Back in September my landlord gave me notice to move out. After realizing that the rental market…read moreis a complete ripoff for a single person making less than $50,000 a year, I decided to try and buy something. Landlords have made it nearly impossible to find an affordable apartment in decent area. Some places charge more than $3 a foot for something about as big as my old apartment's living room. The first place I saw when I pulled up a search was Kuranda Financial Mortgage. I had heard the commercials over the years and driven by the office countless times. I figured I would give them a call. It was the smartest thing I've done in years. Justin Morrison picked up the phone. I could tell he had the kind of personality I could work with. Very professional and respectful. He was able to qualify me for a small condo without a problem in just a few minutes. He referred me to an excellent real estate agent who he works great in tandem with. What a winning team. Even though my credit was fine, I had an issue that he was able to tackle while still maintaining the best possible interest rate. In addition, although I carry no debt, the mortgage itself created a higher debt ratio than most lenders like to see. My own credit union wouldn't touch my loan. Let me now say that I used to be a loan officer years ago for a short time. Since the early 1990s I have heard loan officers and commercials boasting about closing a home loan in 3 weeks. Reality is that only the hardest working loan officers can accomplish this and many times it requires a bit of luck. So these promises of quick closings fall apart more often than not. I was recently listening to a The Jim Rome Show on Tune In Radio and a mortgage company claimed came on and said they could close a REFINANCE (much easier to close a refi faster than a home purchase) in 3 weeks. Well, in this day and age I would hope they could. By contrast, the only reason Justin didn't set up our closing in 3 weeks OR LESS is because we agreed with the seller to close in 30 days in the sales contract. Amazingly Justin was able to do everything over the phone or via email throughout the entire process. I still have not met him in person. I can tell you he is one of the most professional hard working people I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with. When I'm spending my hard earned money, I refuse to deal with arrogance, not getting things done, and a lack of communication. Justin literally helped save me from the cold, harsh rental market. I now own something for the same cost as what I was paying at my apartment. That low rent no longer exists as the landlord basically gentrified me out of there by raising the rent from $910 a month for 875 square feet to $1600 or $1700. Good riddance!

I put in for a refi with a few companies and my salesperson reached out to me proactively to sell me on their rates. Promised a low rate (which, after some reasearch, was par with market at best), then went completely MIA. His team had whoopsie after whoopsie including FORGETTING EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION until late on the Friday before we were set to close. They went completely dark for over a month - I reached out to find out what was what and got a snippy reply with "unprecedented demand" something something. No kidding dude, that's why EVERYONE is refinancing. Don't know why you reached out if you couldn't service it. Took a solid 4 months to close and have been completely MIA since. I'm fairly sure they forgot to renew their contract with their email provider, as everyone's email (including customer service) have been down sicne new years, and nobody is answering the phone. They got the mortgage done, but probably cost me about $4k relative to going with a more known provider.

It is now evident that we put far too much trust in Trident. Their abject failure to proactively communicate with us has now cost us our originally guaranteed rate lock and significantly increased our borrowing costs. As a result, we will have more than $30,000 in additional borrowing costs over the course of our 30 year mortgage.

Jamie knows I had a bad experience with a real estate agent and mortgage broker In the past (who didnt care about the client) so she made it her goal to make sure her clients feel heard, properly represented, and supported. She wants her clients to go into and leave the deal with peace of mind that they got the best deal possible. Jamie actually cares about her individual client's needs more than anything! she is building a brand and that brand is all about word of mouth and referrals based on ideal service and representation!

What I think separates me from other agents is my value proposition. Any Agent can list a property on the MLS. I go above and beyond for my clients and fight tooth and nail until I get their homes sold in the quickest amount of time, netting them highest dollar amount, with the least amount of stress. I have a strong marketing plan and negotiation skills that put my clients in the best situation. With my home buyers, I make sure that I know all of their wants and needs and always make sure I am attentive. If they want to see a home, I am not asking other Agents to show them. I work one on one with my clients so that I am completely in the loop from contract to close. My business depends on referrals that I receive from all of my amazing clients, and I pride myself on providing the best customer service they have ever had when doing a Real Estate transaction. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person will make, so it is my job to provide expert market knowledge, communication skills, negotiation skills, all while making it fun and as stress free as possible! As a mother myself, I know what is important to families. Let me guide you through this process, and get the conversation started!
