Decent selection of diamonds, but I did not feel welcome in the store. I took a recommendation from a friend to visit this jewelry to find a special 10th anniversary ring for my wife. I walked into the store at 11am in the morning to find employees washing the front door window and a couple of employees talking to each other about their families. After a minute, I was greeted and then asked my questions about what rings they offered and how to customize a ring. The dark haired female associate answered they have a large selection to fit any need, but I asked if they could blend diamonds with other stones. Never did I think asking a question would get a strange look about making a ring that suited my wife's style. Classy Hometown Store The people here are really nice. I walk in wearing shorts and a bandanna and I'm treated as nicely as the guy next to me in the $1000 suit. And oh they are so sweet to these little old octogenarians who come in looking for 10 dollar watch straps. But they also service the entire Bronco team so you know they got to have some SKILLS! But I go there to have things made generally. I buy gems and have earrings set or rings. They do nice work and their prices are very reasonable. I also have my jewelry and watches serviced there. They do appraisals as well. They are a unique old-school store that all the other mall stores and faux Jewelers are trying to be. We purchased my custom wedding band and my husbands wedding band from Trice. I absolutely LOVED working with Chandra! She was so patient, and sweet. We were in a bit of a time crunch, and she helped me so much ensuring it would be done on time. They were incredibly prompt as my engagement band is from J Feder, and was being re-created to accommodate the new band. I've had several pieces of jewelry repaired on site through them. It's been great. I wear an antique gold charm bracelet, that was recently appraised and had new charms added to it. Trice jewelers did an appraisal on a beautiful diamond necklace. Horrible review as it was a diamond they had sold to me in the past for more than they even appraised it at. Appraisal came in the lowest. One page. One picture. Paid more for it than they appraised it at! So not worth going to them! Worst experience and felt totally insulted as oh my gosh. U devalued ur own diamond. Never do business with them ever. They had no problems with charging you for not much back. One picture as if that really works and a bad picture at that! Never ever go to them again. It was like extremely low valued by a lot! Sure we think our jewel is more but this was insulting. After searching around for the perfect company to bring my moms engagement ring to be cleaned and re-sized for my fiance to propose to me, he decided he liked Trice Jewelers the best (even though we live at 80th and Federal so it's closer to other options). I have since been back to get it re-sized again (my finger is tiny), to buy my wedding band (customized to fit my engagement ring), to have links taken out of my moms bracelet (my something borrowed), to get new backs for my moms diamond earrings and to have my engagement ring cleaned super well for the wedding. My fiance and I were looking for a wood and metal engagement band for myself. We were eating at Mod Market and my fiance decided we should go by Trice. I hate jewelry stores and high pressure sales people, so was fearing the worst. I did not want to go in. When we went in, we were greeted by Ben, and he was incredibly helpful AND not pushy AT ALL. He's a really nice guy and I never felt uncomfortable around him. Frankly, I didn't really think we'd find what we were looking for at Trice, but we ended up finding EXACTLY what we wanted. My fiance and I had a custom engagement ring designed at Trice Jewelers with their manager, Jeff Lantz, leading the way. We cannot say enough good things about our positive experience with Jeff and the rest of the Trice team. They're all consummate professionals...knowledgeable, patient, not-pushy, and simply fun to interact with. Jeff asked lots of engaging questions and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants to create a relationship, not simply create a transaction. Jeff was an excellent communicator during every step of the process. He expertly guided me to choose the perfect diamond, and then he, my fiance, and I worked together to custom design the perfect engagement band that suits her personality. Each step of the way, Jeff allowed us to share opinions, guided our design process, and never once was pushy in any way. He stayed well within our budget and when the final product was delivered to us, he made sure it was 100% perfect. Bought a nice watch for my husband a while back. Not sure how an expensive watch can be such a dud but we got one!!! Any time I've ever had to get it fixed they have to send it off and it takes 4-8 weeks!!! I just went in after 8 weeks to get it and they tried to charge me double!!! I took my engagement ring in for an appraisal and was shocked when the value came in $2,000 less than my original appraisal 15 years ago. Trice's appraiser immediately came out to address my concerns. He provided valuable and relevant information which I greatly appreciated as this is not an area I have any knowledge in at all. Bruce was great! Not only did he offer to give the ring a second look once I informed him that I had additional documentation at home. He actually looked at it three times. What I loved about this experience was that Bruce was very open to continuing to have a discussion with me regarding the accuracy of the appraisal. As it turned out, the person who designed the ring over-inflated the quality of the stones (yikes, I won't share that with my husband) and so the original appraisal was higher than it should have been. Before going back to Trice for the adjusted appraisal however, I sought out a third opinion at a respected jeweler in town that concurred with the valuation of the stones from Trice. So while I had to adjust my own frame of reference based on this new information, I felt confident that the appraiser at Trice was accurate. We were able to maximize the appraisal and I feel confident that the ring is accurately valued for insurability. So often when you go back to someone and say, "Hey, I'm not sure this is right." The person gets defensive and Bruce did a wonderful job of listening to my concerns while using his expertise to honestly valuate the piece. Had the best retail experience in my life. Went in looking for a ring/ring guard for my girlfriend. Had something very specific in mined that I had not found in other jewelry stores or catalogs. Sales associate Lisa Omeara introduced herself to me and offered to help. With in just a few minutes she determined that we should look into having the piece custom made and introduced me to their designer Khan. With the barest description of what I wanted I watched my vision take for on a large screen monitor and knew instantly this what's what I had come for. Lisa was professional, knowledgeable, warm, personable under promising and over delivering in every facet of the transaction. Khan is an absolute wizard with the auto cad design software. Looking back on the process of designing and purchasing an engagement ring and an eternity band that incorporated family stones for my now wife, I could not imagine using anyone other than Trice Jewelers. While not many folks have the opportunity to work with Justin, the owner, directly during the ring process, I was lucky enough to be introduced to him through a mutual friend. Justin could have easily connected me to someone on his staff who I am sure would have been great to work with. Instead, Justin met with me each time I came into the store and helped me through each step of the process, educating me on various elements of the ring selection process and helping me build the perfect rings using our family stones. Not only did he exhibit incredible patience sitting down with members of my family throughout the process, but once I finally proposed, he met with my wife to help her resize, adjust and make sure everything was perfect. I am not much of a jewelry guy myself, but with the help of Justin, I was able to pick out the perfect men's wedding band that was subtle and sleek, which was one of the coolest parts of the process. He helped us see the entire thing through rather than forgetting about me once I bought the rings for my wife. Every time we went in we were helped immediately and everyone was incredibly nice. After what I would guess is maybe my 8th trip into Trice (having been a customer once) I think I'm calling it quits after yesterday's snub. Every time I've walked in there, busy or not, I've wandered the whole store and was never asked ONCE if I needed help. When I bought my aquamarine ring surrounded by a halo of diamonds, I had to go searching for help, and once I found it, they never cleaned the ring until I asked them to. THEN they handed me the ring without a box. I had to ask for a box to leave the store with my $900 ring. I don't know if there is a certain price point where they decide you're worth a box or what, but I found myself frustrated again. Why would I go back if the customer service is so lacking? 1) The prices aren't bad, 2) the selection is rather large. That's about all they have going for them. read more

I walked into Trice in need of a new screw back for one of my earrings. It was about 1 hour before closure on a Saturday and I counted 13 people working and 6 customers (3 pairs). I walked past several individuals and was only greeted by the security guard. I made my way all the way back to what appears to be a cashiers station to inquire for help. Yes you heard me correct, I had to ask for help in a jewelry store. I approached Nancy who acted like she was disappointed that I only needed an earring back. She was unclear in her responses to my questions and appeared to hate her job. The screw back cost me $20 which is a little higher than I have paid in the past but they cleaned my earring for free. Although I was grateful for the free cleaning, I was very disappointed in their willingness to help me or even greet me. Needless to say, I'm still on the hunt for that jewelry store I can commit to. read more

I bought my husband's wedding ring from Ben at Trice in 2011. I have been to Trice several times since then to inspect my wedding ring (which is a family ring not purchased at Trice.) The best part about this place is the jewelers are in-house and they don't ship your ring off to have it worked on somewhere else in some other state. Since they do everything on-site you may have to wait 2-3 weeks for the work to be completed. If you don't mind waiting, this place is great. I went in for a rhodium dip and a prong check recently and the service was fantastic and took a lot less time than I anticipated; I was so pleased I plan on going back again and again. read more

Recently bought a new watch and I love it. In fact that service was fantastic on the day, Ben is the guy to go to, really welcoming, very professional and (as a guy) he sold it well without the push so I walked out really happy and wanting to return. Although Ben remembered me 10 months later, when the watch required a service, and made me feel immediately valued as a customer that invested in the companies products, the overall service from other members has been seriously questionable. Firstly, they sent my watch off for repair and told me they would call me once is was back, around 2 weeks, I chased them and found that it was in fact back in the store and I could come and pick it up whenever, so I did on that very day. Once I had picked it up, 24 hours later, it still wasn't working, at all. I called in and explained and the gang (all still very professional and nice, even if they had not tested it to see if it worked before giving it back... Strange!), and they all agreed that it needed sending back again and that they would call to let me know when it would be back. 1 week later and no call, so I called them to get spoken to like I was interrupting the lady's day. I am writing this as my watch will be away for a total of almost 2 months according to the very self important sounding lady answering the phones at Trice. She did call me back to let me know this, however I have a very sour taste in my mouth after dropping almost $10k when originally purchasing from Trice. I can't put enough emphases on the fact that all the staff, in person, have been helpful and great to deal with, however I really feel that if you do have an issue and you need to bring something back, the love disappears pretty fast if you are not there face to face or its you making the effort, kind of feel like Trice isn't into me anymore but doesn't know how to break it to me. Not massively happy with the fact that my watch was not checked and it had to go back, also less than impressed when having to talk the person answering the phones chasing updates when told that I would not have to do that! Hoping to update this review when the watch returns with something more than 2 stars... Even I'm surprised at my negativity on this one, but hey, Just telling it like it is *** Updated from 2 to 3 stars as the watch is back and working perfectly, although I did have to chase them... Their in-store customer service is great and their store is pristine. HOWEVER, you are tied to the person you work with in the store. They are the ones that are supposed to follow-up and tell you when things are ready. After working with two different people there, for two different rings (engagement and wedding band), I have never received a call when I was supposed. I usually end up calling (waiting a week after I was told I would hear from them) to see if my jewelry was ready for pick-up/viewing. MY SUGGESTION TO THE STORE: Have other's in the store able to call clients if their jewelry is ready. When the client calls, ask them to help the client instead of placing them on hold for the person who originally helped them. Majority of the time, the original person doesn't remember who I am by name (or my fiancé's name) anyway. I am having to retell what I am waiting for, what it looks like, and when I was originally told it should be ready by in order for them to locate my records and answer my questions. Very frustrating. Considering how expensive the product is that we pay for, you would hope for a more enjoyable overall experience. read more

Having a background in chain store jewelry sales, I know a couple of things about jewelry and that I would rather shop local, family-owned stores. That's why I was a bit disappointed when my guy wanted to check out a chain store when we began our search for an engagement ring. I decided to give it a chance and the experience was just awkward for both of us. Luckily, a friend recommended Trice to us and suggested we ask for Justin (the owner's son). I'll never forget the day we went. Justin had no idea who we were and wasn't expecting us, but he devoted almost 2 hours to us and acted like it was the best part of his day. We found THE ring and Justin didn't bat an eye when we told him we were concerned about conflict diamonds and wanted an alternative center stone. He won both of us over with his friendly, intuitive demeanor and we will return to him when we have my fiance's wedding band made.
