I've been there twice now. The first time I saw Nate, for a snowflake mandala on the collarbone/chest area. It was essentially an add-on to a cap sleeve of snowflakes I already have. He worked with placement, size, and made sure everything was perfect. He was also cool about doing all blue (no black outline) as the others had been done. I had a previous artist refuse to do only color because "it won't hold well" and "it will fade faster". I've had my snowflakes for 8 years and they're doing pretty good, plus I am willing to touch up as needed... I am so happy he had no concerns and was actually excited to do it! Just recently I stopped in for a conch piercing and caught Jordy while he had free time. He helped me pick out the right hoop, went over placement if I wanted larger hoops, etc. All super thorough and the shop is clean, with everyone being friendly. Bonus? It's about 2 blocks from my house! I have a large tattoo in the works and I will absolutely be going back there to get it done. read more

$20 piercings above the belt. Need I say more? The piercer is friendly, chatty, and knows his stuff. Never had any complications or been upset with placement of any of the 6 piercings I've gotten here; microdermals also available. My friend passed out after he received his tongue piercing, the staff was quick to catch him, bring him to, and offer him water- defiantly trust worthy and capable in the rare instance that something doesn't go correctly. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, not much to say for these particular tattoo artist's portfolios (too cartoon-clashy with colours and design.) Will not preform certain risky piercings, such as a tongue scoop. Overall, great for the majority of piercings you could ever want. TIP YOUR ARTISTS! read more

Today I was a little nervous about getting my nipples pierced. I haven't done anything this crazy in a while....as soon as I walked in I felt an ease wash over me as everyone was friendly and professional! Rachel greeted me with a smile and got me right in for a fitting. She made me feel as if there were no worries at all! Just a little wait later and she was ready. The experience was incredible and informative! After I can totally say they didn't even hurt!! She made sure I knew how to take care of the piercing and to come in for a follow-up! I had a great experience here! I got a nose piercing done by a guy named Jordy, and he was awesome! He reassured me that the piercing wouldn't hurt that much, and that it would be super quick. He was funny before, during, and even after, which helped calm me down too. You could also tell the place was clean from the second you walked in. I waited awhile to post this review so I could tell all was going well with my piercing. Since I followed their cleaning instructions, I havent gotten any infections. I definately would (and have) recommend this place to anyone who wants a piercing or tattoo. :) read more

After reading some of these reviews I was a little hesitant about going to Tribal Rites in Longmont. However, I am glad that I did go. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from all of the people that were working there. I had a tattoo on my wrist touched up. Nate Fritzen was amazing! He was very nice and getting the tattoo redone didn't hurt as much as I was expecting. I would recommend Nate to anyone who is thinking of getting a tattoo. Please save your money and go somewhere that the people working actually take pride in there work. I just had money stolen from me here very trashy. I expect a certain amount of trash and attitude when going into a tattoo place but this day and age it's unacceptable with so many talented people don't waste time or money here. I guess they really needed the money more then I. Christian was unprofessional drew up a sketch my 5 year old could draw. Has no talent the others might be better but I'd rather not waste anymore time or money. He is very out of his element in this field. read more

I have visited Tribal Rites in Longmont several times in the past for piercings and have always been impressed with the cleanliness and very satisfied with my piercings. This time was no different, however, Kevin went WAY beyond my expectations. I've had 30+ piercings/dermal anchors all over colorado and I have never been so impressed as I was with Kevin. I went to Tribal Rites to cover an old butterfly on my shoulder. I met and talked with Horace, I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted it to look like but I knew I wanted to incorporate something for my daughter. He was very helpful with the design and scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. While I was there getting it done time flew and I didn't have any pain. Horace is very friendly and funny, on top of that he is an AMAZING artist! I couldn't be happier with my tattoo and my experience with Horace at Tribal Rites. read more

I had such a wonderful experience today getting my first tattoo. Jesse fit me in the day I called and was happy to work with the concept I brought in. He made me feel comfortable, made sure I knew how the process would work, and when I had an intense adrenaline spike he gave me jelly beans and water. This is an amazing shop. I have recently had work done by Nate- he had transformed a old tattoo intended for my daughter which was horrific! David helped me out with a memorial tattoo for a recently deceased friend. I was just a walk in customer but he did amazing. I only had a small sketch on my phone to go off of and he took that and made the best design. We actually switched to the Longmont shop from Boulder because they people in Boulder just didn't seem to love the work like the guys in Longmont. Warm relaxed environment, but still professional. Christian got me and my friend in last minute and stayed late to finish us up.
