    Gin cocktail

I had been following Shipwreck Eatery online for quite a while before I finally ended up here for lunch. I'm so glad I did! My husband got a breakfast sandwich with roasted red peppers, avocado, and cheese. I got the burrito bowl minus real chicken and with vegan chicken, sour cream and hot sauce on the side. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating (we sat outside on the covered patio). There's a gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence River and several islands. I wish I had taken a picture of the cocktail menu because I couldn't locate it anywhere online. My husband got a very tasty gin drink with ginger beer, and neither of us can remember the name. I think they need to make a bigger deal about the "build your own" salads, sandwiches, and bowls. I'm a picky eater with dietary restrictions, so many restaurants in this region are out of the question for me, but Shipwreck is perfect. I didn't even know I could customize my bowl until I saw that menu randomly on the counter. Kids will probably love to make their own creation too.

The person that took our order was very friendly and welcoming. The food and coffee were delicious! Beautiful scenery right by the river to enjoy as you eat on the outside patio. We will definitely be back!

Stopped at this small eatery for breakfast one morning in early October - Once you order at the register, you have a choice to sit at the small bar, several tables indoors, or covered outdoor seating in the back that overlooks the water. Food was pretty good and coffee (only hot available) wasn't bad. Staff were friendly. Not a must-go spot, but not unsatisfied either!

Great service, delicious food, wonderful river views from the deck. Hopefully you can catch breakfast or lunch here while they are open for the season

Shipwreck eatery is no longer open. There is a new restaurant call the sunshine Café in its place. I will post a review there.

Great food! Good vegan options also, not just an afterthought. Casual lunch place with a great patio over the water.

The coffee was slightly bitter for my taste, but overall it was good and I enjoyed it. I also ordered an almond bear claw. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it contained raisins, and I'm not a fan of raisins, so I probably wouldn't have chosen it had I known. That said, the pastry itself was fresh and tasty, and the raisins were more of a personal preference issue than a problem with the food. My wife ordered an iced chai latte and absolutely loved it. She often finds chai lattes to be watered down, but she said this one was perfectly sweet, full of flavor, and one of the better ones she's had. The cafe itself is cute, very clean, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely order from here again.

The croissants (chocolate and almond) were not good . They were more bread than croissant. The croissant egg and cheese sandwich was decent but nothing special. The appetizer we originally ordered wasn't available, so we ordered the crab dip. Unfortunately, it contained very little crab, had a thick, paste-like texture, and was so unappetizing that we barely touched it. The entrees were even more disappointing. Two chicken dishes were literally inedible due to their taste, appearance, and poor preparation. The pork chops were edible but very dry, and they weren't served with the side dish described on the menu. The steak was also overcooked, dry, lacking flavor, and also came with the wrong side dish. What made the experience even more disappointing was the complete lack of attention from management. With multiple meals left untouched or barely eaten, you would expect a manager to stop by the table, ask about the experience, or make an effort to address the obvious problems. That never happened. The one bright spot of the evening was our server, who was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and did everything she could to make the best of a very disappointing dining experience. She deserves recognition because the poor food and lack of management were not a reflection of her excellent service. In an effort of some compensation we were given a couple plates of chocolate covered cherries and cream that were the best part of the entire meal. Too little too late. We ordered the following: 1,000 Island Omelet (ham, onion, bell pepper, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes). The omelet was accompanied by perfectly seasoned potatoes, strawberries, and rye roast. The other order was the Harbor Breakfast (2 sunny side up eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, English muffins, and strawberry). Both of these selections were flavorful, filling, and cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend the Seaway Grille enough and am so glad that it's conveniently located within the 1,000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

First off, their website is odd. Not much information, quite confusing, sometimes it won't even load (on mobile device), so if you're trying to make a reservation, call them directly. Location, beautiful, along the river, great outdoor seating. I'm sure dinner and sunset is stunning. Good, it was okay. We ordered kids breakfast, huevos rancheros skillet thing, chicken and waffles, biscuit and gravy, and the whisky flight. The huevos ranchero was good, nothing to rave over but good. The chicken and waffles didn't come with syrup at first, I'm sure it was a mistake. The biscuit and gravy... looked amazing, but the biscuits were hard. Like rock hard, and even after sitting in the gravy, no moisture would come back. Haha Service... the lady was so sweet, but she kept forgetting us, she would place hot things right in front of the baby where she would easily grab it. She had a hard time splitting the bill. Ultimately we had to ask another waitress for water refill and splitting our bill. Maybe we will go back... but not in a rush.

I was in a party of two and we ordered a small veggie pizza and falafel with hummus...40 minutes later still no food and no one has given an update. It's no longer busy. When we finally flagged down wait staff (our server was nowhere to be found) we were told they just put it in. So our server clearly never put the order in. Once the food came, my companion's vegetable pizza was burned. My falafel was barely warm, not fried, and soggy. There was no hummus to be found. The side salad was beautiful and tasted great. once I picked out the giant pieces of onion. The 1000 island dressing was excellent. The restaurant was busy when we arrived so I'm guessing locals like it. Perhaps we just came on an off night. But we certainly won't be back next year.
