This place is great! Awesome selection, free delivery and the guys that work here are so nice. We have ordered Prosecco & Rose before and they always make recommendations. Definitely will continue to use them! I am a huge fan.

Thank god we found this place ...btw we went into the place searching for a restroom for my son to use .......It was the closest store open with a sign out in this little area of town! ... I love wine specifically New Zealand wines ...so I saw wine and knew we could buy something if needed ... ( but the gentleman told me not to feel pressure to buy as tasting was free!!!! ) That's correct tasting is FREE!!! Long story short the tall gentleman who greeted us was very kind and said sure my son can use it as we were in the area waiting for Ninja restaurant to open and had about 20 mins to kill and not enough time to walk 2-3 blocks to the nearest Starbucks ( which btw not all Starbucks in NYC have a restroom???!!!!) anyways back to the nice gentleman who let my son use the restroom as he was gone for a few mins we walked the shop and he took his time explaining the wines and where they were from to me ... The selection of wines is amazing here price points are all over ..from low to high ... But the most important part is the customer service of the one gentleman who is the taller one ( not the short one with glasses) hoping to call tomorrow and get his name because of him I am writing the review to praise his kindness and helpfulness for me with my kiddo and my wine tasting .. I did buy two wines I would have bought more but we were in town for the day with no more hands to carry the bottles around ! Even though other customers were in the store he made sure to finish his time explaining to me about my questions ..and this was so refreshing as many times sales persons try to juggle a few customers at once and it does not work well usually... The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because what happened at the very end while I was checking out the shorter gentleman with glasses came up to me and whispered in my ears so my kiddo could not hear that the restroom was not to be used by "public " --- ok well moms and dads now you know who to ask for in the store ! Tall dark hard gentleman vs shorty who didn't give a shit about my kid having to relive himself - What a world! Good thing we have a balance of positive and negative people living here!!

This is by far the most impressive wine place so convenient. I work nearby…read more Although there is one kind of sweet wine, I am so impressed with an endless list of dry wine. I've tried cabernet sauvignon, kahlúa(coffee rum), and romagna cagnina dolce. All of them I've come to enjoy after a meal. I would like to come back and buy one of their dry wine that I've seen. Very neatly organized and easy to access.

Do you want a convenient wine & spirits shop, but just wish it had a little more... Port Authority…read moreBus Terminal feel to it? Then you've come to the right place! There are a decent number of wine shops in the FiDi area, but this one is the 2nd closest to the largest subway hub in the city. Despite that, I've never seen the place crowded. Maybe it's because their prices ARE a little high. Or maybe it's because of their customer service. They're not exactly friendly, which goes a long way. They greet you as soon as you come in, but it's in a way that makes you feel watched or rushed. I usually ignore that and just ask them to let me browse until I have a question. That usually works. But it's too bad they aren't as assertive with pan handlers & the like. I stopped into the shop yesterday looking for a bottle of wine to pair with dinner. Shortly after I entered, a guy stumbled in off the street, asking me for money for liquor. He was talking loudly & using the N word a LOT. Did they say one word to him? No. Not until he walked up to the counter and addressed the woman there face to face, asking for booze. Even then, she wasn't as assertive with him as she's been with me over taking whatever wine she's chosen. To make matters worse, there was a male employee in the store who stood several yards away, just watching. I told this desperate beggar who was told me that HE HAD A KNIFE & had just been in a physical altercation with someone, that I had no cash. He responded that I could just put it on my credit card. The staff said nothing in response to that. I had already chosen my first wine & had placed it on the counter for purchase. But now this beggar was hanging out there. I heard the woman passively mutter something about preferring him to do his business outside. But the male employee just stood there watching. I turned to the male employee & asked, "You're OK with this?" He just shrugged. But the beggar loudly stated, "SHE'S OK WITH THIS!" and laughed. So I told the male employee, "Since you won't ask him to leave, I'll leave." I then walked out empty-handed & made my way south to Simply Wine on Liberty Street, where the worst thing that happens there might be an occasional puppy fart. It was out of my way, but so worth it. Their selection & service rock. I have worked with and around alcohol for many years, including my time as a bartender. If you can't control drunks & people begging for booze, if you can't protect or at least show concern for the safety & comfort of your paying customers, you're in the wrong business. This place won't be getting any more of mine.
