However, one of my filling experiences was pretty unpleasant and distressing. The doctor couldn't get the area numb. When I expressed pain when she worked on the area, she continued to add anesthesia but it wasn't working. She then kept asking me if I was nervous and appeared skeptical that I was feeling pain (as if, how could that be possible after 2-3 shots). That made me feel very dismissed. I honestly wanted to leave prior to the procedure being done. I have had probably at least a dozen fillings and never a problem with numbing. And also never anxious.... Until that moment. Finally, she added a shot into the nerve that did the trick but the process was so unpleasant and I felt so dismissed (as if I was making pain up). I've never had an experience like that for all the fillings (and root canal) that I've gotten in the past.

I was then already truly impressed by his skills, but especially by his caring attitude, his willingness to spend as much time as I needed to explain to me the how and why of the procedures that he was going to do on me. I should have then written a glowing review about the visit, but I didn't, primarily because from reading everything that had been written about him and his practice, almost all were very positive! I thought adding another one would just be redundant. Then most recently, when I was about to have crowns put on the implants, the dentist who worked on me when I was sojourning in the West Coast had noticed that the bones that had been grafted for the implants had - for lack of a better word - receded somewhat, and I had to spend money to get it fixed, money that I didn't have. I went back to Dr. Cataldo who was so kind as to do additional grafting at no charge. I thought that spoke volumes as to the kind of orthodontist he was. And lest I forget, I want to mention also that his practice is surrounded by a group of very congenial and caring staff, all very friendly, all embracing. I do appreciate the care I had received. Dr. Jason Cataldo resolved some very serious dental issues I encountered. I had a broken and…read moreinfected molar; this was a huge tooth, the biggest tooth in my mouth and it fought hard to stay rooted. I was in very rough shape and Dr. Cataldo got me in immediately and provided immediate relief. Jason meticulously removed this worn out molar piece by piece and inserted an implant for a new tooth. I just had the new tooth attached to the post and I am overwhelmed how much better my mouth and overall health have improved. Eating is again a joy, the new molar is beautiful and my mouth is perfectly balanced. And my personal appearance is greatly improved! Thank you Jason!!!

Not once was I told I was not in network or that I would have a $300+ bill for A CLEANING. I had zero work done but a cleaning and had a $300+ bill. I have a PPO insurance plan, but because they failed to tell me when I arrived that I was not in network, I did not have the chance to leave prior to my services. The manager explained to me that nobody is in network for them, but if that was the case, they still should have told me that. Instead, they said it was my responsibility to know. In the industry of customer service, a dental office should be putting their patients first and want them to feel as comfortable as possible with their care plan, and that was simply not the case at Meadowmont Dentistry. One should feel comfortable that their Doctor is doing the best for them, but clearly all they see is money and not retention. Their manager also has used words like "threatened" toward me and I am not sure in any medical office where that is considered acceptable behavior. Moral of the story, if you visit them, ensure they don't start work on you before knowing if you are in network or not, we now have paid the $300+ charge.

I tend to get pretty anxious about dental visits, but Amy, my hygienist, was so friendly and made me feel completely at ease. She was really patient and took the time to explain everything she was doing, which helped calm my nerves a lot. My only feedback would be about the cost clarity. I went in thinking I was just getting a routine cleaning, but ended up needing a deeper cleaning, which added an extra $93 to the bill. I was also told I'd need to come back in six weeks for the routine cleaning, which would be covered by my insurance. I wish I'd been made aware of this at the start so I could have been prepared for the additional charge. Aside from that, everything went really well. The staff was professional and friendly, and I'll be back for my next visit. Amy really made the whole experience much less stressful, and I'm grateful for that!

I had a January 2022 appointment with Cornerstone as a new patient, but I had never met them nor did they know me. In panic and hopeful desperation , I called for an appointment on Dec 22 and was seen on December 23. Figuring on the worse but hoping for a temporary relief, I was amazed to have the dentist tell me that it was only a deterioration of glue and he could fix me right there and then!!! And he did.
