When we went this past weekend, it was very busy, so we had a little wait. Not a big deal, there was a lot of sparkly things to look at. Once we were helped, we showed the jeweler a photo of our idea/inspiration on engagement ring design and although she didn't have anything in stock that was similar, she gave us a reference in Boulder that might be helpful. She also had us email the Owner with the image and offer a bit more information in case he knew of something that she didn't. I appreciated her prompt, but thorough service. I appreciate that I wasn't persuaded in another direction and my boyfriend and my time wasn't wasted. Although we have not heard back regarding our specific, unique design, we very much appreciate a little direction. Partner and I are shopping around for engagement rings, after checking out a few of the more common name stores (Brilliant Earth, Sarah O, Tiffany, etc) we were recommend Fifth Ave. We called and it was recommended we make an appointment. An appointment was made, after about a week it was time. We showed up a few minutes early and were told "We will be with you in a couple minutes" after mentioning to one gentleman our appointment was in a few minutes. Well our appointment time passes, and we've now had 3 people tell us they will be with us in a "couple minutes". After 25 minutes past our appointment time we decided to leave. Telling us to book an appointment and have us stand around for almost 30 minutes was borderline hilarious, and absolutely disrespectful of our time. I understand others may have had varying experiences, but this needs to be addressed especially with appointments. Walk in would have been a different story Edit: Busy with walk ins or not, an appointment takes priority. That is the whole point of an appointment. DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give negative stars I would. I brought in 2 necklaces each in separate bas that were mildly tangled in order to have clasps fixed. They told me don't worry about the knot we will get it out and it will be ready in a week. I get a call the day before saying they needed to order a part for clasps. Then 3 days later I get a call saying they are so tangled that I now need to buy 2 new chains for $150 each! I went and picked them up and they were 10X more tangled and in only 1 bag. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They only wanted to uncharge me into buying new chains and another place said not only will they be able to detangle the mess this place made but replace the broken clasps without drama. read more

Fifth Avenue Designs was a breath of fresh air for both my fiancé and I during the ring-buying process. We went to many many other jewelry stores in the area, and none of them were as genuine, honest, and accommodating as Rick and the team at Fifth Avenue Designs. My fiancé is very detail-oriented, and Rick probably spent 6+ different sessions working with him to find the perfect stone. While other places immediately tried to sell us rings without even seeing what a real diamond would look like in the setting, Rick shifted our focus to choosing the most important part of the ring first, the diamond, and working around that!
