Not your regular gym. Excellent all around fitness training facility. Great weight training and group classes included in your membership including and awesome yoga studio. People are friendly, weight room never crowded, they don't push you to buy training packages. You can get some Crossfit like classes without having to pay the higher fees plus you get towel service and much better facilities including a great indoor lap pool. read more

I don't usually like gyms because I prefer classes to working out on my own and generally find small studios focused on their niche (yoga, pilates, spinning, etc) better than the supermarket approach as a gym, but trifit is a cut above. I get the membership free through my employer so I have less to lose when judging them but Merle's spin classes are just friggin excellent. He plays really fun music and and has the most inspiring sports videos out on the big screen. Instead of feeling like you are working out in this self-obsessed lose-the-fat kind of way, Merle makes you feel like an athlete riding on the Tour de France. I'm always ready to sign up for a triathalon after. But then I come to my senses. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the towels are so insanely scratchy that I get sore on my hands from using them on the bike and feel like i've been rubbed all over with sandpaper after toweling off in the shower. 4 stars because the facilities, while better than a lot of the gyms around, are not the best I've ever been to. The bootcamp class with Ryan is 5 stars quality. Super challenging and you really feel the difference it's making with your conditioning. He is a great motivator and very knowledgeable. I always see him providing alternate techniques for those who have injuries etc... I'd highly recommend. He also teaches a kickboxing class that I can't wait to attend. Right now I have conflicting meeting or I'd be leaving a review for that as well. I also really enjoy the martial arts class with Richard Alonzo. He focuses really deep on the mechanics, and conditioning your body to execute those mechanics with real strength, speed, accuracy, and proper form. He also does a great job of mixing up routines between really challenging physical workout, to very technical boxing, kicking, even weapons training. It's always fun and interesting. read more

Clean. Convient. Un-Crowded. I've been going to Tri-fit for almost two years now and have been really pleased with my gym choice. I work at Hulu currently which is in the same complex (Colorado Center) as Trifit, so having the ability to go to the gym in the morning and head to the office in literally minutes, is fantastic. The strongest points. It is clean, it is close to Hulu (and several other companies), and it rarely gets busy. Even though the weight/cardio room is quite small and there are limited machines, because it is not that busy... I typically always can get the machine/weights I want. Classes. I've been to the yoga classes and circuit-esque classes. Yoga is great, especially Lauren's yoga electric class (basically a typical vinyasa flow class). Circuit classes can be challenging, simply depends on what instructor you get. I do wish Trifit offered a greater number of classes at a variety of times, but in general it works out. Staff. The trainers are really nice, and though I've never taken a session with them, they always say hi, know my name, and just make the place really friendly. Price. Not the cheapest gym, but I think for the price (in between LA Fitness/Spectrum and Equinox) it gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I like a smaller, more intimate gym, so this worked out for me. Overall - great gym, I love it at trifit and am sad the day I move and will have to find another gym like this. read more

I recently left Spectrum/Bay Club in favor of TriFit. Here's what I have to say: I'm under the corporate rate (for both clubs) and the difference in prices were about $20/month (with the corporate rate). TriFit has more classes accessible to your average person who wants to get into shape (i.e. yoga, cycle, swim, etc.). TriFit also has a pool which is a bonus. TriFit tends to be less crowded in the AM, however, both are about equally crowded at night. The biggest drawback I've found for TriFit is the locker rooms. The locker rooms at Spectrum/Bay Club are far superior in cleanliness and in in size. While this does erk me to some degree, it also means I'm not spending 2 hours in the TriFit locker room pampering myself (which I tend to do at Bay Club). Dollar for dollar I think I made the right choice. read more

To clarify on the parking. I just called and there is a one time $14 parking card you can get they covers the entire time of your membership and parking is free on the weekends. If your child is in the Alonzo martial arts program. The membership is only $49/mo. read more

My review is a little dated since I used to work out at this gym between 2011 and 2012. But even though I've been away from LA for many years this was the best gym I've ever worked out at. I've never lost so much weight during the span of a year as a did here. It was mostly a spin class I took from an instructor named Merle. His classes were awesome - great music and awesome energy without the pretentiousness you see in spin classes today (eg SoulCycle). The spin facility was great and their bikes were always in good shape. I liked the staff and the locker rooms were clean and always stocked with towels. I have been trying to find out where Merle teaches now but in general TriFit was a great gym. read more

This is my neighborhood gym for years. Literally everyone knows your name. They have shown true resilience and resourcefulness during our current lockdown. With a smile. As someone else has noted, the insides are as clean as a hospital once we're able to get back in. In the meantime, enjoy the outdoor donation-based classes on offer. Remember, aside from wearing a mask, keeping your distance, and washing your hands, keeping healthy through exercise is the best thing you can do to protect yourself and others. read more

Trifit is by far the best gym I've ever belonged to. It is relatively small, but great staff and never crowded. I've never liked big chain gyms before so Trifit is a great fit for me. It has everything I need, is clean and has towel service. I usually hit up the spin classes at least twice a week. Merle's classes are so awesome, but I have also liked every other spin instructor I've been to. I've been wanting to try out some of the other classes like kickboxing, yoga, swim, etc. Overall, this is a very well run business and I always feel like a valued customer here. read more

Who knows if this gym offers parking and for how long, reason being I park inside this building but work across the street. I rather pay my monthly fee of parking for the gym as it is about $115 a month and have parking through them. Not sure for how long it is but figured I'd give it a shot Please let me know. read more

This is an updated review since I've been here long enough to truly rate Trifit. It's a hard 1 star. First the good. Their instructors and front desk attendants are super friendly. Now the bad. The gym is small, it's disjointed so there's 5 rooms in 5 different places, and they charge you fees they don't disclose. I.e: There's a $35 amenities charge they don't tell you about. Also, their "30 day cancellation notice" is really 30 calendar days so my February 7th cancellation isn't effective until April1. It's a shame they have such unfriendly customer service policies because the people are nice. I'd stay away. read more

Even after they caused me a serious accident - the OWNER left the treadmill going at full speed!!! - and I couldn't go back due to their negligence -they wouldn't let me leave. Trifit has been an amazing experience for me. I love the fact that you get unlimited yoga, group classes, and gym access for $75 a month! I have paid up to $130 in the area for yoga alone. I go during peak hours and have never once had to wait for a machine, or not get into a class. Instructors are great and make it a point to get to know regular attendees of their class. I'd definitely recommend, especially if you work in the nearby complex. read more

I really like this gym a lot. It's very small but packed with everything you need. Weights, cardio, pool, tennis courts, yoga. I came from Equinox which is the best gym I've ever been to. It was a small adjustment moving from there to here. It's sort of a small Equinox in some way. I like that it's sort of this hidden gem too, there are zero douche bags here, no one trying to prove a point or judge you. I'm very glad I found this gym. Bonus: no contact, and you can get a two week trial for very cheap. The only thing to look out for are the parking and amenities fee, kind of shocked me at first but oh well. read more

I work in the Colorado Center (formerly known as the Yahoo Center) so I go to this gym out of ease. I think its a perfectly nice gym, but a bit over priced. And they charge an annual towel fee and for parking if you need it. Yes, its definitely nicer than a 24 hour fitness - mostly because of the locker room and the yoga studio. They offer a lot of yoga classes (included in your membership fee) so that makes it worth it to me. Steve Jones' class is my favorite one I've taken so far (Tues & Thurs at 5:45). I wish there were more pilates classes, there's only 1 on Fridays at noon. The locker room is pretty nice and the showers are individual stalls. As for the actual gym, there aren't many machines or a lot of room to stretch or do floor exercises. Its a really small area. The equipment is also a little outdated. It'd be nice if the cardio machines had TVs like a lot of gyms do now. The people who work here are always really friendly. Pretty good, but if I didn't work in the Colorado Center I probably wouldn't go here. read more

After a generally positive experience using Trifit for my Ironman training in the pool, we had a very disappointing experience cancelling our membership. After my wife called on the phone to cancel our membership, Juan at the front desk informed her that only I could cancel and I had to be in-person. This seemed ridiculous considering payments aren't done in-person. Due to my travel we ended up paying for multiple months having never even set foot in the gym. So I went in and cancelled. But it gets better! We just found out that my wife was about to be charged because when I cancelled the family plan, they kept her active. AND after talking to their accounting, we found out, our plan could have been cancelled by any one of us on the plan. All said and done, over $500 paid for a service we not only didn't want, but that we never intended on using. I'm in the fitness industry and this type of thing is just disappointing to see. Is a damaged reputation worth the extra couple of months of fees. Doesn't make sense. read more

I really like this gym. While I've only been a member for about 2 months, I am a fan. It is clean and the classes are challenging with a convenient schedule. Additionally, the staff is AMAZING. Everyone is friendly and available to answer any questions, plus they remember you - which is a lovely personal touch. The yoga instructors are particularly great - especially Rachel, who teaches Vinyasa Flow. The woman makes you laugh while pushing you to challenge yourself. It quickly became one of my favorite classes. I highly recommend this facility. read more

Gym, yoga, pool, bike fit, metabolic testing, physical therapy, massage, and very clean lockers with complementary shampoo and conditioner. In the past I have been a member of other gyms that were cheaper, but did not have much to offer besides general workout equipment and a few classes at inconvenient times with no variety. At Trifit that is not the case and I think that the cost for the membership is on par with what they have to offer. They have an expansive list of classes for members to take that span from squash to power yoga and educated instructors. I like that they offer a brief biography of the instructors for every class to give me peace of mind. The gym is well-maintained and I feel that the atmosphere is very positive for growth and improvement. read more

In the interest of full disclosure, I get an extremely discounted rate through my work so I haven't had to go through the hassle of contracts etc, so my review just covers the gym itself. I like this gym very much, its not the fanciest gym Ive ever been to but it's definitely up there. They offer tons of classes, which I really like, I like being told what to do and they offer a lot of variety so I don't get too bored. I tend not use the other parts of the gym too much but they have a ton of cardio machines, even right after work, you can find one pretty easily, there are also free weights and machines as well a swimming pool, boxing and yoga. I even like the locker room, they have showers. Parking is under ground and shared with all the businesses in the building. Im not sure if I would join if I had to pay full price, but that really has to do with my frugality, not the gym. I do like this gym and would recommend it. read more

Love my membership at TriFit, I don't take it for granted. I've paid for a few different gyms and hands down TriFit is tops!! The staff are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. The schedule of classes is diverse and well planned. Although I wouldn't mind if a few body barre classes were added to the evening... In addition to the class schedule you can join activities, I'm doing the Mini Triathlon this weekend and I'm super excited. Trifit is a great club that pretty much has everything you need. The selling point for me was the indoor lap pool because whenever I want to use the local city pools they always have odd hours I can never make because of work. It's extremely convenient and near my work and is full of young professionals and an older crowd. I'm only jealous that I don't have the corporate discount that they all get! Oh well, I still think it's worth the money and I haven't really had a problem with equipment being in use and the staff is relatively friendly, but I'm also a really socially awkward person too, so don't take my word for it. read more

TriFit is a great gym with all the amenities that I need. Whenever I go in, I never have to wait for any machines, and the classes are never crowded. this place is convenient for me since its in the same complex as i work. the staff is super friendly and the amenities are really nice. they have a bunch for different classes that offer a wide range of different work outs. also, they have towels for working out and showering. something i really like about this place is they offer hangers for your clothes. the gym is always clean and pretty empty. i wish they had more types of bench presses (they only have flat). great view of the outside if you're doing cardio on the treadmill. i took the kickboxing class and it was alot of fun. the instructor was really nice and patient as it was my first class the only downside about this is their work out rooms/other equipment are not all in the same area. you must walk around the building (past the food court) to get to the other rooms. read more
