We recently used Trico Long Distance Movers to move all of our festival gear into the festival location, and then back to the warehouse, and we only have words of praise for them. We worked with countless other movers before, but none of them can even compare to Trico. So we figured we should leave a review for them, they really deserve it. We organize a festival dedicated to Japanese pop culture every spring, and as you can imagine, we have a lot of equipment that we need to make the whole thing happen. We like to use our own gear instead of relying on what the venue provides, since they're not always completely reliable. But that comes at a cost too - every year we have to figure out a way to transport it all from the warehouse to the venue and back. Well I think that we finally found a long-term solution this year, and it's these guys. They really took great care of everything. Mind you, we weren't only transporting things like speakers and projectors, but also exhibits, props, and stuff like that. The festival lasts for several days, and as you can imagine, the program is very extensive, so we need a lot of equipment to make it all happen. Anyway, there is not one particular reason why we chose Trico Long Distance Movers - really, they were just the next ones on our list of movers we haven't worked with yet. So we gave them a call, arranged for the guys to come to estimate the price, and agreed on the date. And I have to be honest, I was already prepared for delays and so on, but these guys really proved me wrong. They came on the exact date, at the exact time. They really swept us all off our feet. They were highly professional, knew exactly how to deal with different kinds of equipment, and even props. I mean, it was obvious that they have had the training, and weren't just kids on their part time jobs. They really were professional movers. Needless to say, everything arrived without a scratch, and the festival went great. In fact, we were so pleased with the services that the guys who helped move our things got VIP passes. And we'd gladly have them as guests next year too. After the festival was over, they got all of the equipment back into the warehouse just as quickly (mind you, this wasn't a short distance thing, the venue and the warehouse are in two different states). When I decided to move from Austin to Boston, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Having just graduated from University of Texas, I was convinced I could do anything, and that moving was the easiest thing in the world. My parents told me right away that I should probably look into moving companies and consider hiring some help, but I laughed it off. So I enthusiastically started packing. I had done some research online, so I took care to mark the moving boxes, write down everything that was in them, and I had a feeling everything was going great. My eldest son finished college not too long ago and wanted me to help him move his things back to the Chicago area so he could look for a job back home. He had found this company online and it looked pretty good. It was also pretty close to the apartment he had been sharing with friends in Austin. Eve was very nice over the phone and was able to give me a quote fairly quick after I went over the list of everything that needed to be moved. Unfortunately I was laid off from my job a few weeks ago. And needed to move back in with my brother in New Jersey. I looked around online to see if anyone knew any cheap moving services and came across Trico. They were great from the start and understood my situation. I hate moving. Having to attend a new school. Having to be familiar with a new area. Since a kid I could not adapt to the change of surroundings. This company is great for shipping precious items. I needed help shipping an old time car that I was keeping in storage and they did a tremendous job.
