I went for a used tire line I've done several times before. The man tried to remove the lug nuts. He said 1 stud was bent and he couldn't get it off. He said he could break it and replace it. BUT he said the tire was fine. I told them it goes flat. He then said he saw a small hole. I asked if they could patch it. He said yes for $10. So that's what I did. I paid & came out. I asked if the other guy had tightened the lug nuts that he had loosened because he was now working on another car. The other guy said yes & that I was good to go. I had been driving my other vehicle but decided to drive my car for my work commute. I felt like something was wrong. My car started shaking uncontrollably. I pulled over twice on a little highway. The 3rd time, I was too scared to continue. I called a tow truck. Had it towed to my mechanic. The tow truck driver looked at it, along with my mechanic. I was missing 2 lug nuts and the others were loose. MY FREAKING TIRE WAS COMING OFF!!!!! The outcome could have been terrible. Blue Flame didn't tighten them. A tire and rim coming off on a highway could have been catastrophic. Needless to say $354 later, I got it fixed. Which could have been avoided if they would have done it right. Side glances between mechanics I saw when they got another victim to try and make me pay $25 cash to just take my tire off with a special key. I just had roadside service no one asked for a special key and they wanted me to pay it in cash not in the office. The manager I spoke to later was as helpful as a hole in a parachute. I couldn't be mow disappointed in all my life! Broke my tire pressure sensor and refused to pay to have it fixed. They told me when they broke it putting tires back on. Fellow told me to pick one up and he wouldn't charge but 5.00. Turned out the sensor is 127.00 and labor is additional 45.00. So I shopped around and found bunn Exxon would replace for 98.00. As soon as they opened I called and asked them if they had a tire. The lady on the phone said yeah but I only have one I said can you hold it I have to drive from Wendell to Raleigh. She said no problem what's your name I'll have them put it in the back and let them know 35-40 mins later I show up with the thread coming out of my tire and they just put it on the car next to me. Waste of a trip. I was a long time customer but after that I won't be back. I would rather pay $10-$15 more for someone to have what I'm looking for. Today I returned because my tire has been leaking air every single day since I got the tire prior to me getting the tire I had no leak I came back today to get my tire fixed and blue flame said it will be $20 to fix the leak in the tire, these people are only concerned about money and making a profit off of these cheap ass tires. Don't go here unless it's just for tires!! I went to get an oil change and once I got home the oil light is flashing! To myself I'm saying there is no way my oil light is on and I just got an oil change within the last hour. I check my dip stick and there is not a drop of oil on it. I put oil in the car myself and drive it back the next day & they tell me they put in a bad filter & is going to replace it.. They wasn't trying to refund me my money because they was trying to say the issue is being resolved..But if my engine would have blown from the bad filter they wouldn't have claimed that they did it..I finally got the refund once they saw I wasn't budging & they was in the wrong. I went to get service on a work truck on Tuesday today is Friday my employee tells me there's a horrible noise coming from the tire on the driver side. You'd think that a tire place could get something as simple as replacing a tire done with no problems. Unfortunately you can't make any assumptions when these places do anything to your car. Even the simplest repairs or maintenance can end up costing you more money or with a disaterous ending. I purchased a tire and had them install it. They stripped one of the wheel studs, broke one of the spokes and put the new tire on anyway without saying a word about the damage they did while replacing the tire! Irreprehensible. Popped in here for a tire that had gone flat due to a nail. A friend recommended this place for quick and inexpensive service. They certainly met those expectations. We drove in with the flat tire in the boot and our spare was already attached. They neatly and quickly patched up and pressurized the flat tire, removed and replaced my spare tire, and fixed back the patched up tire after removing the nail - all in less than 20 mins. 7/15 - My mother's Hyundai Santa Fe broke down on the side of the highway after having a supposed oil change at Blue Flame. She has always gone to Firestone every 3 months for oil changes but decided to have her last oil change with Blue Flame. Upon Blue Flame's inspection, they claimed the engine ran out of oil & refused to fix the situation after giving her the run around and not responding multiple times. They even blamed the make of the vehicle but our family has another Hyundai and 2 Kia's (which they also said had bad motors along with Hyundai's), our other vehicles have never had engine problems as we are on time with maintenance. They have caused a completely avoidable inconvenience as now she needs a new motor and they have completely washed their hands of their mistake read more

Do Not Use Them!!! I purchased two trailer tires from them and one of the tires peeled the first time I actually put it on the road. I returned to their shop to have the tire replaced since it had peeled after only 3 days and being used only once. They had put the wrong tire on my trailer and had the nerve to lecture me that it was the wrong type of tire for the trailer. Reluctantly, they replaced the tire only after I reminded them that the fault was on them and no fault of mine. Their attitudes sucked!!! The employee there replaced the tire with a tire that has 2- 5 inch cracks on the sidewall. There is absolutely no way he didn't see that the tire is damaged. I'm out of state and can't return the tire and will have to take a L on this transaction but wanted to warn others, don't use them. The place sucks and the employees lack ethics. After Blue Flame did the inspection on my Explorer earlier this week I brought the car in @ 9:30 this morning to check out an engine coolant leak. At 3 o'clock I called to get an update. After being on hold for @ 5 min. I hung up. A few minutes later I called back, Mary answered the phone & told me she was not at the service desk, "can I put you on hold?" I said I'd rather not since I was already on hold for along time. Finally a guy got on the line (Jerry?) & I asked him to update me on the repair. I went to this place on August 20, 2023 to purchase a used tire for my work SUV. Everything was going well until Hector came out and asked if I would be able to bring my vehicle back to the shop on Monday morning. I asked why - he said they weren't able to find a L wrench to remove the center cap from the custom rims. I told him to put my original tire back on and I would go else because I couldn't return on Monday. About 10mins later Hector came back out and said they found a L wrench to remove the center cap. I knew he wasn't telling the truth - I asked him to show me. He took me into the shop and began to fumble around with a regular screwdriver and never was able to show me the L wrench. Once I got home I noticed the center cap was gone. Which is weird because the center cap has 3 screws to hold the cap in place. Therefore the cap was either damaged by Hector when he removed it or wasn't assembled back correctly. Also another thing I found weird was Hector kept asking me to pay before he the tire was on. I'm assuming once I went inside to pay it give him the time he needed to sneak the broken cap back onto the rim. I contacted management Monday at 8:05am. She sent a blurry video of Hector replacing the center cap back on. But never returned my messages when I told her the center cap has 3 screws holding it in place. The conclusion is that Hector either damaged the center cap in trying to remove it or didn't assemble it correctly. I gave the company 48hrs before making this review. I haven't heard back from anyone regarding this situation. If you are looking for good customer service and honesty you may want to stay away. read more

Score! What an awesome experience! Pulled in, was asked immediately what I wanted (2 used tires for the front) and 10 minutes later I was pulling out. I stayed in my car until they were finished and walked up to the office, paid and was out like a shot! Everyone was super friendly and made several attempts to make sure I was cool. I recommend a friend go here a while back before I had even stepped foot on the property. I'll tell everyone to go here from now on. Price was better than had anticipated! Nailed it! Edit: Score! Went to leave for work today and found out I had a flat. Drove on it to the gas station for air, then drove to Blue Flame. All this time, I thought I would be late for work. AGAIN I was in and out in 10 mins. Made it to work with extra time to spare! They nailed it again! Thanks Blue Flame. Edit: Wow! Pulled up for a tire after running over a giant bolt and had to use my "get me home" tire and I was like the 10th car in line. STILL able to get in and out in less than 20 minutes. Have been using them for YEARS normally without a problem. Until yesterday when I went to get my brakes checked for some noise. Got there @ 8:30 & was told it wouldn't be any longer than 2 hours. So I decided to wait. My Jeep was not pulled in when the 2 hours were up. I went to ask how much longer would it be, I was then told there's 3 cars ahead of mine, probably a 2-3 more hours. So a total of 4-5 hours is what I should've been told from the beginning. If I were, I would've left to go somewhere else. Wasted 2 hours sitting for nothing I could've been looking for another shop to help me. Left there & of course by 10:30 every other place on a Saturday is flooded. Customer service definitely needs to improve Older woman with long hair shouldn't have said, "it won't be any longer than 2 hours" if she didn't know for sure, & the other woman acted nonchalant & like she had an attitude when I asked how long until my Jeep was pulled in. Then when I asked for my keys back she was like oh well, here you go. Like I said, been coming here for years, mainly tires. Nothing like yesterday has ever happened. Don't give out inaccurate time estimates. & when that time has passed, let the customer know, apologize for the inconvenience, take something off the bill if they wait etc. So many other bigger, corporate companies have much better customer service experience over Blue Flame. read more

Amazing work & quick service. I had low tire pressure & went to Jiffy Lube. They told me there was a nail in my tire, in a bad spot, & it would cost me $120! I went to Black's tire & auto who told me that it was in a bad spot, but could just use a patch, that Blue Flame could provide. $20 later & my tire has been all set for the last month and a half. I'm a former police officer and US Marine/ Combat Veteran. I'm a very understanding person and wouldn't be taking time out of my day to write this review if it weren't absolutely true. This is the 3rd time I've recieved poor service from this place. The cheap and defective used tires aren't worth the money you waste or the time you spend. If you care about your car, this isn't the place to go. You only go here as a last resort or in event of an emergency. They've messed my wheel alignment up twice and did not honor the loose tire warranty they guarantee. read more

This place sucks!!! Don't go unless you want to get ripped off and treated badly. I had some service done to replace my brakes. When i got back home, I found that one of the lug nuts on my wheel was missing. So i went back to the shop where I was met with a rude employee who just flat out said that he was only 24 years old and never experienced anything like that. He said that it was Broken in the first place and so they just did not bother telling me , and decided to not put the lug nut in and let me drive around in an unsafe condition. He was unbelievably rude. I understand that things happen, and even if the bolt was already broken they should have told me, especially if it was a safety issue. I would not have had a problem paying extra to get it fixed if only they had told me. So I took my business somewhere else. Hope Management fixes this horrible customer attitude problem. read more
