a dozen times, but one or more of the sensors that are on the rails seems to be failing causing intermittent stoppages. He said they are at the point where they are determining if they can find the problem sensor/wiring or not, determine if they could reinforce or not. Complete top replacement may be recommended. Said it would be tomorrow and was very polite, I felt satisfied they are working on it. 4/20/2021 Writing this review and will keep updated until completion of transaction, giving 4 stars as of this post, they have been nothing but polite at every contact and the 370z top problems are the worst from my research, hoping they are able to repair for reasonable amount read more

They do not deserve even one star but I need to give at least one star to write review. I got my Jaguar work done at this place as my car was having occasional engine misfire. After doing initial diagnostics Matt informed me that it could be VVT issue so he has to open it and fix the timing which may cost ~ $400. After two days he called me and informed that it is not VVT issue but throttle-body need to be replaced which will cost additional ~ $500, I accepted for both as I wanted misfire issue to be fixed. I got the car back on next Tuesday with total bill of ~ $1200 Within two days (35 miles) of driving, misfires were back again with car running with "Restricted Performance". In the past, I had multiple times misfire issues but car was never got into RP mode. I called Matt and informed that, but he says this is a different issue and he will charge me if I take car back to him. I was surprised as how this can be a different issue, it was same issue and even situation has become worse. Matt even told me when I was taking the delivery of car that he will revisit if problem persists but now he is not standing behind his words and work. Matt was very accommodating and friendly to me when I spent over $2000 on a repair on my 750LI Bmw. When I returned for some warranty work, he got hostile and very unfriendly. He refused to do any warranty work stating that what he had done was correct and working. Even charged me another diagnostic fee. Easy to find place on Capital Blvd. They have a very nice showroom floor with some cool cars to look at and possibly buy (Acura NSX, 911 Turbo, BMW's and other cool machines). I just picked up my 2005 Toyota Highlander V6 Limited, got a great deal. Jeff is awesome and was great to deal with, no pressure and no bs. Got a nice clean, reliable car for a good price, and even got a discount on the extended warranty. They also have a service department, so you may elect to have your car serviced as well. I tried to let it go, but here is a quick note on microaggressions: When I first had my car towed to this place, the first thing that (Matt I think was his name, apparently he's the owner) said to me after answering and immediately hanging up on whoever was on the phone, "When you answer the phone and they're speaking all Spanish, you know it's bad." (& I know the above statement is accurate because I wrote it down the same day it happened) An absolutely DISGUSTING comment. ...or, perhaps he hung up on a potential client/customer ands should hire someone who's bilingual to translate. I'm Not Hispanic but I took Spanish for 10 years & my father has a master's degree in Spanish (never judge a book by its cover), and it's microagressions like these that some people have to deal with and face daily. I should have had my vehicle towed away IMMEDIATELY. .... The cashier assumed I was paying with credit and tried to charge it as such without even asking me, which didn't work, then stated "oh it's debit" .. .... Car started leaking coolant again not long after, which is why I went in the first time ... not sure what the problem was, but they fixed it the second item for free (thanks), but I have an idea of why... ... Tried to sell me a part that I likely didn't need ... The funny thing about that is they probably missed a loose timing chain which was immediately evident to EVERY SINGLE PERSON that looked at my car when I tried to sell it a short while later, costing me a lot in the sale. ... I have never felt so disrespected and humiliated in a shop ever before. My experience with this company is terrible. Booked an appointment over the phone for wheel alignment in Dec/2020 and was I was told it would take just a couple of hours. After arriving at the facility at 10am, the first thing I noticed was that that the receptionist was not wearing a mask. After my check in, I was waiting in the office area wearing a mask and in a isolate chair when I was approached by the owner of the place who was not wearing a mask. He asked me to leave the place as I could not wait for my car service inside the office as the service would take more than 5hours due to "lunch time" and he also requested that I had To leave the office due to covid situation. I understood the request to leave the office and was leaving the facility when he started saying in a rude manner that I to had to understand that we are in a pandemic situation and protocols needs to be followed. I got pissed off and started arguing with him that he and his receptionist were not wearing a mask, that I was told that the service would not take longer than 2h and the office was clear big enough to accommodate at least 4 more people. But anyway I was leaving in peace before he started being rude to me. He then yell at me to leave his facility! To be honest, Less than 10 minutes after I left, he called me back apologizing and offering me free service that I gladly rejected. Will never go back to this place. read more

The only reason they're even getting 1 star is because they delivered the car to me.. after about 4 days of convincing. I live almost 200 miles away, had to all the dealings over the phone, didn't budge on price because THEY overpaid for it at auction, had to test drive the car, then sign paperwork when they brought it to me.. huge mistake! 1. the salesman didn't show me the car at all, handed me the keys and said "go ahead." I looked the car over myself and told him i was buying it, but as long as they removed the condensation from and resealed the front headlight, he said absolutely. Well, here i am with a car with terrible condensation in the front headlight AND the passenger side door doesn't lock or open from the inside! HA! Safety hazard much? when i called the company about it, they claimed they had no idea, well you would've had you went on the test drive with your customer and not have been lazy and rude. ALSO.. please don't be so squirrelly about the NSX in your waiting area, i've seen nicer and know more about it than you do, please don't snap at people who are curious to look at the vehicle. There are not enough bad things to say about this little rinky dink automotive dealership. First off, let me start by saying the people that work here are the rudest, most crass people in the industry. Second, I would never, ever, EVER, in my life recommend anyone to shop or get there car fixed here. Did I say NEVER EVER? My experience goes beyond unpleasant and I have hesitated for two months about contacting the Better Business Bureau. My husband, best friend, and I went to look at a 2011 Acura ZDX that was on the lot (for 6 months). We drove from Greensboro to Raleigh (over 60 miles) to see this car. We also contacted Triangle Imports two days before to let them know we were headed to view the car and wanted to test drive it and we were serious buyers. We show up and the car is parked in the very back of the dealership with 10 other cars blocking it in. We go to look at it and it takes about 15 minutes before my husband is finally like I guess I'll go get someone to help us. He gets a salesman, I think his name was Jeff, to get us a key and we get inside the dirty car and start checking it out. This is where the red flags become more and more apparent. After looking over the car for about 30 minutes, I let them know there is no AC, tires are worn, car is dirty, etc. Jeff thinks I'm clearly nit picky and wrong about the AC.. Well there is no AC and he thinks to just add Frion. He lets us know he has to move these 10 other cars and bring it around back to the shop and we can test drive it after. After waiting a few minutes, he comes back up and tells us the car won't be ready for at least 45 min - 1 hour because they need to flush the AC. Jeff tells us to grab lunch and come back and he will have the car ready for us to test drive. So we go to lunch and come back about an hour later. Low and behold, we show up and the car is placed in the VERY back with all the cars placed in front of it again. In my mind, this is not what he said and shows a lack of customer service/appreciation. I go into the dealership and I asked why the car was parked again in the back after they knew we were coming back to test drive it and the owner told me because it's his dealership and he can run it any way he wants. Now, this was probably red flag number 5. I should have ran at #1, but lets face it, I wanted to drive this car. (For those who don't know, a ZDX is a cold car and there are only 6,700 made) So we drive the car and I notice it needs a lot of work, about $5K worth of work. I tell them this after the test drive and walk out and they proceeded to tell my husband to leave me in the car next time he comes. From the day I bought this car there were issues, on the way home I had no headlights. they thankfully fixed those. But there have been numerous issues with the car. Broken glove box the was rigged, I paid for the parts for this. Brake lights coming on in the middle of the night. I paid for parts and labor for these repairs. And then the car started throwing P codes. They lied to me about what the codes said even though I have my own scanner and had read the codes. I now have a car I can not been drive until another $2000 in repairs. I was not able to drive even 4,000 miles since buying it from them. Dean in service has been rude from day one and does not know the law. I could not get the parts replaced for the $400 I just spent without it being fixed, nor was there an itemized listing of the parts used, also law. Then they decided I had to pay cash to pick up the car. I left and came back and they had altered the invoice to say I did not request the parts. RUN AWAY from these guys.
