This is a wonderful establishment run by good people who have been there for years. We live in town and eat here for lunch fairly regularly. The food and service is good and the prices are fair, far less expensive than other places in town. Highly recommended for any meal. read more

I'm really not one to complain ever but this place is a definite "hole in the wall". Greasy, sticky, gross. I ordered a smash burger that gave me instant diarrhea for 8 hours. My wife and son ordered nachos. Was told they're all out of nacho chips even when we had the waitress ask what's on the nachos to the cook. So they both changed their order to grilled cheese. When they got the grilled cheese it was a piece of burnt BLACK toast with melted cheese. The only "decent" plate we got was a pulled pork sandwich for my daughter. And to think, all this for $60! read more

Greatest place to get breakfast outside of Clayton New York. They have a wonderful staff that provides a generous helping of eggs, toast, meats, and home fries. You will not go hungry and everything is reasonably priced. Get this they even have a great lunch! 10/10 would recommend and come again read more

On our way home we stopped here for breakfast. Very short 5 minute wait for table....we were offered the counter and took it. I personally love sitting at the counter. Garbage omelette was a risk...ya never know...was full of broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, ham, sausage and cheese. Homemade toast was fantastic. It's a diner. It's not New Jersey. The menu is not 15 pages. There is no smokers fish bowel although that's probably not a thing anymore. It's good. It's a real diner. Sometimes you order an extra egg and your dining partner gets it. But. It's good. Breakfast must. Lunch is good too. Chowder not bad. Fish fry good. Solid place to eat when here. Our group decided we would be here more often next time we visit. Get the house made cinnamon bun. read more

I'm so disappointed to say this was the most awful food I've had in a long time. I am from rochester and was super happy to find a place that had garbage plates. Unfortunately my burger was raw in the middle. My homefrys are so burnt and black I can't even eat them they are hard as a rock and overall this was just the worst expirence ever. I will not go back. We passed through on a road trip back home, and it was a nice lunch spot and family friendly. Off the beaten path, but the food was good, and I concur that the garbage plate was great (I had a hot dog, meat sauce, and some macaroni salad). The place was clean and the service was friendly and polite to out of towners. Would definitely recommend. Tiny but clean bathroom. read more

Cool atmosphere. Very cozy and local feeling. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I however, got the house recommended turkey sandwich, and wasn't exactly impressed. It literally was just dry shredded turkey between two slices of bread. No sauces or anything. Not the best. Also, kitchen staff was awkwardly yelling at one another. But, it was a good place. My wife and her mom stopped in on Saturday morning over the 4th of July weekend. My wife is Ukrainian and speaks with an accent but is an American citizen her mom was visiting from the Ukraine and speaks no English . The guy who gave us our menus was miserable barely grumbled a greeting. The waitress wasn't very attentive to our table and seemed generally turned off by tourists and foreigners, never got a refill on coffee the food I had was good but the rest was sub par. When I went to pay it was cash only no signage on the table or door letting people know this ,it's rare in 2019 to run into this. We tipped our waitress and were polite leaving. We felt it was the accents that the treatment wasn't good. I would not recommend this place. Look I get the natives hate the tourists but our money is green and we work really hard to take this vacation read more

A family diner that is literally that..a diner! Complete with stools at the counter! So cool! They only accept cash or cheques, have a dining room, and the meals are home cooked! We had Dolly as our server. Excellent service!! A little hidden gem for sure! Was pretty busy when we stopped in! Easy on easy off. Ashamed it wasn't busier. So please go here and support the flying spatula so it stays! First off there is a lot of choices. Everything sounded good. Kiddo got a blueberry muffin. It came hot and delicious. He also got a slice of French toast. Both very good. Wife got the chicken tendies and fries. (She panicked and wasn't ready so she ordered the old reliable) As for me I ordered the turkey club and it was hands down top turkey club I've ever had. This skyscraper was massive. We bother ordered the homemade fries and they were meah. Better with some more salt. All in all I think we'll stop every year we're in town and will recommend to everyone headed that way.

The "fresh baked" Mac and cheese suggested by the owner had no flavor. Not even cheese. Just mushy elbow macaroni. But worse, I asked if the battered haddock sandwich was fresh or frozen and the owner - who was sitting in a booth working on a laptop, lied and emphatically said it was. No, it sure wasn't. You know flat haddock strips that are breaded and frozen and sold in bulk? And the restaurant then just heats it up in hot oil? Kinda like a Tops fish fry? That's what it was. Slapped on a slightly toasted hoagie roll with a plastic cup of tartar sauce, no lettuce or tomato. Plus my $3 Diet Coke arrived in a little juice glass, lol. Lots of empty tables but still a 15 min wait, and they didn't seem to have enough staff to keep up with bussing dirty tables. All in all a poor lunch experience for two with bill over $50. Something is really wrong when a restaurant can't keep enough staff to run properly. I miss Koffee Kove.
