Oooofff- I don't love giving 1-star reviews, but sometimes the experience is that bad. :-/ I went in Sunday afternoon to have my rings dropped off for a regular check/cleaning. Based on previous experiences, it's a quick drop-off; then I can come pick-up later. I was planning to run some nearby errands while they were cleaned, so I wouldn't have down time as much. Welp- as I walked in, I was shocked- the inner door is closed. I glanced inside- lots of people, did they close early? Then I realized I had to ring a doorbell. As I went in, the first customer service rep said "We'll be with you shortly." Granted- I know it's the holiday season, and I know it's busy. So I stood near the front door and waited; I saw another woman who appeared to be waiting as well? I dunno if it's just me, but jewelry stores can be hella intimidating and strange. I don't really "window shop" the cases, as there usually is someone walking around if I wanna see anything, then have to ask... Sooooo after 20 minutes, "shortly" was somewhat addressed. I was added to a wait list... but not really sure how many people are ahead of me? Let alone what my anticipated wait would be. UGH- I waited another 20 minutes- now 40 minutes into my trip (!!!), until someone came to service me. At NO POINT did anyone do the courtesy of saying how long it'll take (an estimate is fair- even restaurants and autobody shops do this), a "feel free to browse while you wait", or a "feel free to grab a water while you wait"- it was verrrrry strange and icy. Once I was served, the woman immediately took my rings to the back room. I was so confused- she didn't even ask for my name, profile- nothing. How'd I know she'd confirm if these are Jared's jewelry? I shouted (yes, literally shouted bc my rep was halfway thru the store so quickly)- "Can I come back in a little while when they're done cleaning?" To that, she and another coworker swore that additional paperwork would need to be done if I left, and that would "take a very long time." Cool cool- glad the staff feels they can't waste their time, but my 40 minutes before wasn't valuable.... Still without my cell phone (remember the weird door situation? ick), and now waiting for who knows how long- again, could've had an opportunity to tell the guest "this should be about X minutes"- and I'm waiting again. I came with a bag of different reasons to be there from watch repair, ring cleaning & inspections, trade in questions, a necklace repair and some possible shopping....... Grayson was amazing!!! He worked hard doing research because I didn't have everything he needed but found all of my purchases, set up all of my repairs which involved shipping an item and then helped me find a special piece (where his input proved most valuable). It looks like , according to all these complaints I see on this site about the same thing...looks like this needs to be sent to the FBI or CIA (and I am the guy to do it, and I will...for all of you who have had the same issue) it may be an organized crime issue. As I read some of the reviews...its like I had already wrote my complaint! Same issues, ordered on the 21st....got expressed shipping.....now on the 29th I contacted Jared's site and I get this... well sir express shipping means, after we processed (At this point the label was created and that was all), after we get it all together (at our sloth mode, sorry sloths someone out there is slower then you!) then after its all ready to go...then its expressed....its the 30th today....it has taken them 9 days to put a pair of earrings in a box and send them to my home...after paying 30.00 additional dollars for expressed shipping...its a scam! The oldest scam in the books...we see this on eBay and amazon daily, you see something that cost 12.00 dollars and shipping is 30.00 if you want it faster. So Jared's is no better then buying on eBay or any other site that may or may not rip you off, you are taking a huge chance on getting your paid product when you want it...you will only get the item you ordered after Jared's is comfy in sending it... this is called customer service (I have a feeling the Jared owner knows one of our old presidents personally! So bottom line...if you want to get an item from Jared's on the date you need....you must order a month in advance and it may get to you in time...and if you press the express shipping, you have just wasted your money...express shipping is a scam with Jared's. I will report this to the FBI and CIA and let them figure out if this is more of a crime then we know, but never press express shipment on a Jared's site unless you just want to give them extra money for there company parties. BBB complaint posted as well....writing FBI now. read more

Jarad's Jewelry Store I brought my wedding ring in to have it restored after a local Jewelry store in Parker made a mess out of it. Their metallurgy people working there restored it to how it looked 45 years ago. I surely was amazed at their craftsman. A few weeks later my wife brought in a custom ring with two stones that signify our two children's birth months. I went to get my watch battery replaced at another watch place they wanted to charge me $35 for a watch battery. I was driving past his Jared and pulled in. I was greeted promptly with a big hello by Kevin. I asked if they replace watch batteries he noticed the watch band and said "Oh a Raymond Weil nice watch". I inquired how much he said "No problem just come back and see us when you need some jewelry give me a few minutes I'll get your battery changed and clean you watch up it will be just a few minutes". I purchased an engagement ring from this store in April. One of the big selling points that two employees kept pushing was "three years, no interest" on purchases. I just discovered that my purchase is actually accruing interest at 14.99%. My "three years, no interest" purchase has now cost over an additional $500 in interest since April. When I called the credit support line, I was basically told that they just took over Jared's accounts and wouldnt help, but I could go back to the store and talk to someone there if I wanted. Absolutely useless in attempting to find out what happened in any way. I was also told my monthly payment would be $40, which seemed too good to be true. It was as my minimum payment is 6x the amount I was told. Beware of bait and switch sales if you make purchases here. You'll definitely be told one thing then later discover a much costlier truth. read more

I took a solitaire diamond ring in for sizing. They recommended that I replace the prong setting. When I picked the ring up, I asked for the gold that was cut out in the sizing. I was told there was none, it was just dust. I completely forgot about the old prongs they replaced. They kept the old setting they replaced, that is gold and should have been given to me. I've had jewelry repaired at other jewelers and have always been given any gold cut out or replaced. I'm not impressed with these practices at all or the fact they stole my replaced setting. read more

This was the first stop for E and I in the Great Ring Search of '09. This is probably not where my ring will come from, seeing as how these rings would be hard to afford with his salary, but it certainly gave him some ideas...I hope :) Our first sales person was polite in that way that all sales people all, but certainly not personable or dedicated to helping us. She sized me (I'm a 6.5! Now if only I can get my waist to match...), gave me a band to try on, and then abandoned us. That was when our second sales person attached himself to us. He was much more attentive and used our names, even though he had to write them down. But he pulled out every band I wanted to try on, found a diamond that was about what E was considering, and didn't hesitate to put the diamond in the band so I could see what they looked like together. I loved it. Having never been a jewelry person, I had lots of fun being a girl and trying on pretty shiny things. I think that E freaked out, though. Not that I blame him. Talking about getting engaged is one thing, but seeing your girlfriend actually trying on rings with rocks that cost two months salary is something completely different. So I liked Jared. They were pricey, but they had a very large selection. Our sales person was pushy enough that he probably convinces a lot of people, but not so pushy that he pissed us off. Always a plus. I hope I get my ring from here - I found the perfect one :) But even if I don't, I had a positive experience and gave E some ideas. And I would probably go back to buy some other jewelry too. Bottom-line up front: Absolutely amazing experience for people who like to get input without a greedy salesperson attached. Honestly, I was extremely skeptical about getting an engagement ring through a chain store. However, the customer service was unimaginably great! Why? Because I never ever felt pressured to purchase. At all. I was upfront with the salespeople about what I wanted to spend and that I wanted to see everything in a certain style up to a certain price (total, to include tax, service plan, appraisal, and mounting fee). The lady (Susan) who helped me never pressured me to go beyond that, and when I saw something that I thought was nice but that she hadn't gotten out, she pulled it out, was candid that it was above what I wanted to stick with budget-wise, and YET didn't try to pressure me at all to go up to it. I absolutely hate the whole 'sales' "experience" beyond words and was so relieved to not get any of that here. I asked her to give me the straight scoop and I got it (or at least as much as you can when dealing with people on commission). I should mention I already had the stone from my girlfriend's grandmother, and they were able to set it wonderfully in a few hours. So, I can't comment if you need a stone AND band. But I really learned a lot with absolutely no pressure. I felt like I knew I wanted to spend X on Y style and did not want a sales pitch. The staff at Jared really want you as a customer for life and they prove it by working with you where you are now to keep you coming back. And they nailed it!!! They helped me through an experience I initially found daunting and nerve-racking, and will continue to get my business down the road as a result of their compassion, understanding, and eagerness to help! read more

The service is great. They always ask you if they can give you a bottle of water or cappucino. They've got a pretty good selection of about everything. I went in to get my wedding band or at least look for one before shopping around. I got some ideas and figured I should do my due diligence. I looked at 4 other jewelery stores and no other place had anything close to what I was looking for. The prices were alot higher at other places as well. When it came time to make the final selection of the ring, there was no where else to go than here. They just had a better selection and helped me get exactly what I wanted. We also got an inexpensive birthday present for around $50 as well. Other than loose diamonds and service plans, pretty much everything is well priced. This is now my first stop when looking for jewelry. This was our SECOND stop when looking for my engagement ring. We went to Ben Bridge first and were absolutely blown away by the prices (even with a giant sale going on) and the pushy sales people. From the moment we walked in, we felt at easy at Jared. The nice woman that helped us was wonderful. She took so much time, letting me try on band after band until we came up with the perfect one. She even showed me a cool way to pick between the two I couldn't make the decision between. The ring I ended up with is so blingy. It is PERFECT and I've never seen another one like it. I am giving it 2 stars simply because I love my ring, however this store and its employees deserves a lot less than that. My fiance purchased my ring in September, lets just say it was obvious the sales lady wasn't motivated but it seemed like she thought we weren't going to purchase anything... we did and in cash and by the end the whole attitude changed. Hate to think it was a racial thing but... it definitely seemed like that was the case. I did not wear the ring as my fiance hadn't technically proposed yet, December comes and my fiance takes the ring to get cleaned before proposing. Lots of lose diamonds and other things wrong.... leaved it there to get repaired ( I had not worn the ring since purchased) When he goes to pick it up right before getting on a plane to propose they could not find the ring... Seriously! March comes.... I take it to get it cleaned... same thing lose diamonds... many of them. I should add I work from a laptop at home... no hard labor or being rough with the ring on to be causing these types of issues. I pick up the ring... take it home... notice they gave me back the ring with a diamond that looks to be a different color. I should add... this is not an inexpensive ring... I take it again this week ( now June) because there is a diamond noticeably about to fall... and a different color diamond. I show it to the guy and he definitely noticed the color difference in the diamonds and the fact that yet another diamond was about to fall. I go to pick up the ring today... THE RING LOOKS WORSE THAN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. In addition to that as I am expressing my frustration every employee is looking at me like Im insane or like I am complaining over $200... The manager very rudely grabs the ring and takes it to get cleaned. Comes back and tells me to look at the ring outside... I do , the ring is better but still not like it should or what we paid for... he says have a good day and walks back inside. My wife bought me a watch for my Birthday, I wore it for about an hour and didn't like it. I went in to exchange it and they said I scratched it. I couldn't see the scratch, and wouldn't know if it was scratched from my naked eye. The manager told me they couldn't take it back. It's over a $5k watch, and I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in the past and have never had to try to return anything. Now that I have and found out they are just not a reputable company, I just won't go back. To me, it was really an inexpensive lesson for me, so not that big of a deal. This location went above and beyond my expectations. I bought a watch there 3 years ago and paid an extra 200 for there warranty. I went to change in my watch for warranty and the manufacturer would only fix my band and not the face itself. The manager and I talked I told him I would never of bought the warranty if it was only a band warranty. He surprised me and ordered me a brand new watch.
