Quote came in from their office at 8 hours. Total disconnect. I spoke to the owner who said their employee under quotes, why send him??? and then quote on the high side and cover for all eventualities? Again why send an experienced professional, quote figures then follow through with an estimate with "well we only charge you what it ends up". So what is it, the professional mover or the office prices?? This is so unprofessional.

I used Greater Austin Moving for my last move; the third move I have made in Austin over 18 years…read more Greater Austin Moving was by far the most expensive service provider I have ever used, but we understood they would be providing a premium service. That is not the experience we had. We sustained more damage than we have experienced before while the work cost 5x more than we have ever paid. The proprietor reduced our $20k+ bill (for a 2628 sq ft house where we did the unpacking ourselves) by only $300 as compensation. As well, the service provider used inconsistent levels of packaging; in some cases, highly durable items were wrapped excessively, while in other cases fragile items were wrapped sparingly. This approach resulted in extra work for us, and (predictably) unacceptable levels of damage to our belongings. I would highly recommend against using this provider.

We never received a confirmation, just a verbal time and date. If we wouldn't of called around 10am to check where they were the movers would not have come. I called the office when I was quoted over 350 dollars extra as my move passed the 5 hour mark. Yes, 5 hours for a move that is 1br to 1br 50 yards apart. The office was 0 help. Told me the manager wasn't available and that if I did not pay the movers they'd call the police. Finally got a call from Austin who took my credit card over the phone because he didn't trust me to give the details to the movers. I paid it. I will say that both movers were extremely friendly and they did work their butts off. I don't know why it took so long. Something didn't add up and I just wanted to point this out before making the payment. I'd stay away from this place. I've never felt like I needed to leave a bad review for one of these companies until now.

These guys charge by time and all I can say is that at the time we moved our team of guys took sooooooo long to move our stuff. Not only that .. they actually took a break on the way to our new home and disappeared on us for over almost two hours. When we asked where they went they said they had to stop for gas and snacks. We were charged for the time they "filled gas" and had snacks. There isn't much more I can say about this business other than that. The manager stopped by at the end of the job and asked us how things went so we told him about the long break but he didn't say much and we were asked to pay so we did. Conclusion - make sure you ask about the time they charge for and if breaks are included etc.

The movers took ~45 minutes for lunch while moving the items between our start point and destination which they CHARGED us for. They asked if it was OK if they took 15 minutes to stop at a gas station on the way. There was no mention of whether or not we would be charged. We agreed but the break was actually 45 minutes. We had arrived at our new house and were waiting more than 45 minutes for them to arrive. Lo and behold, we were charged for their 45 minute lunch break. On top of that, some of the boxes were delivered to the wrong rooms, even when they were clearly marked. This can be a big problem when we are talking upstairs vs downstairs and you're a petite woman that has difficulty moving boxes. No way would I use Blue Ribbon again.

When I said I had none, they loaded fragile electronics and lamps into boxes completely unprotected. I have attached photos of the movers on the delivery end opening a box with a smashed glass lamp and broken computer monitors with absolutely no packing material around them. Because this was a deliberate decision to load fragile items bare rather than an accidental mishap, I feel a public review is the most equitable way to address it. I cannot recommend their white glove packing service.

They found managed the massively steep driveway and arrived on time. Then they managed to find my place when a rideshare I won't name can't find my house. I've decided if I ever move one of the pieces just comes with the place because it was so large I don't even know how the guys managed to get it up my stair case that does a complete turn. I was sure I was going to be asking them to take it back to my parents house instead but they got it up there unharmed!

Payment was easy and their customer service team is so fast to respond to emails. The pickup was right in the middle of their estimated 3-day window. The driver will meet you in a large parking lot for pickup (ie Home Depot, Walmart, etc). They were nice enough to come to a big lot in the Domain right by my house! Took all of 5 minutes to hand off the car. Best of all, my car was delivered SUPER fast. It arrived to Detroit two days after the pickup, way ahead of the 5-7 day ETA. The driver met my family at a grocery store lot close to home and the handoff was quick and easy. Very pleased with my experience and would recommend to anyone shipping their car out of Austin!

I would recommend this company located in Austin I'm in California temporary so I had my car come from Austin Texas to Orange County California the service was prompt and everyone was very communicative even when I had questions via e mail the response was very quick.
