Sasha helped me and she was great, making sure everything worked for my body and my needs. I also brought in my daughter's stuff because we had problems with the boots and bindings (marketplace purchase because we weren't sure she'd stick with it). I expected to have to buy new bindings. They didn't sell me anything that I didn't need and they shared all of their experience to help us solve the problem. I am SO thankful for everything they shared, there is no way we'd have reached that point on our own. We worked with Travis and Matt who were really awesome. I definitely recommend coming here if you have any issues or unique needs, or if you need a new setup or are a beginner. Also, stop in just for your regular stuff! They have a huge selection of all of the layers and accessories. Obviously there are expensive things, but it isn't an uncomfortable sales environment at all.

I have conservatively spent over $4000 at this establishment over the past several years, and I keep coming back despite the profound lack of customer service that I've experienced previously. But they're the only show in town, and what can you do right? Well, today was the last straw. I was literally the only customer in the store. Not only did nobody ask me if I need it any assistance, but while I was browsing in the children's section, one of their technicians walked by me, kicked me in the shins, bumped me into the clothing rack and didn't apologize or say excuse me. He didn't even acknowledge that I was there. It's bad enough that most ski bums are drunk or high while they're working, in addition to being allergic to basic customer service. It's even worse when they assault you while they're ignoring you. I will never, ever ever ever set foot in an Arlberg again.

Left with the shoes, a lifetime membership ($35 and they threw in a $20 gift card?!), and a newfound love for REI. My first time ever at an REI and I am now like... where have you been all my life? I sadly forget the name of the gentleman who helped me, but buying shoes for something as niche as cycling can be a little intimidating when you're not a pro. He not only helped me find the perfect pair but also shared so much valuable knowledge about clipped-in shoes, techniques, all the different types. It was such a great interaction that I decided to become a member on the spot. I won't go too deep into the membership since it's not specific to this store, but it basically pays for itself after a few purchases thanks to the 10% back and free shipping on everything online. I then browsed around and was impressed by everything they carry, from well-known outdoor brands to local ones. They also have this really cool section in the back where members can buy previously returned items at a heavily discounted price. LOVE.

After my experience yesterday at your Portland location I will no longer be doing business or recommended you to anyone, I will probably let everyone know about my negative experience there. I stopped to get my tank filled Saturday August 12 around 11 am the woman started to asking me about my certification I very politely told her about my scuba education then offered her to see my card. She then went on to accuse my card of not being me but this is the same card she has accepted over 20 times. I then provide her with my driver's license to prove who I was. My hair is a little longer but the picture most definitely looks like me. I was just in the shop around the end of June to have the tanks vis and hydro she had no problem accepting my card then. After being treated with such disrespect and being giving such a hard I told her I was just thinking about taking my tanks and getting them filled elsewhere and this point she started yelling at me telling me to leave. I come from family of scuba diver and have been all over the world scuba diving been in many dive shops and I have never been treated so poorly I completely shocked and bothered how your employee treated me.
