Pharmacy counter: I like to ~~impersonally~~ get my meds quickly, efficiently, and as a convenient thing I HAVE to do periodically, as possible. I already hate having to get meds and this pharmacy has been a headache to deal with, as their service is very southern in 'we will smile and chat, but not actually do what you need us to do then commit transgressions on you by implying it was your fault and ignoring you at the counter until you interject' instead of making it a seamless and friendly process. I want it as painless as possible and this has been the most consistently unpleasant experience I've had to date with a pharmacy. I prefer Harris Teeter and others much more over what I've experienced here. Overly friendly and consistently produces something incorrect for my refills. I only use this pharmacy because it is the most convenient location. I really wanted to love them because they are local, family-owned, and the main store members are usually very kind and extremely knowledgeable. But the quality of service at Ace Triangle Pharmacy has been atrocious. They consistently make it the customer's concern to keep tabs on when to refill and how much to refill (1 vs 3 months)-- even though the patient has requested a specific amount AND gone through loops to ensure automatic refills-- how to stagger medication refills and deliver the medical card to them before refilling as a new client-- even though the doctor/insurance has sent the information, the refills have been consistently submitted as 3 month requests, and the patient has communicated (much much much more than I'd want) on how and when I'd prefer refills. It has been my worst pharmacy experience, and I only write this after being burnt more than 3 times here. I had hoped it'd get better but it's only gotten worse. In the plainest sense, I simply cannot trust this pharmacy and will go through the extended drive and work to find another pharmacy, which makes me really sad. Please beware, if you plan to use this pharmacy. The only benefits I see from this location are that they seem to use higher quality generic meds and you can text directly with the pharmacy, which I would gladly gladly trade for more consistent quality of refill service. read more

They are very unprofessional at the hardware counter. DO NOT BRING ANY A STIHL PRODUCTS HERE TO BE REPAIRED. I let them know ahead of time I have a Masonry business and these saws are very important for my business. Luckily I have 3 total but left two there to be repaired. After the long time of both of them being there only one was fixed. Took almost a month to fix my saw and never once called to communicate with me. I had to drive there and call several times to get an answer about my property. BROUGHT my item here to get fixed in mid September 2023. Didn't get it back until October 2 2023 after constant calls to them. Had to return the saw on October 5 because it would not stay on even after they told me they ran it for 15 minutes straight. Constant lied to about parts being delayed and they would call me back. Several Occasions I called and went to the store and they would say parts came that day or was coming that day. I will NEVER RECOMMEND NOR SHOP THIS DAMN STORE ever AGAIN. SO unprofessional! Unfortunately I called corporate and because this is a franchise store it's really nothing they can do. I hope the owner of this store see this and know exactly how I feel and how they made me feel as a customer. The pharmacist is super knowledgeable, the cashiers want to help you, and there's someone on staff who knows just about everything you need. Bonus, the sign out front is always so punny! In a time where good customer service is hard to find, Eli and Avery at Triangle Pharmacy really came through for my daughter. A palmetto roach got into her car and she was understandably too afraid to drive the car to the hardware store to buy traps. Eli and Avery delivered the traps to her and saved the day. She is a college student and I live in Chicago. I found Triangle Pharmacy on a google search of local hardware stores and I could not be happier. Thank you Eli and Avery! They usually have a decent but not overwhelming selection of hardware and lawn/garden items. You can usually find an associate to show you where something is or to ask a quest of ... they are very accessible. Their ACE brand of products are usually cheaper and mostly just as good as other items. If you sign up for the ACE rewards program, you can get coupons and discounts. Bonus for having free popcorn at the front for customers. We'll usually go here (or the sister location down Hwy. 54) first before hitting the big boxes. read more

I've been a loyal customer of this family-owned local business for many years but no more. I brought in my working lawnmower because its front guiding wheel had come off, and also asked for a tune-up. The mechanic called me the next day and said this mower isn't working, it has no belt. I was very surprised and said it had a belt when I brought it in because I used it last weekend to mow the lawn so I asked how that could be. Even after the wheel fell off, I mowed the rest of the lawn on 3 wheels. He said "You obviously hit a rock because the blades are bent and that's when you threw the belt." I explained this is an old mower I bought used 3 years ago and have hit many rocks... but I haven't lost a belt and this mower was working right before I dropped it off. He refused to listen and hung up on me. He was equally crusty when I came to pick up my mower. Just to make sure, I walked my whole yard, and inspected my garage. No belt. My only assumption at this point is that someone took it off and misplaced it. Customer service is usually spot on here and the people are always willing to help but I won't be back after this. I went from a working mower to a nonworking mower and all I got for it was a bunch of attitude. read more

Small for an Ace Hardware, and I think they're having an identity crisis. They still sell the True Value wares for sale (trash cans and more with the TV logo). I did stop here a few months ago looking for a Big Green Egg, but unlike other Ace Hardware stores, they don't seem to sell those here. On the other hand, they sell Terro, and that's enough to get me in the door when there are ants crawling all over my desk after the exterminators came through our office and sprayed everywhere EXCEPT along the accounting department's group of cubes. Purchased a Traeger grill on 12/24 at Triangle Ace Hardware. Looked at the floor display model and specifically asked the salesman (whom I was told was the"grill guy") if they had the grills in stock. He said they did. I purchased a Pro 22 grill, grill cover, folding shelf, and a bag of wood pellets for the grill, overall spending around $1,000 total. Was told they would assemble and deliver the grill "the middle of the week," 12/26-28. I was charged an additional delivery fee of $30, I assume because I live outside their normal delivery area. Well, the grill was delivered today (12/30), a couple of days later than promised. When my husband called mid-week to inquire about the grill delivery, he was told they were waiting for a shipment of grills to come in, and would not have the grill assembled and delivered until Saturday (today). I had specifically asked when I purchased the grill if they were in stock and was told they were. The grill was delivered today, and it is obviously the floor display model. I know this because the price stickers were still on the grill and shelf, and there was a sheet of paper with "sold" printed on it that was taped to the grill. So from what I can tell, no one at Triangle Ace Hardware was truthful with us. I gave them a star because the in-store free popcorn was good. Very disappointed with their customer service. Sad, because it seemed like a really cool store that I would return to shop at again. I'll just stick with my local hardware store from now on, since they stock Traeger supplies as well. I loooveeeee my local hardware store. They have pretty much anything you could ever want. It's like $1-2 more than Lowe's BUT you get much better customer service and it's more convenient, so it's totally worth it. (PLUS FREE POPCORN- YUM) I've stopped in here probably 2-3 times so far in the 'nesting' stage of my pregnancy because I thought it would be a really good idea to do some renovating, in addition to painting, to prepare for baby. Every time you come in here everyone is very friendly and helpful and most of these people have worked here for years. The last time I was in here was for some paint. I needed a small quart of paint for a patch job where the wall got scratched up during construction and I couldn't find the original paint can/color so I peeled about a finger nail sized piece off the wall and took it in. The guys in the paint department worked diligently for like 20 minutes to try to find me the closest match possible. You think Lowe's is going to do that? I don't... haha. I would seriously cry if this store ever closed or moved. It's been a life saver on more than one occasion when I've needed random things like nails, replacement water cut-off valves, zip ties, bird seed, etc. read more

This is a family owned business that has amazing service and an impressive inventory for being somewhat smaller than the big box stores. I have never experienced even remotely the same service at this business at another hardware store. I've come in several times with a list and there are always knowledgeable associates eager and willing to help. This makes shopping quick and easy! Yesterday they fixed our lawn mower in a matter of hours. It was a bit more expensive but I was happy to pay it. Also they have free popcorn, you can't beat that. read more

True Value might be a chain, but it at least gives you the feel of an independent local hardware store. Almost all of the people are exceedingly friendly minus a couple of older guys who are extremely condescending. This is the hardware store to visit when you need to find someone who can actually help you. I took my injured mailbox post there, in pieces, seeking advice on how to reassemble it. Instead of just directing me to the parts I needed, David went far above and beyond, using his expertise to determine the best way to put it back together. Then, he grabbed some tools and just did it. This saved me a lot of time and potential headaches, and was by far the best hardware store experience I have ever had. I can't begin to tell anyone how intelligent, careful and sensitive they have each been over the many years they have cared for my needs. I have been going to Triangle Pharmacy/Ace Hardware for about 20 years? I have never once had a bad experience. This family-owned business knows how to do it right. When I walk in the door, the pharmacist and other employees say hello and identify me by name. The pharmacists are always helpful when needed in working with the insurance companies. Chip and company will help with all other hardware questions and service. Many years ago, I went to the other big pharmacies. Always had to wait in line and they always made a mistake with my scrip! This place was a God-send when we moved into our house. We stalwartly (penny-pinchingly?) insisted on painting the whole interior of the house ourselves. Did it matter that we had never before painted a wall. No! Did we care that our predecessors had re-painted the entirety of the house before putting it on the market to make it move-in ready? Nay! Death to pastels! And so, we set forth on our task, bravely selecting colors, donning some old tee-shirts, and getting to work. Three loops on my ipod later, we found that we were out of fresh rollers, running low on tape, completely disheartened -- and with about 5 rooms to go. Triangle True Value is about a mile from our neighborhood. We did make about a million trips to Home Depot, but when we found ourselves just in need of basics, one of us shot out to TTV and picked them up. Not only did we load up on paint supplies, but also caulk, nails, and outdoor adhesive. They also have drugstore-style stuff: medicines, sundry hygiene needs, and stuff for the home like grills, detergent, and coolers. If you're feeling really brave, you can buy your paint here too -- but you have to find the base and then mix it yourself; a little too hands-on for my taste! read more

So I walk in to this Ace Hardware today around 1:30pm with my weedeater/trimmer to see if I can get the starter reel fixed. First thing the older white haired lady making keys (I include a description and time in case mgmt. can correct this for other customers) says to me when I say I need it fixed is "oh we don't work on 2 cycle engines." Well you're in luck I think to myself because as I say to her "this is a four cycle trimmer." Her instant reply then is oh....well "we don't work on trimmers, only lawnmowers." Well then I proceed to tell her the problem isn't even with the engine, its the starter reel that broke off the engine that is the problem, but no matter you really don't want me here so I'll leave. Funny thing is, last time I had this trimmer worked on was AT AN ACE HARDWARE STORE. I normally take it to the Ace Hardware off Falls of Neuse in Raleigh and they've always been able to help with fixing it. Why is the level of service different at this particular Ace? My weedeater still has the receipt tag still attached in fact from my previous Ace Hardware visit. I don't bother to mention this to her, I was so mad I left before I mentioned it. Whatever happened to customer service? I so appreciate good customer service now since it seems like a lost art. Ask a few questions and at least make a minimal effort to try and help or direct elsewhere to someone who can. Hasn't anyone seen Miracle on 34th Street? I had heard great things about this place, but unfortunately I had a bad experience when I went in the other day. They open at 8 AM, but when I arrived two minutes earlier at 7:58, the front door was open which I took to assume they had opened shop. However, instead of politely telling me they were not yet open for the business day, I received nasty remarks and eye rolls from several employees that made me rethink ever coming there again. We own a painting business and they are very conveniently located across the street from our residence, but I will not be giving them my business any time soon. read more

I much prefer this place to Lowes/Home Depot. Even though Ace is a chain, the store is family run. They're actually a bit cheaper on many of the hardware items I buy. The staff has always been helpful whenever I've come in and am looking for something in particular, but they don't hound me if I'm just looking around. Oh, and they have free popcorn :) read more

There sign is what drew me in they always have awesome sayings and catchy phrases on their sign. I started with them just using them for the store every now and then and always getting great service. I then was getting treated unprofessionally with my pharmacy elsewhere and decided to go to the Triangle Pharmacy. They are amazing. If you forget to pick something up they call. They even have a delivery spot in the parking lot if you have issues walking in. They will bring the medicine out to you. They are great and I would highly recommend! I have also seen in the past where they give flu shots. read more
